Black Belt Landscaping has great pricing along with being professional, timely, and consistent. The guys zip right through my lawn and keep it tidy. Now I don’t have to organize my days off around the weather in order to cut the grass or worse, spend an entire weekend raking leaves. I can’t believe I didn’t look into professional lawn care sooner. They definitely deserve the 5 stars!

Alex from Black Belt Landscaping and his team did an amazing job! I had such a hard tome even finding a landscaper who had availability or would return my call, but Alex called me back immediately and set us up for an appointment. His team was professional, on time and did really good work. We moved into a new home that needed a lot of yard work and in just a few hours - they completely re-mulched our entire yard and pruned all bushes etc. It looks like a new yard! Highly recommend.

I’ve been a customer of Alex’s for a couple of years now and can’t say enough about him and his business. Alex responds to my messages in a timely manner. He schedules well and actually shows up when he says he will. My yard looks like a showplace afterwards and his crews are always friendly and polite. I don’t know if his costs are similar to other services- never considered looking elsewhere after the first time I engaged his services- but I feel like it’s worth every dollar! We have had Black Belt Landscaping come to our home regularly for yard cleans ups (spring and fall) and we could not be more pleased with their work. They are thorough, prompt, and affordable. They go above and beyond. When they were last here I had forgotten they were coming and had left several things out around the yard. They picked up chairs, toys, and rakes and neatly stacked them before doing an amazing yard clean up for us. Highly recommend!

Last year I was looking for a landscaping company because my lawn and all the green areas around my house were in a really bad condition. Black Belt Landscaping came into our rescue and in just a day they transformed the green areas of our home in a beautiful and revitalized landscaping with new mulch. They are 100% professional, beautiful high quality work, excellent customer service, quick responders and reasonable prices. Last year, when the heat wave was awful we didn’t have to call them to delay their service, they called us to let us know that there was no need for them to provide the service because the lawn was not in bad condition. This is evidence that they don’t take advantage of their customers, they care about us. 100% recommended, they are simply the best.

Trimming crew and mowing crew did a great job and are always willing to take care of situations that crop up occasionally. Great service!

I moved to the area in July and asked about a landscaping service. A neighbor mentioned Black Belt and I began using them. I have been very happy with the routine lawn service, Fall cleanup, and a special request to remove a couple Rhodies and replace them with holly bushes. One of the hollies blew over when we had very strong winds because it had not yet developed strong roots. I contacted Alex and he came the same day and re-planted it. Great service and friendly team!

Black belt Landscaping has been fantastic. I have been using them for at least 2-3 years for my weekly lawn care and maintenance and they have done a great job. They are quick, informative, and pat lots of attention to detail. I signed up for a monthly payment that includes spring and fall clean ups, and mulching. I highly recommend them!

My experience with Black Belt Landscaping was rough from the start. It took nearly six weeks from initial review of the work/my property to getting a finalized, revised quote after multiple attempts between calling, emailing, re-submitting their online form to get someone to contact me and getting on the books. I really needed this work done before first frost, and I had gotten the furthest in the "quote shopping" process with them and was more or less desperate, which was clearly my mistake.

They finally come to complete the work and, while I will say that they were incredibly kind and professional the two days they were on my property, the compliments mostly end there. The work that they did was sub-par and it seems that they were just looking to do a job, not a good job.

Issues that I noticed included debris from a cut tree left on the end of my neighbors property and not walked back into the woods where they were told they could dump, poorly compacted grass/dirt that was dumped at the rear of my property and not flattened down much at all so it's basically just a dirt pile in my back yard, old landscaping fabric that should have been pulled up in order to prepare a garden bed that was instead left in shreds all over the area with some still partially buried, stone dust that was haphazardly layered around in my garden in uneven depths when I had specifically requested and was quoted crushed stone (which I was told was "the same price" when it most certainly is not), and improperly installed garden beds that were not dug down into the dirt as requested which I was still expected to pay for the installation of despite the wind literally ripping three (of five) of them out of the ground. They also severely scraped up the black chain link fence I had around my garden.

I followed up with these concerns that were found around the property and was more or less told "that's what you get" and that the quote was for the work that they did, even when I pointed out that I was quoted for different materials that have significantly different costs. Any attempts to request revisions, or to come at least complete what I had paid for, was met with an outrageous quote which I took as them just wanting me to go away.

More specifically, I had asked them to install the crushed stone that I had originally requested so that the stone dust they did install wouldn't harden into an impermeable mud pit every time it rains (which they claimed wouldn't happen despite me watching it happen in real time), and I was quoted at an unbelievable $2200 and was told of their concerns about material availability late in the season. Oddly, I was quoted only $900 for this same work from another company who made no mention of material concerns. I had to remove the debris and dig the garden beds down by hand.

While I have no problem in doing this work myself... what did I pay them for? I wound up paying the full amount that they charged me given that they refused to budge about the work, refused to do any revisions without charging me even more money, and refused to look again at the quote. I wasn't quite interested in going to small claims over this..

I almost never write reviews, let alone bad reviews, but the existing reviews for this company led me to believe they would go above and beyond and that they take pride in their work. Maybe my landscaping project was small peanuts compared to the work that they usually do and wasn't worth the effort from their perspective, but at that point just say that you don't have enough time to fit me in the schedule. Don't take a large sum of money from me and then expect another 2,200 to correct something that should have been done in the first place OR at least should have been quoted correctly so that I could determine what landscaping work I could just drop from the quote to make the amount work.

All in all, very disappointed in the work they did, but I won't give just 1 star because they did SOMETHING.. but not much more than that.

Alex and his team are talented, professional, and an overall pleasure to deal with. Blackbelt Landscaping has done everything from doubling the size of my backyard (overgrown and small tree removal) to aeration and overseeding, mowing, and mulching. They have also assisted in snow removal during large storms. They are always professional and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

We have been so happy with Black Belt's prompt and thorough work and Alex's amazing communication. Whenever we've reached out to Alex he's been so responsive and always pleasant to work with, too. We love being able to recommend a local company. You won't be disappointed!

All of the people we have worked with at Blackbelt are amazing. There work is excellent as well as their knowledge of any questions we've ever had! They are so easy to have at the house and are even wonderful to our dogs!

Alex, and his team of landscapers were a great hire to do landscaping work at my home in Worcester! I am a new customer and asked to have much needed work done in my yard. I requested to have my forsythia bushes trimmed, mulch laid on all sides of my home, hedging done, and plant debris removed from my yard. Alex quoted me a fair price, and presented us a detailed description of all work to be done. The work was done exactly as promised, completed rather quickly, and the results were EXCELLENT! I have also, contracted Black Belt Landscaping to mow, trim, and hedge my lawn on a bi-weekly basis. The rate was EXCELLENT, the work is SUPERIOR, and their service has been RELIABLE! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Black Belt Landscaping for anyone in need of landscaping services!
