Scott....the worst salesman ever! More like a sloppy, unorganized used car salesman. Almost 4 weeks later, and never sent us an estimate from his sloppy presentation!
The sales manager....lack of follow up regarding customer satisfaction or lack thereof.
RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!

This company is horrible. Very unprofessional, non responsive, poor quality work and they even left my fencing project incomplete. We ended up in court and Clinton fence was found to have breached the contract. Do not trust this company.

In May of this year (2024)
Clinton Fence came and completed the fence job. They did a great job!, after a long wait.

The installers did a fantastic job and my new fence looks great. The price was great and the company gave me a military discount which was much appreciated. I highly recommend the Clinton Fence Company.

Showed up randomly without calling to schedule a time, finished about 75% of the fence then left. Have called, emailed and went in person to get them to finish the fence. Always get told they will call back, they never do. They started in Oct 2024.

I have never encountered such hacks. If you are considering new windows for the love of God, go else where. They had their best guy (chuck) according to the owner of the company. When I spoke to him after Chuck had been by twice and had not finished and left a mess I was told to give Chuck another chance to fix it. He came again with his brother. Who he said what excellent with drywall. There was drywall damage from the install. Completely understandable. He slapped mud on in heaps and they left. I had to finish the job. We had called Chuck and scheduled him to come and complete/ fix his mistakes. He no-showed twice. Just as an example of the incompetence. He used almond caulk on the exterior of a white house. I have spent hours fixing today. Granted it has been 3 years however I believe the caulking even the wrong color should not be cracked and need to be redone. I took out gobs and gobs of caulking. He lift trim pieces off windows that keep the draft out. This is the kind of subs they use and they are their best. After talking to the owner I can only assume he could care less about the quality of work with his companies name on it. I personally probably cost him 5 jobs from neighbors and friends who needed new windows. And I wont stop. So, if you want mediocre at best work (I work on computers, have no experience, and could have figured out how to install windows better) a company that doesn't stand by the work their name is on go ahead throw the dice. Maybe you will have a better experience but I doubt it. My wife has put another call into the owner 4 days ago. Im sure there will be no resolve but seriously stay away. There are other local businesses. I think I have hit all the socials. Im going to post on the SOMD site and then Better Business Bureau. Then I will just stick to telling everyone I meet that brings up windows to go anywhere but Clinton Fence. Lowes and Home Depot would do a better job sending their cashiers to do it for you.

Called for a consultation on fencing in my yard. A day later a representative called me back and was very dismissive, over talked me when I was trying to explain my request and then said he didn't understand my request when in fact he just was not intently listening. I called my husband over to take the call instead because I just couldn't deal with the fast talking, non listening, and lack of professionalism overall. I will not be using this company. First impressions are important!

We were extremely pleased with the work performed by Clinton Fence. We came to them after a terrible experience with another local company. Jim and crew were professional, reliable and the work is impeccable. We can’t recommend them enough!

Our installer Rick was awesome and communicated well. Dealing with Tony King was a very disappointing experience.

I text Tony the day of the delivery and clearly stated “drop the materials in the driveway.” Come home and the materials are dropped on the side of house with tire tracks through my yard and damage to my lawn. He texts me and states “driver took picture and damage a position of your lane” ok no bigs I told him if there was dirty left over I don’t mind filling in the hole. There was no dirt left over.

I text him a couple times with little response until I finally send him pics again and with the text thread. He asks his driver and the driver is like “yeah in cove point they had cars in the driveway” I live in California , Md. so the driver was totally confused. I told him I was looking for 3-4 bags of topsoil to address this and I’m good.

He ends up calling us petty and that we are “ irritating him” lol this is the type of customer service they have. They damage your lawn and then don’t take any accountability. He claims I instructed the driver to hand stack the materials on the side of the house to get away with any responsibility for the lawn.

You may want to look elsewhere for a fence installer.

Never use this company! Their customer service is atrocious. I was referred to Clinton Fence by my realtor. I was selling Mom's house and when my husband met with their employee he was advised of this. They were to come out Aug 8th because the final walk through was the 16th and closing was the 17th. They did not show or call. My husband called them & they said because of the rain they were behind but they would be out that Thurs or Fri. Again no show or call. My husband called & they said they would definitely be out on Monday the 15th. He again explained that it has to be done Monday because of the walk through & closing. They came out and left wood in my yard but did not do the work. Again they did not call us. My husband spoke with Gary & he said they were out there between 9 & 10 am but needed a jack hammer. They said they would definitely be out Tuesday morning the day of the walk through. I called & spoke with Gary who acted like it didn't matter to him whether we cancelled the job or not. He said they didn't know they would need a jack hammer and they couldn't send him to get one because his guy had to take his child to the doctor. I want my deposit of $400 back. Do not believe this company. They just keep putting you off and you have to call them. There are much better and more reliable fence companies out there.

Amazing work! Had a Split rail fence for our backyard and a Vinyl gate set up on our porch. Quality work, on time, and great customer service! I don’t normally write reviews but we honestly had a great experience.

I called Clinton fence several times, left several messages, spoke with someone to request An appointment to get a chain-link fence. I was told several times that someone would call me back, but they never did. I went with Another fence company instead.

These guys really worked with us. Very knowledgeable and willing to explain things to us. I would highly recommend them. They were several $100s cheaper even after the other company told us to be aware of materials used. The other local company also very courteous. Well worth talking to each. Hope I feel the same 5 years from now. They have been in business a long time

UPDATE: We've now used George/Clinton & Bowles Fence Co. 3 times at our house, and we have been thrilled with the results each and every time! We now have a beautiful chain link fence around our backyard, and a charming white picket fence in our front yard, and our home now feels so secure. We HIGHLY recommend this amazing company! It's clear they truly value the work they do, and want their customers to be happy. And what incredible service from George, who is so wonderfully hands-on and invested in the project, from start to finish! We could NOT be happier with the amazing work of George Bowles and his team! Our estimate was on Sunday, and by early Tuesday afternoon, we had a beautiful new fence. Such an astoundingly quick and painless process! We couldn't believe it.

They are prompt in returning calls. And quick with coming out and installing. I was pleasantly surprised with their willingness to repair a fence for me without trying to sell an installation of a new one. Thank you for helping repair a fence damaged by a tree and one that was installed incorrectly. 😀

We dropped in the the store and asked about an estimate for fencing around our yard. George was able to fit us in between appointments, He measured the property and gave us an estimate for our original idea. It was much more expensive than we had anticipated. He then took the time to work with us to come up with a plan that would look good and work well and be closer to our budget.

The project, which was large, did take longer than planned. Weather did not help and sometimes they had staffing issues. But in the end we got a good looking fence, well installed. The workmen were pleasant to work with and cleaned up at the end. Very little was left behind.

The sales person said that it would take them 1 1/2 days to put a fence on my yard because it is small. First day, crew appeared for 4 hours; second day, 2 hours. I complained and after some snowy days they sent 2 crews and I was told they would finish that day... they didn't. Next day they finish but they didn't refill the holes they made, they left lots of small pieces behind when they cut the material (I have a dog and a 2 year old so I spent 2 days picking those up) and they promised a handle for the door that I've been waiting for around 2 weeks. So do not rely on what they say. Finish product looks good after I filled the holes.

George Bowles is an excellent Senior Sales Rep for Clinton Fence. He pays attention to the needs of his customers and helped me design a deck around my shed perfectly. He pays attention to detail and has an extremely friendly personality. Clinton Fence is very lucky to have him on their team. Thanks George! Your the best!

With the heavy snow storm this week we had a couple trees take out part of our fencing, making us incapable of letting our dogs out back. I called George after a day of stressing, and he was so helpful and able to have someone come make repairs the next day! I'm a happy customer, but I think my dogs are even happier!
