Landscaping reviews in Marlborough, Massachusetts

I spoke to Tiffany, who answers the phones. I made four appointments. They cancelled four times. I made the appointments on two different days. One appointment in the morning, one in afternoon on two days. All four appointments were cancelled. They refused to let me speak to the owner, and had no care about my workday or my schedule. As well, Tiffany was very disrespectful on the phone. Not a good choice. When the owner doesn’t come to the phone and isn’t allowed to speak, that’s a red flag.

W&E was doing tree work behind my house. Their crew dropped multiple trees on my property crushing sections of my fence as well as a 28' extension ladder that was hanging from the fence. William (the owner I believe) has refused to replace my ladder so it's off to court we go. I have given him MULTIPLE weeks to correct this as well as weekly emails checking in to get an answer. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are not professional, accountable, and negligent.

I got their name from Angie's List and I thought I got very good fall clean up service, cleaned my yard up in no time, and I mean clean. The guys was thorough and once they were done, there was no leaf to be seen.
I just wished they would let me know if they couldn't come by the day that I was told that they would come by. I get it, it's their busy season so some kind of notice would be great. I was on the border of dinging a star off the review, but it was hard to justify that dinging. They did do a very good job, for the price I paid and aside from that, like I said, I get it, its their busy season, so I can't make myself faulting them on that.
I will for sure call them in the future if their service is needed again. -
A friend of mine recommended them to me and gave them a call the next day their company manager went out to give me an estimate. Loved the price and the work was completed the following week. The job that they completed looked amazing will defiantly recommend them.

We started using them last year after a friend referred us. A month ago, I arranged a time for them to come out to do our fall cleanup at the same price they quoted us last year. Fast forward to the day of, W and E calls saying that they decided to raise their fall cleanup price by 50%. How absurd! I get you want to raise your price, but that should be have been stated when I made the arrangements or after this fall cleanup. Not the day of! After I tried to talk to them and the poor administrative assistant said she would talk to her manager. I never received a phone call back. I would never recommend them to anyone and I personally feel that they are trying to reel in business and then upcharge to see how desperate you are. Horrible business practice! STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Highly responsive to a difficult, weather dependent issue that we were having with our yard. Job was finished to our complete satisfaction as the multiple crews involved delivered superb results. We would strongly recommend them - having been mowing our lawns for several years.

This company is incredibly unreliable, especially when it comes to spring and fall clean ups. On multiple occasions, they cut my lawn in incorrect conditions permanently damaging it. Additionally, this year for my fall clean up they removed the leaves instead of blowing them to the wooded area in the back of my yard and then invoiced me at the removal rate, which was their mistake. Needless to say, I will not be re-hiring them in the spring.

Every week I would notice W & E mowing my neighbors lawn and wondered why the company I was using wasn't this reliable. I finally canceled them and called W & E, and am glad I did! They are very responsive and their prices were great! They come every week as promised and do a great job! The front desk is very pleasant and helpful. I am glad I made the change!

I decided not to renew with W&E Landscaping this year (2022), after using them for my mowing and lawn care (fall and spring clean-up) for several years. They did some beautiful landscaping work, edging my mulch beds with white stone. Unfortunately, last year (2021) I felt like I wasn't a high-priority client when it came to my lawn care. In May of last year, when my grass was growing at its fastest rate of the year, they didn't show-up to mow for 3 weeks. I called everyday after my weekly service date had passed, and every day, someone assured me that I was on the schedule for the next day. My grass looked like a field of wheat before they finally came. The same thing happened in the fall with my second leaf clean-up service. They left the leaves on my yard for 3 weeks, which killed a lot of my grass, some of which had just started growing from an overseed service that TruGreen had done. Again, I called every day and was always assured I was on the schedule for the next day. I very seldom write negative reviews, but I wouldn't recommend using W&E Landscaping to anyone, after my experience. And if I could, I would give it 0 stars. I had to give it 1 just to submit my review.

STAY AWAY !!! they never respond to phone calls, they have the worst customer service. They were doing our landscaping and this year they still have not showed up in spite of repeated phone calls, emails what not. Our grass in the yard is out of control and we both have some medical condition due to which we need a landscaper to mow

2024 - I write to endorse W&E. They have dramatically improved on communication and reliability. They are good fellows, devoted to good work and I recommend them without hesitation. 2024 - Have used W&E again this year. They have done a fine job. I endorse them strongly. 2023 - I have used W&E off and on for many years. Frankly, there are times I have been frustrated. My primary complaint was poor communication and unreliable scheduling. These last two years and particularly the last year, they have improved dramatically. I do not blame them for scheduling problems, weather is unpredictable, but I want to know when they are coming. This last year, W&E has had much more responsive communication and I am very grateful to them. For example, on leaf pickup this year, W&E telephoned me on two occasions to keep me informed on scheduling. We make an effort to prepare for their fall cleaning and so, this communication is of great value. Here is another improvement: W&E’s team usually piles the leaves and then a second truck drops by later to pick them up. It is a fine plan – unless it takes another day. This year, we have had two pickups and both of them have occurred within two hours of the leaf blowing. This bespeaks improved corporate organization and management. If you have used W&E in the past, and perhaps had some frustration, I recommend you try them again. I have always liked their people and now can endorse their much improved communication.

Do not use this company! This is the worst company I’ve ever worked with in my life. They changed the price 3 times on a job to plant some privacy trees and they planted the tree’s crooked and 2 months later they are already dead. They will not return your calls and are nasty belligerent people. Check out the BBB if you don’t believe me. I’m in the process of suing them now. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. William and his team deserve to have their business license revoked. Horrible people, horrible business!

If you’re looking for a reliable & responsive landscaping company, do not go with this place. They charge you for invoices w/o discussing them with you first, constantly miss days that you’re scheduled for service, and they are terrible with communication and customer service/satisfaction. Would rather give my business to a company that actually cares about their clients. They are rated F by the BBB so that explains everything

W&E did an entryway for me a few years ago and I've been reaching out for over a month with several emails and phone calls to have them look into potential warranty work or repair as some of the pavers are now loose. I cannot get a call back and two times I spoke with someone they were not helpful stating that the manager is unavailable and they forwarded my email.
To add to this, when the work was initially done, they showed up and started the work without ever sending me a start date or even collecting the 50% deposit they require before beginning. The communication was poor from the start and I only am providing 2 stars because the initial job itself was done well. -
They're changing their business name to Simply Landscape Inc probably to get past all these negative reviews.
Avoid them like the plague, they are fraudulent operators. I signed a contract with them to have lawn seeding. They never delivered the service but send me an invoice. I called them repeatedly, sent them emails and pictures showing that the service wasn't delivered. They didn't bother to respond or correct the problem. I refused to pay for a service not delivered and they sent the invoice to collections. Afterwards I found similar experiences from neighbors and they're also moving away this company. I will have to take them to court to settle this but I hope no one else has to go through what I went through. Very unprofessional and shady business. -
This company does not meet its commitments, does not communicate when commitments are not met, does not fix its mistakes, and is dishonest about its methods.
They didn't show up when they said they would for mowing my lawn, and didn't communicate why they didn't show up or reschedule without me asking them about it several days later on multiple occasions. They also didn't show up even when they rescheduled! They didn't prune one of my bushes correctly and said they would fix it "when they consider it convenient" after asking them multiple times over the course of 4+weeks to do so. I asked them about when they think it would be convenient but never got an answer to my question. They applied compost unevenly over my lawn so my grass' length has become noticeably uneven in patches. They also lied about not using heavy equipment to mow my lawn. I saw them use a mower with a stand-on in tow during their first mow. -
I came across Ramon's website in search of organic products. He politely informed me that he did not sell organic products- but that he offers organic gardening and landscaping services. Then, rather than just, "send me on my merry way"- he proceeded to ask me if I had any questions I might have wanted answered- and- as a first time, aspiring gardener- I certainly did. He took the time to methodically, thoroughly and clearly answer all of my numerous questions with apparent candor, care and expertise. His experience, honesty and thoughtfulness in the area of organic gardening is quite impressive and deserves to be commended.
I am sure it will show in all work he does for customers.
If I will come across any friends that need his kind of services- I will feel very comfortable referring them to him. Thank you. -
The absolute best in the business! Incredibly knowledgeable about each plant, flower, shrub. Ramon brings his many years of experience to the table to make your gardening/yard and landscaping vision come to life. Truly organic. And what I most valued in our exchanges—honesty. Ramon clearly cares deeply and is truly passionate about what he does. We had no real color here at our new house and now I LOVE our new front perennial garden. Will be hiring again. His clients stay with him for many years and now I understand why. It is rare that I review anything online, but I was truly taken by how committed he was to helping my vision come to life from beginning to end. I love my flower garden!! HIGHLY recommend!!

Did a wonderful job on our front steps and a path and retaining wall. Most of our neighborhood have used them if need any work done. The guys are lovely, polite and so hardworking. They tidy up afterwards, I couldn't recommend enough.

Several of my neighbors use DaSilva Landscaping, and I am always impressed with the work they do. I think they do GREAT work👍. So much so I wanted to give them a shout out from an admirer. I have a guy, so I want to support during these turbulent times (but I dream about using DaSilva). No idea what they cost, but looks very worth it to me in terms of results. Can't help admiring work done well.

My neighbor hired DaSilva 4+ years ago. Since then, their trucks have parked on our grass and blown leaves from the street & neighbor’s yard onto our property—both of which have happen every year multiple times since they started servicing them. I’ve tried calling to alert DaSilva to this to see if they could help rectify the situation, but nobody answers the phone when you call forcing you to leave a message that hasn’t been returned yet. Coincidentally we're in the process of selecting a new landscaping company, and they’ve eliminated themselves from the running due to these ongoing issues.
