Tree reviews in Halifax, Massachusetts

Newcomb Tree Service just left my property, and I am thrilled with the results. They took down 5 trees and trimmed several others. They were on time and incredibly fast--just 2 hours! So fast my project came in under estimate!!!! When does that happen? The crew were responsible, polite, and cleaned up once they were done. I would recommend Newcombs to anyone. 5 star experience.

Everything was great. From the estimate to final sweep up. We needed quite a few barren, very tall trees removed . Most of them in the back. Needed a big crane to go over the house. First 2 estimates didn't have big enough machinery. Definitely made the right choice hiring Newcomb.
They spent the day taking tree after tree. Rained on and off all day. They were amazing!
Office responded quickly when I had questions. It was a great investment, worth every penny. Not worried about any tree hitting the house now.
Thanks to all for the great service.

We've had issues finding a reliable and affordable tree service for years. So, it was a delight and pleasure to find Newcomb's and work with them. They came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate for the removal of one tree, the trimming of a damaged tree, the trimming and pruning of our 3 other trees and stump removal of several trees and shrubs. The crew was professional and very nice. They chatted with my husband and answered his questions. They perfectly felled the tree in our backyard which was in a tricky spot. The trimming helped our trees to be healthier and improve the look of our landscape. The crew was on time and did a marvelous clean-up of our yard once the services were done. Overall, Newcomb's was everything you want in a company; professional, responsive, affordable and customer friendly. We will be using their services again.

The guys removed two large pines that were in danger of falling on the house. Wow, are they professional! When finished, they meticulously cleaned the yard of all debris and left it even neater than it was. Thanks to all !!!

Ps - It was a really big peice of tree shredded, it was gone in
MINUTES

Great company! I had them remove several large trees in my yard, the price was much less than others and the work was done very quickly. I was worried about the price because they are a large company but it was actually lower than the smaller companies. Todd who handles the estimating for them is great to work with. Will definitely use them for all my tree work moving ahead.

Excellent work! Such attention to detail and the whole crew- all went above and beyond.
Everyone from this company is a pleasure to work wit Right from the start with the estimate! They worked with me on my need/want list! Super clean polite -they all
Work together what a team! Highly recommend !!

Prompt, professional, efficient, and reasonably priced!!
Highly recommend Newcomb's Tree Service for all tree cutting needs. We used them 12 years ago for removing very tall pines very close to our house. Today we used them to clear a lot of dead trees from the front roadside of our property. They arrived on time, made fast work of removing 8 trees, and did a superb clean up!! Great job guys!! Thank you.

I have hired Newcomb’s Tree Service on more than one occasion. Very professional crew and very neat. I am sure I will be hiring them again. It sounds like the last reviewer gave them a one star but it should be directed at the neighbor, not the company trying to do their job for the neighbor.

We needed trees removed that were a danger to our house. We had our estimate (the best of several) two business days later and were scheduled for the work within a month. Their crew was prompt and easy to deal with. They handled a question about whether some trees in the backyard were included generously, and when we asked to change a large tree in the front from trimmed to removed, the price change was fair. The trees were all close to something, whether the house, fence, shed, pool, and everything was hoisted out safely. They left the yard tidier than when they arrived. The log truck arrived a couple of days later and now we are all set. Would highly recommend and will call again if we need them.

About a year ago one of their trucks took down the powerline to my house causing damage to my property. I contacted the owner because their driver refused to stop, the owner shut me down and told me i coulndt get their insurance info because he will not let me make a claim. Fast forward to today I was able to put a claim because theres a reason for insurance but now my neighbor that was the witness is unable to make a statement due to medical conditions and they just send me a rejection letter. Im encouraging everyone that had a situation with this company to rush and place your claim no matter what his owner said he will try to intimidate you to get away with the claim. If anyone need their insurance info i will be glad to share.

Paul and his team did an amazing job removing several trees as well as trimming branches for us. The entire team is extremely hard working and great to deal with. The cleanup they did after the job was incredible - you'd never know they were here. Driveway and yard looked cleaner than before they arrived.

I highly recommend Newcomb's Tree Service for any tree work you need done.

I really can’t believe this place. I gave them a deposit for a job and they told me they would start in two weeks. Two weeks came and went, and I didn’t hear from them. After A couple of ignored phone calls. I finally reached them and they told me they would start the next week.
They never showed up and they stopped returning my calls. I am still not able to get in touch with them and they still have my deposit.

Be very careful before you do business with these idiots

I've used Newcomb's Tree Service for multiple removal and pruning jobs over the last ten years - there is nobody better for safe, professional tree service on the South Shore. Their crews work fast, and always leave the site cleaner than when they arrived. Dollar for dollar, Newcomb's has exceeded my expectations every time out.

We had a dangerous situation of several trees leaning towards the neighbors house and they took care of it very professionally. They did a great job and they cleaned it up quick. They even blew off my whole driveway with their blower. These were towering Pines they took away good job guys.

Shout out to Newcomb’s Tree Service for another fantastic job. Thank you for great service as always we appreciate you and your crew.

Where is the Sixth Star?? The crew finished up last part of the job today. It was a mix of OCT storm damage clean up and pre-emptive removal of two white oaks. The skill, efficiency, equipment, and personalities are all first rate. Thank you for making everything so smooth and easy from the estimate, to the scheduling, to the work and cleanup. Also, great coordination and oversight today-I think that was mostly managed by Mack the Pup!

2nd time around with Newcombs! Priced very well, helped without ask (chipped up broken branches from storm) and left the yard like they were never there! Great work and will hire them again!

The whole experience was great from the quoting with Todd thru the taking down of 24 Pine and Oak trees around 270 degrees around my home. Other than the trees being gone, I could not tell anything had happened that day. They left my property spotless. I would highly recommend these guys if you're looking for a quality tree-removal outfit.

We had 3 large trees removed and others trimmed of old branches. Outstanding work ethic of everyone, 4 professionals on our property. A very large crane used over our home and navigating wires on the street and running to the home. Respectful of close neighbors and their properties. Highly recommend, worth waiting the few weeks for work to be done. Thank you to all your staff. You got our business because you had a very pleasant person answer the phone when we first called, not an answering machine, and your estimate was very reasonable. The lead time for the work to be done was emailed to us a week ahead of time. Very organized. Thank you. Highly recommended.

A vey kind, helpful and trustworthy experience with Paul Newcomb and his team. They moved a 7500 pound shed over 200 feet with their impressive crane! Paul was a pleasure to work with, friendly, understanding and very knowledgeable which made my experience very very comfortable. Moving a building through the air isn’t easy and Paul did it, well, Easily! Thank you for a terrific experience!
