Mike explained what needed to be done in order to repair our patio. The workmen did a fabulous job following Mike's instructions. It was done in the stated time & we were very pleased with the outcome!

Our front yard was bare and just had no character or curb appeal at all. Then Mike's Landscaping came in and all I do is look out the front window to see their beautiful work. Mike and his crew were amazing!

Mike's landscaping and General Contracting Co Inc made my property look gorgeous. My concrete patio was cracked and broken and not level with the rest of my yard. He came in and leveled the yard and built a beautiful retaining wall. He also installed a PVC fence. He rebuilt my patio with the most beautiful pavers. He excavated my driveway and installed a drainage system to resolve my water issues and paved my driveway. The men were very professional, the work was done in a timely manner. The quality of the work was far superior to anything I have seen from other contractors. And the price was very competive. I would highly recommend Mike' Landscaping and General Contracting in Malden Ma. If I could give this review 10 Stars I would. DJS

We recently moved to the area. I called at least 10 landscaping companies and left voicemails the week before Thanksgiving, trying to get someone out for yard cleanup. Mike's was the ONLY one who answered when I called. Kat promised to get back to me in the next day or so. She was upfront and told me she wasn't sure if they could get to me before the holiday, but would call me back either way. She got back to me within 48 hours with a quote saying they could fit me in and letting me know which day they would be there. The guys were quick and efficient and the yard looked great. When the other 9 companies got back to me days later asking if I still needed a quote and a cleanup, I said I was all set. We are going to be using Mike's from now on for all of our lawncare needs!

The staff at Mike’s has been especially attentive during our decision making regarding our project for our yard. They’ve been knowledgeable, informative and patient with our questions. Would recommend Mike’s Landscaping to anyone with small or large project!! We couldn’t be happier!!!

They did really great job today. My yard and all sides were a horrible overgrown mess to the point neighbors would just stop and stare as we were the only ones who didn't have our property kept up. The pricing was much better than I thought it would be. Mike's a good guy. Highly recommend.

Mike's Landscaping & General Contracting Co. did an outstanding job with my cleanup. My husband had a recent surgery and was unable to do any of the yard work. All our landscaping work was backed up and my yard was a complete mess. I called Mike for an estimate and he was out the very next day. I signed with him and a crew was out the following day. They were incredible. They finished in a single day and when they were done it looked like my yard had been maintained for months. They went over and above what was asked of them and really did a beautiful job. My neighbors all asked me what company did the work and I referred them all to Mike's Landscaping. So I just felt compelled to right a review letting everyone know that if they are looking for an efficient, honest and meticulous landscaper that Mike's Landscaping & General Contracting is the way to go. Thank you Mike!

My experience with Mike's Landscaping was excellent from start to finish. They were the only company I could get to even come out for an estimate for our backyard to remove asphalt, level the yard, plant grass and add fencing. The price was good, so we went ahead with the work. They kept us updated about when they would be coming. The employees were polite and hard workers. I can't believe how nice our backyard looks now. I'll definitely be calling them when we are ready to add a patio.

BEWARE! Do no give a deposit and sign contract without full disclosure. I can only speak from my experience. I gave a deposit of $1850 and after two months of no work completed and excuses I had to cancel and find someone else to do the work and it's almost May and my yard is a mess.

I requested a refund of the $1850 deposit which is standard. Mike’s response was irrational and combative. He said not only would I not get back the $1850 deposit back but I owed him an additional $1,000 cancellation fee. He expects $3850 for not even showing up and makes up an excessive and illegal cancellation fee. I’m a homeowner and not an commercial business/office. Most professional companies would gladly return the $1850 deposit and move on.

Mike is a smooth salesman upfront who turns aggressive and tries to intimidate when you disagree with his tactics. Know what you are getting into which may include court in the end. Pay after the work completed and you are satisfied. Don’t sign a one sided contract that only benefits Mike’s if you are dissatisfied.

Awful, awful experience with Mike's landscaping trying to get a quote for a few projects on our property.

First, their office is incredibly disorganized and I needed to call several times to get someone to come out and look at the project after being told "he's really busy, but he'll be by sometime next week" in mid-May. No one came by mid-June so I called again, and they had noted in my folder that I didn't want to proceed which wasn't accurate; we were looking to have a multi-part project done, and decided not to move forward with one part but still had wanted a quote for the more immediate need.

When Mike finally came out, he gave me a 30-minute heads up that he'd be coming by. Thankfully I work from home so was able to make it work. I was FLOORED by how rude he was. I greeted him, mentioned we had a few projects and took him to the backyard where we had just had trees cut down last week. Immediately, he said that he couldn't do anything because the trees needed to be removed (we just had the trees cut down on Friday, he was here on Monday). I told him that someone was coming this week to grind out the stumps and he said that wasn't good enough, anything he planted would die. No thoughts or recommendations on how to do that.

I had mentioned that we were also considering a fence for that specific spot but also had some other areas on the property with landscaping needs. He took a measurement of the line of cut trees, and told me that "he already knew what my answer was going to be" and "I didn't need to say anything else", meaning we were going to go with the fence. He asked about the other projects, but there was no way I was going to give him any business so thanked him for coming out and let him know I'd be in touch if we decided to move forward. He, again, said he already knew what the answer was going to be.

Our neighbors were in the yard and overheard the whole thing and were also shocked by how rude he was.

Mike couldn't have seemed more bothered to be there and less friendly or helpful. If you're looking for someone to help you navigate an unknown process, stay far away.

Mikes Landscaping does EXCEPTIONAL WORK! Their attention to detail and esthetics can only be described in the superlative! People are always requesting to know who does my landscaping when they see what has been done at my Home and previous businesses! I would highly recommend Mike’s Landscaping!

We chose Mikes Landscaping after realizing how poorly done our past landscape was. Done by another company. Mike came in with his crew spoke with us and came prepared with more than needed to be able to give us a new and beautiful front yard. A friendly and professional experience. Mike is very knowledgeable about planting and has a creative approach. We are very happy with his work and we plan on a long term relationship.
