I just used them to repair an HVAC that had no heat. They were busy and took a few days but they repaired it! Most companies will try to make you replace it but they were honest. It was a small inexpensive part and boom! Heat is back on. Highly recommended.

We tried out McMahon based on all the positive reviews, but we did not have a good experience. They charged us a lot of money while failing to fix the problem.
The first bad sign was when I asked over the phone what the diagnostic fee would be and whether that fee would get rolled into the cost of the repair - a fairly standard practice. Their response was "the technician will explain that to you when they get there". I don't mind paying a diagnostic fee, but this is shady from the start. Why not just tell me what the fee is? I should have trusted my gut and turned back then, but we needed our hot water fixed, so I pressed on.
They didn't accurately diagnose the problem, charged us $1500 to do unnecessary work that has caused other plumbing issues, and the problem returned. When we called back to see if they would come fix it, they said "sorry, it's outside the 30-day window, so we'll have to charge you all over again". We are a working family with young children. 30 days goes by incredibly fast. And $1500 is a lot of money to flush down the drain. It's disappointing that they don't stand by their work. (Though frankly, I wouldn't either, if my work were so poor to begin with).
I don't intend any of this to be unkind, but I want to communicate with others (and the company) that we had a bad and costly experience with McMahon.
