I contracted for an oven outlet to be attached to the wall behind my stove so that the stove could sit flush against the back wall. Doris in the office was polite and efficient. Paul, the electrician was pleasant and got the job done. My issue is with the pricing model. I was charged $247 to book the appointment, which was to cover travel and the first hour. I clocked the time at my home from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. When an additional charge of $102.50 appeared in my account, I inquired as to why. Doris explained they use GPS to calculate their charges. So, essentially, from the time the electrician is "dispatched" to the time they depart your premises, the meter is running, even though $247 was already paid. The way I see it, the $247 should have covered the travel and the hour of work, but clearly I was mistaken. So, I paid $349.50 for an hour service call.
