This is the second time I've used East Coast Tree Care, but apparently I forgot to write a review the first go-round, which I feel bad about because they're phenomenal.

As with any service, your first interaction is with the office staff who schedule an appointment to give you an estimate. The office staff is very friendly and helpful.

The estimators are very knowledgeable and helpful. After an introduction, the estimator provides you with the company's license and insurance information, which is great because most companies make you ask or search for it online. Otto, my estimator, took his time, listened to my concerns and needs, and spent more time on a walk-through of my yard to ensure I didn't have other trees that needed to be tended to. I never once felt rushed. I even had to have him come out a second time because my wife and I decided we needed trees completely removed instead of just pruned. I had the same level of care and attention as the first visit, and he thankfully had a laser pointer with him because one of the branches we needed trimmed wasn't easy to point out from the ground.

Getting the arborist crew scheduled was easy and was pretty close to when Otto came out for my estimate; I lucked out not having big storms around then that could've pushed back my service due to emergency work. My job required a 6-person crew, and they arrived within the window provided the day prior. The crew boss went over with me the work to be done prior to starting.

I was super impressed with the crew's ability to take down a probably 100ft tall 5ft wide maple in one go: they hooked up one of their trucks and their compact track loader to pull the tree in the right direction, then cut right through it. Given the size of both trees, it understandably took a lot of time to break them down, chipping some branches and loading up the bigger stuff to haul away. Between all the work, it took two truckloads of chips and two of unchipped logs to clear everything. While some people might complain about how long dumping those loads took, I was glad the crew had time for breaks. It was hot that day!

Now, when I write reviews, I try to not gloss over potential downsides. I think the biggest "problem" some people might have is that I have a huge patch of lawn that now has no grass. CTLs do a lot of heavy work, but tear up the ground at the same time. I personally don't care: there's now less lawn for me to mow! Yes, there are some divots left from the trees and branches falling, and there are track and tire ruts, but I will take that over the great service and great price.

The best tree service I have ever used. The workers were on time, highly skilled, and careful not to damage anything. They cleaned up the work area nicely. The price I paid was the lowest of three estimates I had gotten to remove three large trees located near buildings. What more can you ask for?, perfect service, on time, at a fair price. It was amazing watching them cut large branches over buildings and lower them onto the ground at the opposite side of the trees. Well done!

We are absolutely elated with the service of East Coast Tree Care. They removed three dead trees from our backyard. The gentleman arrived on time, removed the trees, and left the yard cleaner than it had been before the removal! Service from scheduling, to consult, to the removal was outstanding. Everyone we dealt with at East Coast Tree Care was excellent. An appointment was set up with Carlos and he was on time and gave us an estimate on the spot. Once we agreed to the work, Michelle immediately set the appointment. Julio and his crew arrived on time to do the work. Eddie, the climber, was exceptional. Clean up was perfect. Carlos came back a week later to grind the stump and completed in 10 minutes. Clean up again was perfect . I highly recommend East Coast Tree Care !!! Before and after photos attached.

The crew worked quickly to take down my trees. I asked for them to leave the wood over 2 inches in diameter as I burn it in my furnace. They left pieces that were 8 inches in diameter and larger. I also asked for them to leave the chips as I compost for my garden, which they did. The crew that came later for the stump grinding was also very quick. I would have liked the stumps to have been ground deeper as well as the roots ground. They cleaned all the debris. Overall good experience.

I’m satisfied with the job well done, respect, and the professionalism of the crew members. They included me in the decision making process as they cut the tree asking me if the job was ok. The price of the job was the cheapest after shopping around. I recommend this company without hesitation. Thank you for beautifying my house.

East Coast Tree Care cut my tree well. The protocol they used I found to be unorthodox. Their Forman disgarded some specific instructions I had given him, which was to make sure the tree fell on my property only. He assured me it would. The exact opposite occurred. The tree was dropped completely on my neighbors property. Totally unacceptable. I called The office to speak manager Sharon, which never occurred. Instead I was relayed a message by the office assistant She relayed a message, that offered an explanation to support the inappropriate action. This was an insult to say the least. A reputable business should not¹ stand on skill alone. Honest and integrity is also needed. It is to be noted I was given a discount because I filled a last minute cancelation. Their normal rate is higher than some of their competitors.

They are 100% correct - "the difference is in the service"... Absolutely horrible. Might be good for tree removal but stay away for any other services or if you want your yard to be usable. Job was to clear woods, haul/chip, grade and plant seed. The ground is so uneven you can't walk on it; tons of trash left behind; yard ripped up from their trucks. It looks like a construction site. They are not interested in fixing these problems. Stay away from this business.
