Ed is the most thorough inspector I and my real estate agent have ever worked with. He goes through every little thing verbally and gives you a ridiculously detailed report following the inspection. And it's not just things he found wrong, it's different upgrades you should think for the future to will help you and the assessment of the house.

Ed was very thorough and walked us through every part of the inspection. His notes were very detailed and the report he produced had many pictures as well as a great summary at the end prioritizing issues in order of urgency, which was very helpful. He showed up early and obviously likes what he does. I'd certainly recommend him.

I would certainly recommend Ed for anyone's home inspection. He was very thorough and gave us some good recommendations on how to address some issues that came up. The report was also very informative and he delivered it a day or two after the inspection which was great.

Mr Wagner is extremely knowledgeable and thorough in his inspections. He spent several hours walking me through the process as he did his inspection, informing me of his findings along the way and explaining everything in great detail. When all was said and done I was left feeling much more informed on the intricacies of the home inspection process. Extremely pleasant experience. Emailed with mold questions and asked for a quote. Within less than 24 hours Ed responded and kindly asked if we could talk on the phone about the issues. He called me that day and gave me a small lesson (much appreciated) about everything relevant to my issues. I learned a lot from him, and now I feel better armed with information. He offered some advice, then at the end let me know his quotes after offering the free advice. Highly recommend, and if I can use him in the future I won’t hesitate to.

We were looking to purchase a house in 2012, we had heard about Wagner inspections through our relater, as well as the first time homebuyers class. From the first call, Ed Wagner was very professional, came out at a time that was compatible with our schedules. He is very knowledgeable in the field, even showed us some some major issues with the house that were either fixable or far beyond budget repair. At the end of the inspection process, he had a well detailed report, with pictures! that he had taken as he walked through the property. Ed was very thorough with his inspection. He took his time to make sure he covered everything for us and explained what he was seeing clearly and concisely. We showed up for our 9 AM appointment and he was already there with his ladder against the house. He went over all the services he provided and associated costs before we began the inspection, so there were no surprises at the end. Report was delivered to us 2 days later as promised. Fair pricing and great value. We will use his services again in a heartbeat next time we purchase a home!

Ed was recommended to me by a builder after I had called a few other inspectors to find that they were either unavailable or super expensive. Ed answered when I called and gave me a super reasonable and affordable quote right on the phone. I was in a time crunch and although it was on short notice, he got out to do my inspection and did an awesome job! He was very friendly and very knowledgeable about construction of the house, what was good, what was bad, and the potential issues there could be in the future. Although he was very professional it was clear that I was not working with a large corporate company and that I was not just another work order. Ed took the time to make sure he did a good job and write a very in depth, descriptive inspection report. He also took some great photos.

Ed performed a prompt inspection and mold test for our house. We received lab results within a week. I found Ed to be straight forward, clear, responsive and knowledgeable. Ed has an excellent level of enthusiasm about his work, I would recommend him highly.

Wow! To say that Ed is good at his job is an understatement! Not only was he very professional, arriving early and getting right to work, but he kept us in the loop of what he was looking at. He didn't seem to mind the entourage I brought with me and he was happy to answer any questions we had while pointing out what might be potential problems and suggesting ways it could be fixed, but always suggesting use of a professional qualified to make those changes. The report that we got back was detailed, accompanied with photos, and well organized by areas, type of system and the information and suggestions for repairs or maintenance in the future. He was also a generally nice man, sharing fun stories of his own and just creating a nice atmosphere during what can be a scary and nerve-wracking time for new home buyers!

He recently inspected a home I planned to purchase in western Mass. Throughout the entire process, from our initial phone conversation, the onsite inspection, to his follow-up outreach after receipt of the thorough home inspection report, Ed strived to ensure that I felt secure that he held my best interests as his highest priority. Ed is an educator at heart. He teaches homebuying workshops for first time homebuyers in the area, and this propensity to inform shines through during his inspections. He explained every aspect of the inspection to me in detail, regularly asking if I had questions or needed clarification. He not only explains the what, but the why and the how when examining the home. He takes pictures of all high-level inspection findings to include in the report and he categorizes findings by “note,” “repair,’ “upgrade,” “maintenance,” “aged.” The points of concern he highlighted during the inspection significantly influenced the final home purchase decision. If the next home I purchase is within Ed’s geographic range, he will be the first person I call when I need home inspection services again!
