John charges for work not done, or he claims more men were working than were here, or that they worked longer hours than they actually did!

Beautifully maintained yards!

This company destroyed my fence and will not make us whole. I would not use this company... RUN!

Not accountable when their staff does things wrong. No calls back unless you want them to do more landscaping. Not loyal to a 20yr client. Starts before the season starts to get that extra mow charge.

Highly disappointing interactions with this company. The owner thinks he is funny with obnoxious comments and responses to serious questions asked. After clear expectations were agreed upon, additional fees were added to the bill. I'd recommend you look else where.

The crew from Scenic Landscape did a great job taming my very over grown yard. They weeded, pruned, edged, raked, and even removed a beehive. My yard looks great! I will definitely have them back again for a fall cleanup. They will also be putting in some new plantings c ome Spring of 2019.

Refusal to pay for an unfulfilled promise to repair a loam problem (by raking out stones to make grass grow-able) was met with excuses and a lawsuit for payment. In just one day this owner was suing multiple people who were not paying due to his shoddy work and lack of integrity, giving the appearance that letting people down and suing them was a normal practice for this business. I paid him due to a technicality he smugly quoted from his lawyer. I then paid another to remove the stone and glass-filled loam. After seeing this review, the owner of Scenic Landscaping threatened to sue me if I did not remove a picture showing another landscaper's truck being loaded with his unusable loam to be hauled away. The picture remaining shows the dirt and refuse that was removed, as it was being loaded onto that now unseen truck. There are many landscapers to choose from. I recommend looking elsewhere.

John and his crew were great! From talking early in the summer about what my challenges were to seeing through a completely renovated lawn, John was on top of things from the start. Even with some changes I threw at him along the way, he didn't skip a beat. His communication was fantastic and his crew worked hard. Thank you John and team - we are excited for our new lawn!!!

I would highly recommend Scenic Landscaping to anyone looking for landscape construction work on the north shore. John and his crew installed a new walkway and new driveway at my home. It was a big job and they did great work. The quality of the work was outstanding. John's communication throughout the whole process, even while waiting for the job to start, was fantastic. They finished the job right on schedule. Great crew, great work, would highly recommend and refer.

Scenic has a long list of reviews that follow the same pattern. Over promise, under deliver and then over charge you in change orders. If you balk at paying his over inflated add ons he takes you to small claims court.

Let my experience and the experience of others who posted about John be a good warning to follow.

Our experience with Scenic Landscapes was very positive.
John and his crew were very respectful of our property and our time. They arrived promptly at 0730 each work day. John was "on site" and fully involved the entire job that consisted of a new paver walkway, granite mailbox stand, and an asphalt driveway with paver trim.
John responded to every email I sent (3) and provided valuable guidance that was not financially motivated. We are very happy with the results and would recommend Scenic Landscapes without reservation.

I found Scenic Landscape because they were referred to me by my neighbor where they completed extensive work of their yard. The result was and remains highly excellent.

The scope of work at my house is removal of old overgrown bushes and replacement with new plantings, stair and walkway to front door repair with new paving stones, stone veneer application to concrete driveway wall and next week a new driveway.

To say Scenic's work has greatly enhanced the curb appeal of my house is a huge understatement. My wife and I could not be any happier. Dealing with John (the owner) has been a pleasure. He takes great pride in his work and has been on site the majority of the time.

He immediately took the time to talk through my ideas, and by the very next day I had a detailed quote in hand. A couple of quick emails later, mapping out all the details, and everything was finalized and scheduled.

When John and Sam arrived, they came fully prepared and completed the project in just one day. The entire experience was flawless—no hidden charges, no changes in pricing or materials.
