Used Charista Construction for an installation of an attic access ladder/panel and removal of a whole house intercom system and was very happy with the quality of the work. Will definitely use again.

Charista Construction absolutely transformed our new house from the site of 40 years of deferred maintenance into our forever family home! The house feels like ours now, with signs of the former condition of the home removed, and our personality added. We get so many compliments on the unusual install pattern of the backsplash tile in the kitchen! Their team installed it exactly how we envisioned it!

Their estimating of our job was spot-on. We only had one change order for an unforeseen condition, and that was to pave a small portion of the driveway that unexpectedly fell apart. All of the other change orders we add-ons that we requested. The bank that we worked with and the mortgage product that we used were so difficult. Joe filled out all of their extensive paperwork and followed all of their procedures to make our project happen. I doubt that most contractors would have done that. If it weren’t for Joe, it’s likely that our project might not have ever happened.

Given that the scope of the project was several hundred thousand dollars, there were surprisingly few hiccups along the way. Joe handled any issues professionally, without complaint, and fixed every issue correctly at no additional charge. Joe and his team worked diligently to minimize the unavoidable renovation hassles, such as having no way to cook food during a kitchen remodel. I was happily surprised that our entire kitchen renovation was complete in just 4 weeks! During our bathroom remodel, we were only without a shower for two days! They really went above and beyond to make the entire process as comfortable as possible for us.

Each member of their team excels in their areas of specialty, and it really shows in the finished product. I absolutely love every room in our house now! Everyone on the team, including subcontractors, was polite and friendly, and I felt completely comfortable having them in my home. Going into this project, we already knew several of the items we wanted to use in the renovation. For the other items, Joe was incredibly helpful in providing options and explaining things that we didn’t understand or weren’t familiar with. I LOVE the triple-pane windows they were able to get for us! Joe's recommendation to not install a cabinet valence over the kitchen sink was definitely the right decision. The kitchen looks so good without it!

The only negative about the project is that we didn’t have more money to upgrade everything in the house. We will only use Charista Construction for any future projects in our home!

We used Charista to renovate our bathroom recently. The were awesome! Our daughter says she feels like she's in a bathroom in a fancy hotel now! They were affordable and very professional and the best part was they were here when they said they would be!

I have never had contractors that I trusted so fully. Joe and his team are responsive, kind, professional, and thorough. We will absolutely be working with them again in the future!

We used Charista to finish up a few different projects in our house and they did a phenomenal job. The owner went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. The guys doing the work were professional, worked efficiently and the place was spotless when they were done. Beautiful work at a very reasonable price. If you need any work done in your house, you should check them out.

Joe and his crew are fantastic. They did a lot of work at my daughters house. Siding,doors,windows,gutters. Very polite and respectful. Always on time. Quality is great. Has since done more work inside. Joe is very responsive and stops by many times to check on things. I would not even get an estimate from anyone else.

This company stated they would help my family after the 2011 tornado. However, they only hid issues like painting over problems. We're still struggling to fix our damaged home, partly because we made the mistake of trusting them.
It would be best to choose a company with many positive reviews and visible proof of their work. This way, you can determine if they're trustworthy. They took advantage of our desperation after the unexpected tornado. I deeply hope that they've improved and kept their promises to new customers and replaced the rude and mean workers that they've had in this past.

Joe and his crew were 100% they were the best I've ever seen, the work was done in a timely manner and did a fantastic job they remodeled my whole bathroom to be handicapped accessible and installed a walk-in shower, new sink, countertop, toilet, everything from floor to ceiling and I couldn't be happier, the work was second to none this company is the best!!

Charista does good work, but you’ll pay up to two times more than other contractors. And the head guy Joe is not so nice - thinking about $ all the time. If something happens on a project that he doesn’t like (and not my fault), he carries grudges for years. Beware. He makes it so other contractors like electricians won’t work with you. Tells them if they want to do more work at Charista, they can’t work with you. And Charista is not a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Unsavory.
