Constraction reviews in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

I've used Simba for repairs to my condo in JP for years. Always responsive and great at coordinating repairs. Dmitrii performed a repair recently very well.

Pedro and Simba did an excellent job removing an interior wall to connect our living room and office. They were professional, respectful, and did clean work. They were also responsive to some touch up requests we had after the fact.

Bilal and team did a great job closing off our upstairs landing to create an office/gym.

The team worked quickly, and they were very communicative throughout the process.

Simba just completed a construction project for us. They were outstanding to work with. We have done three major renovation projects with three different contractors. Simba by far has been the best - from quality of work to project management to courtesy to communication to making sure the work was done to our satisfaction. Felix and Kenny are exceptional to work with. We highly recommend Simba!

Fast and reliable!

They did a great job. Neat and clean. Definitely would hire again

They do good work at a fair price. Kenny and the team are just genuinely good kind people. I would work with them again.

Strongly recommend. These professionals finished my complicated bathroom project on time and on budget! Very satisfied.

They did an excellent job on my kitchen remodel. I would not hesitate to use them again for any general contracting needs. Really an A+ job by Kenny and the team. Good people, good service.

Very professional, easy to get a quote from them and they followed up and were able to then perform the project in relatively short order, which I appreciated. Good communication and responsive, overall very pleased with all the work!

Kenny and the whole Simba crew were a pleasure to work with! They did our kitchen and two bathrooms, and did a beautiful job. Our house was a tricky one, and they rolled with every hiccup that came along. Recommend!

We hired the Simba team to do a gut reno on our first floor bathroom. We were a bit nervous taking on such a big project — it was our first renovation, and of course, we heard horror stories from friends and family about renos gone wrong. We feel very, very lucky to have hired Simba. They gave us an extremely fair quote for the project, went above and beyond in doing a high-quality job, were always happy to answer our questions, and amazingly came in right on budget. We will definitely be hiring them again.

Simba was great to work with. They did a bunch of work for three porches along the house. They completely replaced a set of stairs up to a side door, repaired structural components on a back porch, and replaced rotted out parts of our front porch. Throughout, they were easy to work with, communicative and careful. The finished project looked great. We would definitely hire them again for more work.

Kenny, Estuardo and the Simba team did excellent work on a difficult project in our home--removing a load bearing wall, installing lighting, renovating a pantry and bathroom. We are thrilled with their work and recommend them 100%!

Simba repaired water damage in our kitchen caused by a neighbor’s radiator. It involved a lot of plastering, and we were surprised that (because of zipped up plastic curtains) there was not a particle of dust and we were able to use our kitchen throughout the process. They matched an odd paint color exactly, they were neat and clean and considerate. We would be glad to hire them again.

It was a true pleasure to work with Kenny and his whole crew. We hired them for a number of jobs, big and small: renovating one bathroom, adding an entirely new bathroom, taking out a fireplace and putting in a closet, and adding tile in the kitchen. Kenny, Estuardo, and their whole team were professional, responsive, and really kind to boot. They came in at the (reasonable!) quoted price and the quality of work was top notch. They were excellent at listening to what we needed, and anytime an issue or hiccup came up, they handled it immediately. We've worked with other contractors and never experienced such easy, friendly, professional interactions. We were very impressed with their creative problem-solving skills and high quality of craftsmanship. Everything came out beautifully. Highly recommend!

I had several issues that needed addressing: a water leak from a shower, condensation in a sun tunnel leading to ceiling damage and radiant floor heating that needed repair. Simba was easy to contact, responsive, highly professional, courteous, careful and the finish work was impeccable. It was a pleasure to work with the team.

We have had a Simba crew paint rooms in our apartment on two occasions. Both times the men were thoughtful, really skilled and fun to have around. The paint jobs are fabulous, they cleaned up well and were super conscientious. We will definitely hire them again for more painting!

We are very satisfied with Simba Contracting. The job was completed on time, communication was excellent with updates and all questions addressed promptly. The team was very professional and the work was exactly what we requested.
We had a sunroom rubber roof and deck replaced outside and ceiling replaced inside. We highly recommend them and are planning to use them for future projects for our 1925 house in Roslindale.

Larry and Catherine Chafe

We needed help replacing one of the windows from the basement that cracked. We contacted Simba for an estimate and they came quickly to take measurements. After the new window arrived, they came back to install it. The team was professional, friendly and helpful in providing explanations when minor set backs occurred. Thanks Simba!

I am delighted to recommend Simba to you. This company far excelled for the quality of the work, the reasonable price, the sticking to the budget, and finishing precisely on time. There was always a full complement of workers on site each day. I was delighted to find that they were quiet, and there were no loud unnecessary noises.

It was a large project, involving extensive carpentry work on a large historic wood-frame Victorian house, involving restoration of the intricate railing of a large porch, as well as repair of the siding, soffits, fascia boards and intricate dormers on a high third floor. The carpenters were dedicated, professional, and experienced. The results were stunning.

When it came time to paint I was impressed that they scraped and power washed the entire house, doing this twice to ensure that the paint job would last. I’ve never seen any previous painter in my 30 years of living in this house take such care.

The painters and the carpenters showed up every day punctually. They were able to conclude the project precisely on time and precisely in budget. They were highly responsive and polite. They really cared about what they were doing, at every level. They take remarkable pride in their company, and want to do the best for the homeowner. They were so friendly and respectful to me as the homeowner. They were amazing! As a retired person, I was able to be at home and had the pleasure to interact with the workmen each day. I’ve never witnessed such care and attention to quality workmanship as I have over the last few months.

As an example of how responsive Simba can be, there was an unanticipated emergency, unrelated to the project. I contacted Simba. They got back to me within a few minutes, had men over within an hour to take care of the acute problem, and I had a complete repair done the following day. Can’t say enough good things about this company.
