Danny and his team at DR stonework & Landscaping were beyond wonderful. We had a nightmare of a previous contractor and our yard was left a mess. The day I reached out to Danny to come help, he came over to my house to assess the situation. Not only did he write up a proposal and a rendering the next day, but gave me good advice on what to do with the previous guy who essentially scammed me.

4 weeks later Danny had finished the project and went above and beyond any expectations I had for our backyard. He even helped out and excavated part of our property that we did not originally discuss.

I have three small children and my 7 year old son was SOOOO excited when “the guys” came each morning at 7am sharp. He followed them around and “helped” them every morning for a week and a half and they were all so kind and patient with him.

I have nothing but appreciation for Danny and his team and cannot recommend this company enough. Prices are fair and the work and dedication from each of the guys really were worth any amount of money. Our property was completely cleaned up and they even cleaned up the mess from the previous contractor!!

D. R. Stonework did a fantastic job repairing my mother's front stone steps. They carefully removed the stones, fixed the broken pieces, and reset everything beautifully—including the railing. The work was done with great attention to detail and completed in a timely manner. I highly recommend their services. Dan is a gem. Before and after pictures are shown.

We recently had a masonry walkway installed, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and detail-oriented. Dan helped us choose the perfect stone. The finished walkway adds so much curb appeal to our home. They kept the worksite clean each day and completed the project on schedule. I recently realized that I never left a review for D.R. Stonework. Fortunately, I can write an even better review for what was already going to be a great review. Danny and his crew installed a patio and coping around our pool in 2019. Not only was his communication and attention to detail better than any other contractor that I have dealt with, but he also advised us on the entire pool project so that he would be able to provide the best patio possible.

Six years later, the patio has not moved at all. It"s still as solid as the day it was installed, and we still get compliments on it every time someone sees it. I couldn't be happpier with the work or the communication. In fact, I plan to have Danny back out for another project in the coming weeks. Quality really matters to Danny, and that will shine through as soon as you meet him, but I can report back after 6 years that he really is the real deal.

Can’t rate the work

My wife reached out to D.R. Stonework to get an estimate of work on our existing stone paver pool deck. Danny was happy to talk with her and discuss the area and set up a site visit. A day prior to the site visit Danny called to state that he was unable to make the appointment due to a job taking longer than estimated and he would call back with his availability.
Waited for Danny to call…Danny never called back.
So I reached out to Danny and spoke with him and set up a date and time for him to come out and look at the work. Danny came out looked at the pool deck, made some recommendations on next steps and would be sending us an estimate.
That was a month ago… 7/4
Still waiting…
A “Hi Danny, We have not received your estimate” follow up email on 7/12 was sent to Danny…
No response…

Having read the reviews and the experiences that other reviewers have had with D.R we were expecting far better.

***Danny responded to this review but not to either our voice mail or email stating that the quote was available on some portal, and that the scope of work and quote was available as of July 16th!
The review was written Aug 4th.
Well what portal? How do we access said portal and why were we not informed by a response to both the email and the voice mail that there was a portal and this is how to access?
This is exactly the type on non communication that solicited the review in the first place.
2 for 2… for poor communication.

Maybe Danny does terrific work. My experience, however, has been that it is impossible to contact him or get him to follow through on providing even an estimate. Sometimes he responds to an inquiry via text or phone and promises to follow up with information, but then nothing comes of it. I have tried to contact him for over a month via text, phone, and email. He has wasted my time and lost a client.

This seems to be a chronic problem with DR Stonework based on one of the other reviews here, and it certainly does nothing to inspire trust or suggest timely and competent work.
