What locals say about HVAC and Tree in East Freetown

Initially had Cornerstone HVAC come due to loss of hot water and heat. The owner, Shayne, came and looked at my system, (Naviien) heat/radiant heat and hot water. Fortunately he and was familiar with this system and that is somewhat unusual for knowledge of Navien systems. Shayne was knowledgeable and was able to diagnose what needed to be done. Shayne had to interface with the manufacturer confirm his diagnosis and order parts directly. Very professional, prompt, explanation given as to work to be done and appreciated being asked to see work completed before Shayne and his apprentice left. And they cleaned up after themselves! Bonus! Today Shayne came to prep the granite countertop which needed some modification to the holes that would receive the hot and cold spigots. Once the countertop was properly prepared, Robert came to install the sink fixture. Once again professional, prompt, explanation given as to work to be done and appreciated being asked to review work that was completed before Robert left. And Robert cleaned up after himself! Again, a definite bonus! Being sent an invoice due to being a repeat customer. Would (and have) highly recommend Cornerstone HVAC

Being in the service industry myself for over 50 years communication with your client is job one in my book, these guys understand that perfectly. Nice to see the next generation carrying on that type bussiness model, rare these days.

Shayne installed a new boiler and water tank this week. Very professional and superior workmanship. Would highly recommend this company. 5 star +!
-
After replacing my boiler and indirect water heater and having to come back several times to make sure everything was running correctly, all I can say is Shayne was SO professional, did an amazing job and I would hire him again in a second.
-
Shayne was really quick with showing up after business hours to fix my heating and communicated my problem really well. Highly recommend him.
-
Shayne was a very work oriented young man. He was on time and did great work. I will contact him for more jobs. I was disappointed as I did contact him for more jobs and was basically blown off. However the job I did get him originally for was done well.

Shayne and his team completed several plumbing and renovation projects on my home. My hardwood floor was installed beautifully and efficiently and my gas range was recently converted from electric cook top. Highly reccomended for plumbing, heating/cooling and renovations, thank you Cornerstone!

Frequently asked questions
-
Is GigoPro free to use?
Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing providers is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.
-
How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?
Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, active, and matches the category it claims. For regulated trades, we look for proper credentials, and inactive listings are hidden automatically.
-
How do I choose the right contractor?
Start with ratings and recent reviews, then compare the services offered, location, and response time. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes — not just the bottom line.
-
Can I list my business on GigoPro?
Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update your services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.
-
How often is the HVAC directory updated?
Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. This page, for example, is reviewed and updated monthly.
-
How often should I have my air system serviced?
At minimum, once a year — ideally a spring tune-up before cooling season and a fall check-up before heating season. Systems that run year-round, older units, and commercial systems often benefit from professional service twice a year.
-
Repair or replacement — how do I decide?
Ask each contractor for both a repair quote and an honest assessment of the unit's remaining life. As a general rule, if a repair costs more than a third of a new system, or your equipment is past its expected lifespan and breaking down repeatedly, replacement is usually the better value. Get two or three opinions before a decision this large.
-
Can companies on GigoPro handle emergencies?
Yes — many list emergency and same-day service in their profiles, with stated after-hours policies. Open the profile and check the response-time and availability information before you need it; in a real emergency, filter for companies that explicitly offer 24/7 service.
-
How much does service cost?
Costs vary by region, system type, and job — there is no honest single number. Reputable contractors provide written estimates after inspecting the system, and comparing two or three is the best way to understand what your job should cost.
-
Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?
Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the company and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs are exactly what helps the next homeowners in your city choose well — and what keeps listed professionals at their best.
