Reviews of local pros in Brewster, Massachusetts

BSJ was fantastic. Brett and the team did a wonderful job of trimming down and cutting back my two large hedges of 60' Leyland Cyrus trees with their hydraulic spider lift. Highly recommend them.

Brett and his team were hired to take down a Very tall, Very large beech tree which had become diseased and no longer leafing. Many large branches hanging over neighbor’s fence were brought down with no damage to fence. Very professional from first cut to cleanup. Definitely would recommend BSJ Tree Service!

BSJ Tree Service was truly a fantastic experience. Brett and his team are true professionals. They arrived on the day they said they would and completed the job in a timely manner. We kept adding to the original job spec and never did they object. Brett's team is polite, courteous and a welcome to work with. We would absolutely use them again.

Right from the start Brett was fantastic. As soon as I reached out he came and provided an estimate. He was professional and his price was great. Communication following the estimate was exceptional. Brett and his guys showed up to do the work as scheduled, they did a great job and thoroughly cleaned the entire area before they left. I can’t recommend BSJ Tree Service highly enough and will definitely ask them to return for any future work we need done on our property.

For the last five years, we have called Brett Johnson Tree Service for trimming, cutting of large problematic trees and clean up. We live in a heavily wooded area in Harwich. Mr. Johnson is very professional, trustworthy, reliable, and very fairly priced. He arrives on a timely basis and employs a talented crew. He always cleans the area thoroughly after his work. Without reservation, I highly recommend Brett Johnson Tree Service for any needed tree service.

I’m so happy we found BSJ Tree Service!!! The quoting process was quick and professional. I found the price very reasonable. The actual work was fast and efficient and they did a great job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

We had an excellent experience with BSJ Tree Service and cannot recommend them highly enough. They removed a large tree from an extremely challenging location directly over our house and driveway, a job that required real expertise and precision. From start to finish, their attention to detail and care for our property were exceptional.

When the work was complete, there was absolutely no trace the tree had ever been there—no tracks, no sawdust, and no damage of any kind. They even took the time to carefully move and then replace the stones lining our driveway so everything was left exactly as it was before.

The entire crew was friendly, professional, and efficient, and it was clear they work with a strong ecological conscience and deep respect for the surrounding landscape. We felt completely confident trusting them with such a delicate job near our home. BSJ Tree Service truly delivers top-tier work and outstanding service.

We have been a customer of BSJ Tree Service for the past five years. Brett is very knowledgeable and loves his work! He is consistent, reliable, and listens to your needs and concerns. He will walk through your options with you depending on what type of tree project you’re looking to get done. He has the expertise to identify which trees are not healthy or at risk of falling and recommend what should be removed. He always cleans up everything after the job is finished and checks in with you afterwards to ensure you’re satisfied with the work. I couldn’t leave a better recommendation!

We had a tree that was twisted up in the tornado of 2019. I had gotten a few crazy quotes and then found Mackenzie Tree Service on Google. Geoff was awesome! The tree came out AMAZING and the price was right. I would use them again and highly recommend this business.

I've known Geoff for 4.5 years. He's got a great work ethic and always goes above and beyond to ensure his customers are completely satisfied, every time. If (on the off-chance) it's outside his expertise - he will refer you to someone who's the best at what they do - for a reasonable price! Geoff and his crew are consumate professionals that I highly recommend!

Geoff came to survey the work to be done. He was very professional and very easy to talk to. I am very pleased that I chose Mackenzie tree to do the work. The best service I could have asked for. I would recommend this tree company to everyone.

They topped off 10 trees for us yesterday and did an excellent, professional job. Courteous crew, on time, true to their word. Thorough clean up, too. We're very pleased.

Geoff and Bob did a great job in removing 5 trees and on one tree removed the stump. They took real care in cleaning up when finished and can't say enough about there professionalism. I called them and got a response the same day. Geoff came out and quoted the job, I accepted the proposal, he said in two weeks and it was done. Highly recommend Mackenzie Tree Service with a five start rating. Jeff Morse Dennisport, Ma.

Geoff and his team were awesome! They removed 2 trees from my property and grinded the stumps. I am very happy with the end result and would highly recommend them! Not only were they on time and extremely professional and friendly but they beat out 5 other local estimates that I had received.

Geoff Mackenzie and his tree service did exactly what he said he would, did it timely, and thoroughly cleaned-up afterwards. The tree removal and stump grinding price was fair. Unlike many home services contractors, Geoff did what he said that he was going to do and he did it well. I strongly recommend Mackenzie Tree Service!

Professional, Courteous, Prompt, and Affordable, our yard looks amazing !!
We have already given out their card and referred 2 other jobs to them same day.

I was very happy with the service I received from MacKenzie. The owner Geoff was easy to work with and got it when I told him what I needed and wanted. Geoff brought his team out before the job, so they would fully understand what I wanted done. Bob and Mark did an excellent job and cleaned up so good, that if I didn’t see the trees they had worked on, I would never have known they were on my property. Amazed and very happy!! Thank you MTS!

Geoff is in his own league when it comes to Trees. I contacted 12, yes 12, other professionals to take on my yard starting with removing scrub pine. He responded to my inquiry within the day, looked it over, gave me an estimate and had the trees down in less than a week. His estimate was on target. He knows his business. When the work was done, everything was cleaned up and hauled away. Responsive, Punctual, Reliable, Respectful. And yes, an "all around cool dude".

Geoff and his crew removed nearly 70 trees from my property and was focused on making sure we were completely satisfied before he left on his last day. Very competitive price as well. Highly recommended.

My neighbor was having some tree work done and I spoke to the owner, Geoff Mackenzie and asked him what he would charge to trim a particular branch on one of my trees close to the neighbor’s property. He said that since he was there, he could do it immediately and he did!
They were fast, friendly, efficient and left the area in pristine condition.
I was extremely pleased.

Geoff came out in a timely fashion and gave us a very fair price to remove 2 trees, many dead branches on another tree and take down overgrown forsythia bushes. The entire crew was courteous, professional and did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have tree work done.
