We hired a local electrician, who unfortunately overcharged and under-delivered over a year. We still had quite a few projects on our list. We then hired Dan at D.Reed Electric, Inc. and he renewed our faith in hiring contractors. He does a great job: he's knowledgeable, efficient, reliable, very neat, and he explains what needs to be done. He provided a written project report in the end. We retained him for his yearly inspection plan, and we will hire him again for future projects.

I needed to install 8 recessed lights in my living room and to also switch out the old light switches for a more updated look. Dan and his team did a fantastic job not only with the installs itself, but they also went above and beyond by helping to patch up the holes on the wall from the wiring and made sure to clean up/sweep any messes/dust periodically.

Dan was also very patient and accommodating even when he had to make an extra run to home depot to pick up additional hole saws since my ceiling is made of plaster which made it tougher to drill the holes. He didn't even charge me for any of these additional inconveniences and the final quote actually came out under than the original estimate since there were some items he didn't end up using and gave me a credit back for.

I will definitely be calling Dan up again if I ever need additional work done and if you're looking for an honest, reliable, and hard-working electrician, you won't regret working with Dan.

Dan was great to work with from our initial conversations through the completion of our project. He is honest, knowledgeable, and stands by his work. He was very tidy inside the house and goes the extra mile without being asked. We highly recommend Dan and will absolutely use him again.

We had a great experience with Dan. He installed recessed lighting in our new house and he was professional, neat and courteous, punctual to the minute and communicative. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything to you. We were so pleased with his work, we had him come back to replace all of our switches (including dimmers, smart switches/dimmers and complicated three and four ways) and outlets. We had almost 200 outlets and switches combined and he completed everything for us in a timely manner, even working 12 hour days to accomplish this. We have already referred him to others and will be bringing him back for some garage upgrades! 100% we would recommend Dan.

I reached out to Dan to initially get a suggestion on the upgrade of the electrical panel. He was quick to respond on a weekend to discuss further. He visited during the week to further assess what other items i needed with outdoor light installations. His suggestions were honest and did provide a good perspective on how to go about the project. Upon scheduling the electrical upgrade, him and his team were prompt arriving on the day scheduled, at the time agreed upon. They finished the upgrade in the stipulated time. The next project i had was outdoor light installations. Dan was able to accommodate within a week's time and efficiently wrapped up that project within a few hours. We are glad we reached out to Dan and do recommend him to prospective clients.

Reached out to D. Reed Electric to inquire on installing new recessed lighting in our 1930s-era home. Dan returned my voicemail within 15 minutes and explained his pricing upfront. He was able to do a preliminary walk-through the same day and was able to do full install 3 days later. Dan is very knowledgeable and I appreciate his willingness to explain the process in depth. I have enormous confidence in his abilities and the craftsmanship shows within our home. Dan will definitely be my go-to for any future work or electrical advice. Thanks again.

TLDR: Great electrician: knows his stuff, prompt, honest, and easy going. Overall a great experience. Full: Dan was quick when replying to my initial request, gave a competitive estimate (best of three that I had searched out), and arrived when expected. He did great work while talking us through options and answering our questions as he figured out the problem. (We had an outlet we thought wasn't working, but it turned out to be the hanging fixture itself that had stopped working.) He also did a great job installing a new outlet for us and confirming the corresponding switch worked correctly after he updated that. At the end he lowered the original estimate since it turned out we didn't need one of the expected supplies. Will definitely be having him install the new light fixture once we pick it out. Highly recommended.

Main 200A breaker broken on Sunday around noon time, a really old system. Dan was able to track down a replacement and have it replaced by 11am the next day, and checked and fixed some wiring along the way with no extra charge. Fast, efficient, and very professional, thanks again Dan.

My wife and I just recently purchased an outdoor spa and needed to have electrical wiring installed. After reaching out to multiple electricians with very little response, extremely long wait times, and outrageous pricing, we finally connected with Daniel Reed at D.Reed Electric, Inc. I reached out via telephone and after the first two rings, Dan answered. I told him about our project and within the next two days he came out to conduct a walk down. The walk down took about 15 to 20 minutes where he was very respectful and knowledgeable and told me that he would have a quote out to me later that day. Later that day, I received the quote and signed the contract electronically (very efficient). A few days later, he showed up on-site and finished the project in a timely manner. Dan did an excellent job installing the new dedicated 240 volt, 50 amp, and GFCI protected circuit from the main breaker box in my basement to the outdoor spa tub with an exterior emergency disconnect. I was shocked at how clean and organized he was. He will now be our dedicated electrician, and we can not wait for him to install our outdoor patio lighting and Generator Interlocking Kit. Highly recommended and exceptional work.

I saw a review for D Reed Electric that mentioned their quick response time and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did. Daniel responded to my inquiry within a couple of hours and let me know he’d be calling me later that morning to discuss my needs. We spoke that afternoon and Daniel came out to the house the following day to provide an estimate. Less than a week later, we have two motion detector lights. We hit a snag in the initial plan due to our insulation but Daniel quickly came up with a new plan and still managed to get everything he needed the same day and finish the project.
