Unprofessional and Unreliable—Save Yourself the Headache
I found this company on Thumbtack last fall and was hopeful after meeting the owner on a Saturday morning. He gave a great verbal estimate and even offered to clean up the area in front of my house and help with my walkway. He seemed accommodating and local, and gave me a card to pass along to my neighbor, since we’d be splitting the cost.
But after I called to accept the offer, I never heard back—no call, no text, nothing. Months passed. I reached out again in March and got a quick response saying he’d check his schedule. He even texted me the day he was supposed to show up—running late, then needing to reschedule. After that, he ghosted me.
I followed up again in April, still no response. When I finally told him it seemed like he didn’t want the job—probably because he quoted too low—there was silence.
Here’s my advice: Get the estimate in writing or steer clear. His word didn’t mean much, and the lack of follow-through speaks volumes about how this company operates. Extremely disappointing.
