I hired Erick and M&M Painting and Landscaping to do a spring clean up of our yard. It was a mess after all the wind this winter. They did an excellent, thorough job. I'm very pleased with their way.

I have never given a bad review but in this case I would feel terrible if people accepted the great review I posted when the job was finished back in April 2024. In April 2024 I had this company paint my back porch and deck, it looked beautiful when it was done. When the winter hit, friends and family were afraid to walk on my steps because they turned into a sheet of ice. Everyone told me the wrong paint was used. Early Spring after snow melted, I noticed the paint was peeling on the floor and railings of the porch and deck. I felt confident the owner would honor thier guarantee so in April 2025, I texted the company and sent pictures of my deck and porch asking if we could schedule repainting of the porch and deck in correct paint. I kept getting told they couldn't do it because of all the rain and that they were just starting a big job. It got later into the Spring/Summer so I put a quick coat of deck stain on the porch and deck floor to cover the unsightly chipping paint. When I thought their outdoor painting and landscaping would be quieter, I once again tried to schedule . I was told it was past the guarantee time and was told my wood was to old and wet to hold paint. I wish they had told me this a year ago in April 2024 before they took my money and applied paint.
I think everyone who pays almost a $1000.00 expects the right paint to be used and that the paint would not peel the first year of having the job complete.
I retract the review I gave back in April 2024. I cannot recommend this company. I've learned my lesson to not make an expensive decision based on someone being nice. I will take the blame for not doing my research. Company said I they cannot work for no pay, but customers should not have to pay for unacceptable work.

TL;DR:
I hired M & M for landscaping and weed removal, but weeds quickly returned despite promises of long-term prevention. After full payment, he stopped responding to calls and never showed up to fix the issue. If you want someone reliable and accountable, look elsewhere.

My experience with M & M painting and landscaping has been extremely disappointing.
He was hired to do landscaping and clear weeds in my backyard. For the landscaped area, he assured me that he would use weed killer so only grass would grow—no weeds. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The area is now filled with weeds. I understand if there are a few weeds, but this is a lot of weeds in the grass.
In a small area of the backyard, where I specifically requested weed removal and fabric, he suggested weed removal and weed killer instead, he guaranteed there would be no weed growth for the rest of the year. Yet, just a few weeks later, the weeds are back in full force.
I reached out to him multiple times. For three weeks, he kept promising to come the following week but never showed up, no call no show. Eventually, he stopped answering my calls. When I tried calling from a different number, he picked up.
I’m shocked by the lack of accountability after he was paid in full. Mistakes happen—but disappearing instead of addressing the problem is unacceptable.
If you're looking for someone who stands by their work and will respond if issues arise after payment, this is not the person for you.
