Reviews of local pros in Dudley, Massachusetts

Before our deck was a peeling mess. After we have a gorgeous front entry, lovely private porch, and fully resurfaced back deck. The team was great to work with every day of the project. Highly recommend Jesse and his team!

Jessie and everyone at Solid Contracting was a pleasure to work with. Their work was done quickly and beautifully. I couldn’t be happier with my new deck. They were professional and communicated every detail with me. I look forward to using them in my home improvement projects in the future.

I hired Solid Contracting to redo my old worn out deck. From start to finish it was a great experience! Jesse was prompt, courteous, honest and the quality of his work was just amazing. His partner Garret was also a pleasure to have working on my prodject. They are both great guys, that do great work, and aim to give you the results you want. Definatly i wouldnt hesitate to recommend them, hard to find good people like them .Give them a call, you wont be dissapointed!

In the early spring of 2022 I began collecting estimates for a new deck and an interior bathroom refresh. I did have a general idea of what my project should cost. If five contractors came to my home, three got back to me. With each one I referenced projects my husband had done and purposely dressed down. Off the bat, I felt that Jesse from Solid Contracting was the only one who took me seriously not only as a decision maker but as a paying customer. Not once through the initial estimate process was I dismissed or made to feel my questions were not relevant.

From the day they arrived until the day they left, Jesse and team were professional and extremely meticulous. I recall one conversation where Jesse pointed out something on the deck to me that was crooked. Personally, I do not notice these types of things but he does. He explained how the next day he planned on taking that section down and redoing it. This was in order to give me the heads up that it might look like there would be no progress within those two days. This is when I realized that he was not going to rush through my job to get to his next one!

When it came time to my bathroom, I watched him stare at each line of tiles that went up in the shower to make sure that they were 100% straight. This again speaks to the meticulousness and pride he takes on with every job.

Fast-forward to the beginning of 2023. I once again reached out to Solid Contracting. This time I was looking for storage options in my garage. We talked about building a loft, that turned into this amazing hanging system. The amount of compliments from friends in awe of my garage storage is absolutely remarkable. This was Jesse’s idea.

From there, I decided to finally finish my basement. It was something I’ve wanted to do for a few years. My son wanted skateboard mini ramp. I didn’t think this was even possible. Turns out that Jesse can build those also!

It took the entire winter but Solid Contracting not only completed my basement they added a full bathroom as well. My statements regarding professionalism, respect, and meticulousness from the prior summer, remain. With this larger project, additional professionals needed to be brought in. There was one plumbing team I was not comfortable with. He completely understood and brought in someone else.

I am the type of person who would rather something done correctly than quickly. I know with contractors, sometimes things are rushed, and short cuts are taken. That is not the case here. I really cannot say enough good things about Jesse and his team at Solid Contracting, except that I look forward to my next project with them!

Solid Contracting replaced all the windows in my house and the sliding doors. Jesse gave us many options to choose from and carefully explained the pros and cons of each. When the doors and windows arrived he got right to work and had the job promptly done. He tried not to make a mess and cleaned the job site everyday. We are very pleased with the installation and the value which it has added to our home. I highly recommend Jesse and Solid Contracting for your project.

We hired this company after speaking with numerous contractors regarding our master bathroom and basement remodel. The owner and his crew were honest, professional and most of all they made my wife and I feel extremely comfortable knowing that we picked the right contractor for the job. Jesse was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, reliable and his craftsmanship throughout the entire process was impeccable! He was even gracious enough to fix an issue we had in another bathroom issue that prevented us from having a catastrophic issue. Solid Contracting will always be our go-to with any future home upgrades/remodeling we plan on doing!

Solid Contracting LLC turned the kitchen of our dreams into reality! They were so easy to work with and they produced such an exceptional finished product! We moved into our home a few years ago and knew when buying that the kitchen was going to be a large investment and we wanted to take our time to plan for it. When the time came to replace it we knew we wanted specific things to be done and after getting numerous quotes Solid Contracting LLC set themselves apart in multiple aspects. Jesse and his team were professional, easy to work with and most importantly their craftsmanship was second to none. Their attention to detail was evident everyday as when I came home I would be fascinated by everything that was accomplished day after day. They also took the time to recommend things that would accentuate certain parts of the kitchen that would make certain parts as focal points that really pop. Everything went so well with the kitchen we decided to do additional work to our half bathroom and laundry room as well. I couldn’t recommend Solid Contracting LLC and his team any more and will be publicizing to everyone needing a project accomplished big or small! Their professionalism, craftsmanship and attention to detail along with stellar customer service will always stand out to me as why they are the go to contractors when searching for the best your next project!

We are very pleased with the deck remodel and reconstruction performed by Solid Contracting. Jesse and Garrett encountered an old deck that was in sorry shape. There were quite a few unpleasant surprises regarding that deck’s earlier construction. Throughout the project they exhibited professionalism and expertise to solve any problem that arose. What really stood out to us was their flexibility and work ethic. The new deck exceeds our expectations. Their attention to detail was amazing from the “picture framing” of the deck boards to the miter cuts on the trim. Workmanship and materials were first rate. We would highly recommend Solid Contracting for similar projects and we intend to use them again in our future plans.

Jesse did a fantastic job at our house and I can’t recommend him enough. We needed to knock down a load bearing wall and install a recessed LVL to open up our living room. The price was fair and he was able to work us into the schedule quickly. It was started, completed, cleaned up, and permit closed in only a few days. Jesse will be my first call for our next project!

Needed a quick roof repair and Doktor Construction was quick and very reasonable. Refer him to everyone I know!

Highly recommend Doktor Construction! Professional quality work by a business who cares about what they are doing! You won’t be disappointed!

Nice guy, hired him to do a standing seam roof on a front porch. Roof came out amazing, prices were fair. Highly recommend.

I had new roof installed in Leicester March 2020, the whole process was exceptionally great! YOYO was the most professional, informative and pleasant person to deal with throughout the process. Kept us in the loop every step of the way. The excellent customer service, great work performed and fair pricing makes this the best company around. Also kudos to the hard working men that showed up bright and early, dealt with more than they anticipated for and still managed to get the job done by the end of the day and leaving everything so clean! Thank you Doktor roofing for an excellent job done!

We had our shingle roof and gutters replaced by Peter. His prices were the best out of the estimates we got, and the process was very quick. I highly recommend Doktor Construction!

10/10 Awesome Company. Price was very fair. My wife and I needed a roof company asap, Peter and his team were very responsive and came out as soon as they could. They did a great job and we would highly recommend.

Thank you!

Needed electricity to be discontinued from a barn we had on property to be torn down soon. Russell came over the day I called. Very professional. I would use again!

I'm so glad I found Russ Poulin on a google search! Though my item was a small job he was responsive to my need and fit me right into to his schedule. He showed up on time and provided quality work at a fair price!!! Russ is officially my go to electrical guy !! I will refer him to all my friends and family and IF YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL NEED LOOK NO FURTHER!!!

I found Mr. Poulin online doing a Google search. I called and he was able to fit me into his calendar that day. He came and immediately knew what the issue was and the repair was completed quickly. His pricing was fair and he was very professional. His contact information has made it into my contacts list. If I need any electrical repair again, I won't hesitate to call him.

We lost power in one of our apartment buildings in the cold season, and Russell came on very short notice to help! He was expert and fixed the problem with ease. He is very professional, knowledgable, and reasonable. I would highly recommend Russell!

Russell and assistant were very prompt, courteous, and efficient. No shortcuts…they corrected some shortcomings of previously installed wiring instead of connecting to shoddy work. I was charged a very fair price for quality work.
