I was quoted $250-$300 by Lee Pest Control on the phone to have someone come spray for centipedes. Company showed up a couple hours late; almost 8pm at night. Then proceeded to tell my 23 year old son (I was not home at the time) that they needed to fumigate the house at $600 per level (basement plus two other levels) due to mold on the window sills, which would have been $1800!! The mold comment didn't even make sense. I got on the phone with them and told them 'thank you for their time', but I am going to get a second opinion, so there would be no services performed tonight. They then tried to pressure me by dropping the price to $500 per level. I said no again. They were then not leaving the property and making my son very uncomfortable. They then told me they could maybe do a further discount, and they were simply not listening to me telling them that I wanted a second opinion and that they needed to leave my property now. They did not. So, I told them to leave the property now or I would call the police. That made them decide to leave. I called Terminix the next day and they came out and sprayed on the outside for $300 (and actually told us that we probably don't even need to spray at all because centipedes are a 'one and done' kind of insect invasion). They said specifically that fumigating the house for centipedes is the WRONG thing to do and totally not necessary, so Terminix treated the outside and we haven't had any more centipedes. Go Terminix!! Stay away from Lee...sketchy business practices from what I've seen.
