My neighbors (who are currently out of town) had some trees taken down right next to my property line. In the process of cutting down a dead tree, Zumalt took down a healthy tree on my property and left it dangling over my back fence. It has been there for three days. I've called and called, but they have made no effort to rectify this, other than "texting the owner." My next move will have to be to file a police report for property damage, which I do reluctantly. I need tree work done too, but I'll call someone else.

I would highly recommend Zumalt Tree Experts for any tree service. I called many other places and decided to go with this company because of their awesome customer service and quick response time. The crew that came were very polite and thorough. Best service hands down!

I have been a customer of Zumalt for many years, wouldn't think of hiring any one else to work in my yard, have been very satisfied with their work.

I rearranged my work schedule to be available for a 8am Thursday appointment for a 4-hour job. Zumalt was a now show. I called and left 2 voicemails between 8 and 9am. I finally get a call back from the owner, John, at 6:30pm explaining that one of his guys had a heat stroke. I feel bad for the person, but I can't understand how no one in the entire company didn't have the sense to call their scheduled customer the entire day. The job was for 3 guys. At least one person could have followed up with me at some point.

When the owner did call, he said he would make up the job on Saturday. When I politely declined, as is my right, he mumbled something and hung up on me. Several minutes later I get a text from the owner: "Sorry again about today. But it's too bad u care more about $ than people's health."

If I was given a head's up in a timely manner, I would understand. But waiting 10+ hours after the scheduled job to update me, then expecting me to just reschedule is totally unprofessional. Yes, I care about my hard earned money and my time I wasted today. And the unprofessional text from the owner, John, is the icing on the cake.

When we needed to have several trees in our yard cut down, I called a number of tree removal services, Zumalt being one of them. I set up an appointment for a few days later at 4:30 pm in the afternoon. 4:30 came and went, but no one showed up or called. After waiting an hour after the designated time, I called Zumalt again thinking that perhaps there was a miscommunication about the day or the time. When I told the man who answered the phone, who I was and why I was calling, his response was a rather gruff "I just arrived home and it’s been a long and exhausting day". He suggested that we reschedule for the following day. When I said that I wasn’t interested in rescheduling, he said “good” and basically hung up on me. Huh??? What kind of person is this who didn’t have the common courtesy to call to cancel an appointment not to mention, when I contacted him, couldn’t be bothered to even offer an apology for not showing up! Do you want this person doing work in your yard? I certainly don’t. My advice - stay away!! There are too many good, professional and reputable tree removal services around – don’t waste your time dealing with such an unprofessional person who obviously doesn’t have a clue about customer service and isn’t interested in his reputation or in growing his business.

Amazing family owned business. I would highly recommend. They’re super friendly, down to earth and accommodating. They explained my tree removal process thoroughly and gave me an accurate time line. You can’t beat great service for a great price.

They are amazing.took down a few very large oaks near the road of my driveway and cleaned up nicely.I also had a big pine tree fall on my horse trailer a year or so prior and because they did such a great job,I called them again .

Zumalt came to my property on time, trimmed back all trees and shrubs expertly, and all for a fair price. They were also courteous, attentive, and respectful. Zumalt will definitely be getting my business in the future. Scheduling the appointment was also easy and professional.

Zumalt Tree Experts did exactly what I was looking for. I hired them to remove 6 trees in our yard. A couple of them had worn a toe tag for years, another two I thought probably needed to go, and the rest Shawn pointed out as hazards when he came out to do the estimate. He was on-time, friendly, and did a great triage of the trees (does that make it a tree-age?). He was also very up-front about what work he didn’t think I needed Zumalt to do.

A couple weeks later, we scheduled 1 week out. Ollie and the boys showed up bright and early and started chopping within probably 20 minutes, starting with the hardest-to-access tree. It took them a little over 5 hours to take down the 6 trees and chip most of it. I’d planned only to pop out a few times, but ended up watching the felling for most of that time. I find that kind of thing to be fun. The guys cleaned up thoroughly, and wrapped up the work a couple hours earlier than anyone expected. Great, friendly, professional guys. The invoice wasn’t a dime over the estimate.

Ollie told me to expect the log truck in a few days. Sure enough, 3 days later, John showed up to remove the remaining logs. I didn’t know he’d be coming that day, but he arrived at a convenient time. He was friendly and used the claw to load the logs into the truck quickly and with nary an incident. I didn’t even need to move the car.

It’ll probably be some years before I need to, but I’d definitely use Zumalt again.

Zumalt Tree Services did an excellent and professional job in the removal of a very large hickory tree on my property. The tree was close to my home and my neighbors. It was removed carefully and the crew was exceptional. They removed the stump and cleaned the yard. Highly recommend...

I was put in a difficult situation from some storm damaged trees dangerously overhanging my yard. I got the work (plus extra trees) quoted and the Zumalt team was able to get the job done fast and for a reasonable price. I would recommend them and will be using them if I ever need any other trees safely removed.
