MASSAVE Contractor - Excellent service and recommendations for my new home. Eddie was on time (called ahead to say time he was coming ) and very courteous and personable. He explained in detail the services I would be eligible for including additional insulation in my attic, sill insulation in my basement , basement door insulation , bath vent corrections, and door weatherstripping. Eddie was very thorough and efficient and inspected the whole house inside and out. Highly recommend American Installations who works with MASSAVE,

They were amazing they were professional, they knew what a great thing they were doing for me and my kids. I pray it helps save me money on my gas bill because my heat was just going out my windows. Again, I’m just so grateful for them and for American installations in Mass save. I do wonder though about my Dryer vent I don’t think they replaced the whole thing it looks like they only did half of it, and they cut it in half and attached the newer part to the older part instead of just a whole new vent??? I would like a whole new vent because the part that they cut off was so full of lint that I can’t imagine the other older part that the newer part is connected to is just as bad.

Chris came to our home (during heavy snowfall!) and performed a home energy audit. He was professional, kind, thorough and explained everything clearly. He helped us schedule insulation work on our home for a date sooner than I expected. Representative Chris Woofenden was able to reschedule my home assessment for an earlier day then previous scheduled.
Chris communicated his approximate arrival time and indeed show up within the time stated.
Chris is very personable, professional, and completely knowledgeable about the products and services offered. Chris was aware at the beginning of the assessment process, I did not qualify for services they offered. Nonetheless, Chris continued to complete a full assessment of my home and offered me his findings.
I would highly recommend American Installation Company based solely on the professionalism of thier representatives.

Chris was very clear, efficient and helpful in his Mass Saves audit. Said what he knew clearly, and researched for help where he didn't.
We were lucky and they had an opening the next day to do the needed insulation. Worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves.

Outstanding Work by American Installations

American Installations out of Granby, MA did an absolutely fantastic job at my parents’ home in Amherst. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The quality of the work exceeded expectations, and the attention to detail really showed.

A huge shout-out to the crew—Anthony, Andrew, Chris, and Matt—who were all courteous, knowledgeable, and incredibly hardworking. They showed up on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and treated my parents’ home with care and respect. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it definitely shows in the final result.

If you’re looking for a reliable, skilled, and professional team, I highly recommend American Installations. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and would absolutely use them again.

American Installations was a great company to work with on our weatherization project. From assessment to the day the work was done, they have been easy to communicate with, caring, and careful in their work. It's not easy having a crew of people in your house drilling holes to blow insulation in the walls. They contained the mess well, they worked quickly, and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were happy with decisions being made. Fabulous experience all around. Highly recommend.

If you want a vent for fresh air in your house, these are the guys to do it!

Jokes aside, we went with American Installations for our insulation job because the price of the job was slightly cheaper than just buying material and DIYing it (including the MassSave promo). The savings weren’t huge. The big selling factor was that they know insulation and would be able to do it “right”.

As for why 2 stars: Our house is definitely warmer now. So, the insulation worked. There are 2 big buts. The sales guy was quite pushy for us to refer other potential customers. They went so far as to put a sheet of paper in front of us before he had even started the MassSave inspection so that we could write down “at least 10” names & phone numbers. Really rubbed us the wrong way right off the bat.

The biggest issue is seeing that they completely messed up my dryer vent, which really makes me lose confidence in the quality of the rest of the job. They definitely rushed it. And now we get to pay for it 🤡.

Probably better off to do it yourself or call someone else..

It’s hard to say how effective the insulation will be only 24 hours after completion but we are so grateful to have an attic full of clean insulation in our very old and drafty house. I’m also looking forward to less dirt moving in and out of the house from the basement floor now that it’s been covered in plastic. The 4 MassSave Contractors on the team were a pleasure to work with and very respectful.

Marcus Scott did an excellent job with my home energy assessment. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He walked through the entire house and pointed out areas where we were losing energy and gave practical recommendations on how to improve efficiency. I appreciated that he didn’t rush the process and answered all of my questions.

The assessment was very thorough, and I left with a much better understanding of how to make my home more energy efficient and potentially lower my utility bills. If you’re thinking about getting a home energy assessment, I definitely recommend Marcus Scott.

All workers were very personable. Crew chief answered my questions politely. Outdoor clean up was spotty but did good inside. Mudding was missed (caused by removal of tape) and spray foam was skimped on, see photos. Printout of signed documents should've been provided and or emailed. Overall great job, I'd use them again for my next project.

Mass Save Contractors were very professional. They were great at cleaning up after themselves. Although they were unable to installed insulation in the attic due to the fact that there was vermiculite up there. They were able to give us directions on how to move forward. They did insulate the exterior walls from the inside and air sealed the basement. We would definitely request Zach and his team to come back for the attic insulation once the vermiculite is removed.

I have to say that the five star reviews are real! This company along with the other companies that completed our project have been nothing but prompt, efficient, friendly with top quality work. Our new ducted heat pump with a split in the basement works beautifully. It produces a very even heat without the fluctuating temperatures that you normally get with a typical heating system. As I write this review it is 2 degrees outside and my house is very comfortable. This was a great experience. The crews arrive on time and proceed to explain everything that is going to be done along with answering all your questions. They are very professional, they know their stuff. Before they leave at the end of the workday, they clean up everything to the way it was before they arrived. It would be a mistake to go with any other Mass Save contractor. These people are the best. Call them to get your project started, you’ll be glad you did!
