We lost our heat the day after Thanksgiving (Thanksgiving Friday) We called the gas company and they dispatched a repair service that never showed up. We then asked for several names of gas furnace repair services. Kermit B Schulz is the only one that called back and within an hour of our call to them. They showed up within 2 hours. We then replaced our old furnace. They were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. A company you can depend on.. That is what we all want, especially when it comes to heat doing the first cold weather snap we had.

For over 10 years, KBS has done a great job providing annual maintenance for our central AC. Never once had they changed the service date on us and they had always been on time. Recently, we have to replace our gas furnace and AC. Naturally, we thought of them. Their price quote for a top brand name furnace was better than others. They showed up punctually. The whole operation was completed in less than a day; licensed plumber and electricians among the technicians. Even the KBS Salesperson whom I first communicated with to get a quote showed up. Subsequent arrangement for the town inspectors to validate the installation was done efficiently too. Workers were professional, friendly, and above all, competent. Mass Save rebate data were provided to me to facilitate a painless online application.  All in all, we are completely satisfied with the whole process. Thank you, KBS!

Our temperamental 9 year old heating system went out for the first time in December of 2020. Our normal service technician took a look at our Slantfin and told us our heat exchange had cracked and we needed another system completely. It wasn't adding up so we reached out to a friend for a referral to another company.

We contacted Kermit B Schulz and Sons to grab a second opinion. Immediately we could tell the difference as they worked with us to identify our warranty options with Slantfin only to find that we were lied to and the system needed separate repairs. Multiple repairs, multiple trips, and a ton of effort by Brian and we were back up and running.

This past January our heat went out again. This time, a totally separate set of error codes and right before temperatures were dropping into the single digits. The day before the coldest day of the year, Mike from KBS found the part we needed in another part of the state, picked it up, and installed it that day.

The most important thing you can have when your heat goes out in the winter is a company you can trust. That is KBS. Old school, family oriented, they go above and beyond to do right by their customers. Can't say enough good things about this company.

Kermit B Schulz & Sons are a truly professional company. We lost our HVAC system in the middle of winter and their service reps made it to our house within a hour of our call. When it was determined through a complete diagnostic that we needed a new system, heaters were brought to help us stay warm.
Chip Schulz then came out to prepare an order for our new system. He was very familiar with our system because he installed the originals when the condos were built. Chip explained everything he was doing, and took the time to help us fill out paperwork for rebates with MassSave, and gave us information to obtain financing with a local bank that works with MassSave.
Chip did his best to expedite the delivery of our new system from the manufacturer, and when received the crew from Kermit B Schulz were out the next day. All the necessary sub-contractors needed to finish job, had been scheduled previously and were right on time. Our entire HVAC system was removed and replaced expeditiously in about 7 hours. Kermit Schulz performed an outstanding job, cleaning up after themselves, and walking us through the correct operation.
We are so glad that we dealt with Kermit B Schultz for our HVAC needs, and we were treated almost as family, and we have no concerns about their knowledge, professionalism, and social skills, that each and every team member who came to fix our problem, we felt went above and beyond to make their customers happy, and to assure us of a system that they 100% stand behind. Kermit Schulz installed a new AC system for my 2nd floor. Dan responded to me fairly promptly but could only do his best with an estimate of when the work could be done due to the pandemic. The system was installed in November, too late to be tested, so they will hopefully come first thing in the spring to turn it on. The installers were prompt, polite and neat. I would use them again.

We’ve used KBS for semi- annual maintenance for the last of couple years. We were recommended by a friend. The annual maintenance has been easy to schedule and their technician staff has been very professional and transparent with their work.

KBS recently installed a new condenser and air handler to replace a 20 year old system. The technicians were great to work with, and very responsive and transparent just like their maintenance work. We had one issue with scheduling, the technicians needed to come back to finalize one piece but we hadn’t heard from the office staff to schedule a time so we ended up reaching out and the technician quickly came out that day. While we were waiting for the work to be completed the final invoice showed up in the mail, which felt a little off since the work was still incomplete. All in all, we would still recommend KBS for a replacement or install and will use them again. They definitely have top notch and high quality technicians on their staff, so the servicing has been great!

I first heard of KBS from a neighbor and received a quote from them concerning a full installation of a new AC system (including new ducts). They were very helpful giving me the different options I could choose (minisplits vs central AC vs heatpumps), pros and cons of each, and even encouraged me to do some of my own research regarding different brands and capabilities. If there was a particular brand/type of AC unit I wanted, they would install it (some companies only install 1 or 2 brands). I received a great quote from them that was significantly cheaper than others I received.

The installation service was a smooth as it could be with zero issues. The installation techs were very professional, on time each day, and very friendly/knowledgeable. I asked an abundance of questions at each stage of the install, and I received in depth answers to all of my questions. They went over in detail their plans for where everything would be located, and then asked my opinions on those locations before drilling holes. The install wasn't disruptive at all and was a very clean, easy job. I highly recommend KBS and would gladly hire them again for an AC install.

I used this company for the first time after someone recommended them. Our furnace pipe had burst the night before we were about to get some very cold temperatures. They came out that night and found a way to get the pressurizer we needed and extra part. The employees who serviced us couldn't be more pleasant and professional. That sincerely wanted to try to help us. And we appreciate it. And despite the bit of a crisis we were in, KBS didn't take advantage of us with super high pricing. They came back the following week to give us very overdue service (our fault) and we will be using them annually form this point further.

Way back before I knew KB, i used to use another company. One in my place of work, We had a very bad gas smell, my regular company found no issues and moved on, at this time, someone recommended KB, they came and fixed the issue right away. I fired the other company and have had contract with KB since then and have many work done, not only for my business but for my home as well. Over the years, we have had our furnaces replaced and many other big jobs. CHIP is the owner and an amazing guy. Other than Chip, all the technician that come to my building are professional, friendly and get the job done. Betty is another nice lady in the office. Thank you!

Kermit B Schulz & Sons originally installed both out heating and whole house cooling systems 16 years ago and we are very satisfied with their professionalism, installation and service.
Unfortunately this year our A/C system required a major repair. Kermit B Schulz & Sons was contacted and I was able to not only quickly schedule a service call that identified the problem but I was able to receive a quote for the repair.
Kermit B Schulz & Sons presented multiple repair scenarios for us as well as presenting a possible system replacement that would be energy efficient over our present unit. The work was scheduled and Kermit B Schulz & Sons executed the removal , installation and complete check out of the new system.

We have done two large projects with Kermit and Schultz. In both homes we have replaced two complete HVAC systems and have installed a traditional water heater as well as a tankless on demand system. Had ductwork and heat pumps installed for two new systems in my home. Dennis and Chip were great to work with on the back end, going above and beyond to ensure I got the best system I could and helped me navigate the MassSave programs. Kermit B Schulz & Sons Inc. replaced my (2) original HVAC systems with (2) new heat pumps. Before we decided on the heat pumps, they took us thru the pros and cons of each option including why we should not waste the money on adding 1-2 additional heat pump(s) on our top floor. Their foreman Brian is one of the best - friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and professional - and the work they did came out excellent and clean. I would highly recommend!

I have done business with this company for over 45 years. They installed the duct work in our home, a furnace, and air conditioning unit. The air conditioner was still working when we replace it last week after 31 years. I believe it speaks to the quality of the AC unit and the skill of the technicians at Schulz who did yearly maintenance on it.
All of our interaction with staff starting with Betty in the office to the technicians we have at our home have been very positive. We needed a new furnace this month, and contacted Schulz & other businesses for a quote. Schulz gave us a better unit for less than their competitors.
The same with the AC. They installed both the same day with no inconvenience to us. We are happy to continue doing business with them.

My HVAC was going on 25 years. Replace or not replace? KBS had been servicing my old system for about a decade and I was already acquainted with the company's high professional standards. So we got in touch. When I learned that KBS contracts with Trane HVAC Company and then it appeared that Trane had recently replaced the airconditioning system in the train Chunnel to effect Europe's largest airconditioning system, I became convinced that it was time for my humble basement to move up in the world, to set its sights higher. I wanted my basement to get the respect that it deserves. KBS expertly took care of the engineering (maneuvering around July 4). Owner Chip dropped by for a critical intervention when the condo layout posed some unique challenges. Many thanks also to Mike and Sergei. I am very happy with the result. When I go down my basement I now blow my train whistle and go to choo choo choo (not really).

We have used Kermit Schultz and Sons on multiple occasions and have always been very satisfied with the work performed. The first time was fixing a heater venting issue that no other company could seem to resolve. Kermit and team was able to quick address and successfully fix the issue. The next time was an emergency replacement of a central air unit that needed to be replaced in July 2019. Kermit quickly put me on schedule within the week to replace. Workmanship is always top notch and fair and reasonably priced. Thank you to his team I highly recommend.

I had an aging AC system and of course during the hottest stretch of the summer it went down, Kermit Schulz & Sons came out and first tried to get my system up and running and was able to get one of the 2 units running. The next day I met a rep for the company and he inspected the house and system requirements and gave me a quote within 24 hours. The install was scheduled and done within 10 days. As is my luck, one of the brand new units had a faulty part that needed to be ordered and the installer called and explained and could not have been more accomodating given the situation and actually gave me his personal cell # to call if I needed anything. I recently had a new boiler and water heater installed. Kermit B Schulz was amazing with setting up the job and the follow through.They treated my home as if was their own. Their work was excellent and they
left the job broom clean.
The staff is also excellent to deal with. especially Brian Anderson. Betty in the office was great, she set up my appointment and helped get the job scheduled in a timely manner. I like that she takes the time to explain anything you do not understand concerning how the job is done.
All the staff that worked my project were very knowledgeable. and polite.
