Freedom Air Mechanical Contractors replaced a 2.5-ton HVAC system at our house which included the replacement of the air handler and condensing unit. The installation crew was very careful when removing the old air handler and installed the new one. The crew was courteous, and clean, and conducted themselves professionally. The job was completed on time, on budget, Freedom Air’s pricing was competitive. Overall, I was beyond satisfied with the installation and how Freedom Air conducted itself from pricing through completion.

Around 5pm on a Wednesday our heater stopped working. Not great given our new baby. I contacted TJ and he responded immediately and started troubleshooting via text even before his guys got here. They diagnosed the issue which was a crack in the heat exchange likely caused by shoddy workmanship by the previous installer causing the system to overwork and fail. They lent us their space heater to make sure we were comfortable and got a new system installed the correct way. Everyone worked late to figure out the problem and identify a solution—all at a reasonable price. Everyone was kind, hard working, and gave it their all to make sure we had heating for our little one. Can’t imagine going with any other hvac specialist going forward. I’ll be recommending them to friends and family. 10/10

Our A/C unexpectedly stopped working during this random heatwave & someone recommended Freedom. I called in the morning & they said they could get someone out later that same day, which was music to my ears. They came, diagnosed the issue, replaced a part, & now it’s back up and running. Couldn’t be more pleased that they were able to address it ASAP & we didn’t have to wait days to get it resolved. Price seemed very reasonable - we were expecting to have to shell out much more to get it fixed. Keeping their contact info handy for the future & I definitely recommend them.

Freedom air did an outstanding job installing our home with central air conditioning as well as HVAC duct & vent installation. They provided great service as well as friendly and enjoyable customer service. They were quick and efficient and respectful of the work space upon leaving. TJ was very knowledgeable and personable which was an additional plus to choosing them to do the work. We highly recommend.

TJ and Freedom Air Mechanical did an amazing job installing a central air system on our 2nd floor, as well as installing two mini-ducted splits on our first floor. His team was extremely polite, clean, and worked really hard to ensure that the install went as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering replacing their HVAC or getting a new system install as their pricing is more than fair and their work is awesome.

TJ and team replaced and installed a new Bosch furnace and heat pump for my house after they were recommended to me by a neighbor. They were knowledgeable, polite, and highly efficient. They took care of various issues that came up during the installation, e.g. putting in a new electric panel to replace an old one that didn’t have enough breakers for the heat pump. The system now works great. Highly recommend!

I made an appointment with Freedom Air to come to my home and give me a quote for heat pump installation. I took a day off work and they no call, no showed to the appointment. I left phone messages and text messages and have received no response. Very unprofessional and do not recommend.

Pros: Very good response time. Friendly.

Cons: Charged me $480 to replace a $10 capacitor in 15 minutes. When I joked about it being a premium price because of a rush job, the response was “this is normal pricing”. My neighbors failed the day after and he changed it himself with a 5 minute YouTube video and $10 for the capacitor. Let’s say you don’t want to change it yourself… other HVAC companies charge between $150-$300; I know this because I’m on the board of my HOA and multiple units have failed since mine have and I’ve asked for invoices to compare. I could not even find one that charged close to them.

A little piece of business advice for MetaHVAC: you win big deals by being fair and reasonable on the quick wins. We will not be considering you for a building wide service contract any longer.

I had a great experience working with META HVAC. An overnight power surge fried the control board in my furnace (thanks Eversource!) and the META team promptly came out to diagnose the problem and get the heat restored over a cold holiday weekend.
