John Canty and his team did an incredible job bringing our vision for an addition to our home to life. This team listens, advises, researches and presents information clearly. No project of this undertaking goes without some friction. When the pandemic hit and supplies were in short supply, John and Cynthia went above and beyond to locate and secure terrific substitutes. In fact, we can back to Canty Brothers for a kitchen renovation a few years later. Friends come for dinner and they cannot believe how much space John was able to create for us given the original kitchen footprint. Canty Brothers rebuilt an old family lake house for me. The home is a modified A frame with glass facing the lake and mountain across the lake - quite stunning. Every detail was included in the quote and I paid exactly what was quoted. The walk through was on the date promised when the contract was signed. John contributed many design ideas that I hadn't thought about. All workers were professional and friendly, cleaning the site at the end of each day. All finishes are first rate. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Canty Brothers Construction was selected for a large historic renovation we did in partnership with the State of MA. This was a daunting project, working on a formerly comdemed park building. John and his team proposed a workable plan, set and adhered to very strict deadlines and budgets, handled all the contractors and produced an absolutely extraordinary end result. We would not have been able to accomplish our goal of creating this magnificent space without their partnership and support.

Canty Brothers Construction has done lots of great work for my family over many years. We started our collaboration with a kitchen, dining area and roof deck for a 5 story brownstone in Boston. Our largest project together was a significant redesign of our current house. As can be seen in the pictures, redesigned the face of our house, transforming something plain into something we still love today. This redesign extended our garage, providing great additional storage and extended our porch, providing space for porch swing. The interior work supporting the exterior redesign was well thought out and very useful. They also upgraded a sitting room into a great office space w/granite top desk and a wall of shelves and cabinets. Last but not least, they replaced a small deck with a much larger one and included a patio space for seating and a fire pit. I can't say enough about how my family has enjoyed the result of Canty Brother's work over multiple houses

We needed a contractor and someone we could trust. After getting estimates we agreed John at Canty Brothers Construction Corp was the one. John appears to do things one way, THE RIGHT WAY! My husband is very fussy and John is also. John and his team were on top of everything.
This was a large job and between the demo company, insulation , electrician, painter, framer , Cynthia and his entire office staff. they were all fantastic. Everyone worked so hard to get the job done. Top notch team and we enjoyed working with everyone.

We hired Canty Brothers Construction to add a new elevated patio to our home and to add a new interior door with associated new painting. We have hired a number of general contractors in the past to manage home remodeling projects, and Canty Brothers was by far and away the best general contractor that we have ever worked with. We received bids from three general contractors, and the Canty Brothers' bid was very reasonable. They communicate very well during the construction process, their subcontractors are great, they meet deadlines and they do very high quality work. We are very focused on detail, fit and finish, and Canty Brothers proved to be just as focused on these things as we are. We will definitely hire them again if we have any additional home remodeling projects and strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a great general contractor.
