I can't say enough wonderful things about the team from Bio-One. After many years of battling rodents, they came in and cleaned and sanitized my garage and basement. They were on time, informed, professional and above all, really nice guys. I highly recommend them

Told them my budget was $400 and the guy on the phone said it would probably be more than $400 so I said ok I could up my budget a little. They came and did the free estimate and said it would take about 2 hours or to clean up. They then come back with a $1500 quote $750/hr when I was told it was like 250-300/hr or so. Just seems like a ripoff for 2 hours of work and I clearly explained that my budge is $400… Dave was very nice though so nothing against him. He didn’t set the price.

UPDATE: We'll be using them again for a(n unexpected) biohazard cleanup. The cleanup requires a specific treatment for one surface, with a cleaning material we purchase ourselves. We should also note that Dave made it clear he can't guarantee his presence at the job for the entire time due to the emergent nature of their work. We'll keep folks posted.

Dave at Bio One is the absolute backbone of this company. He was with us from start to finish, was impressively responsive and thorough, and even offered us some insight on unrelated issues from one homeowner to another. He made an atypical biohazard cleaning -- a dedandering of a new household due to severe allergies -- manageable. The quality of work he holds himself to is notable.

That isn't to say there weren't _any_ glitches? Dave's team seemed very nice, but did not seem to be as attentive to detail when Dave was (needfully) absent for parts of the job. In addition to missing some spots here and there, a team member actively went against instructions, and put a bottle of cleaner on a surface that /specifically/ isn't supposed to have that cleaner on it -- to the point that we noted what cleaners should be avoided there. They could have ruined our kitchen's granite countertop. But we were able to restore it ourselves, and they handled the (minimal) cost of the materials for that fix. There were multiple places the adhesive for shelf paper was still left even after the second time through, despite that being one of the main reasons Dave returned, but we ended up handling that ourselves.

Full Disclosure: Most people seek out Biohazard companies because of a tragedy, and those circumstances often involve insurance covering at least part of the costs. Ours was entirely out of pocket. To set expectations for those who need to do similar things: Biohazard cleanings are EXPENSIVE. But given the materials they use, the negative pressure areas they set up, etc., it's usually a one-time thing that makes the cost worth it.

As long as Dave is at this company, I'd use Bio One again.

Bio-One Boston did an amazing job for our family. Dave and his team were professional and genuinely caring during a difficult time. They went above and beyond and we can't thank them enough!

My family and I engaged Bio-One Boston after we discovered the extent of our sibling's hoarding issue after their unexpected death (of natural causes outside of the home). We were overwhelmed, and David came out the day after I called to provide an estimate, and was able to schedule the work within a week, which was so appreciated as it could be done before I had to return to my home out of state. My sibling had a one-family home, and Bio-One's team of 3 were able to clear clutter and create paths so we could enter the rooms, while also thoughtfully and kindly identifying mail, banking items, and personal jewelry that were important and meaningful for my family to have.

Day 3 was dedicated to cleaning, and without hesitation they scrubbed down the bathrooms and kitchen, while the family sorted through items that we wanted to keep and those that could go. We were able to fill two dumpsters, and the team also removed furniture (chairs, couches, mattresses) and even the fridge. They offered to appropriately dispose of mail that otherwise would have needed to be shredded, and honorably dispose of well-used American flags. There was nothing we asked that they did not have a solution for.

The service is expensive, but you honestly do get what you pay for - professional, sensitive, and high quality help for overwhelming tasks in a time of crisis.

Bio-One did a cleanup job for me. They were available within a few days of when I needed the work done, came on time, and did a good job.

There was a complication. A thief stole Boston Bio-One's owner's email login and from that email account, asked me to transfer the payment via ACH. Bruce, the owner, handled the issue very well. Thanks Bruce!

I honestly can't thank Bio One Boston for everything they did during such a tough time for our family. Dave was absolutely the best, very caring and detailed. We hired them to clean out after a death and they were so professional, reliable and comforting. Dave is a wonderful representative for the company and Bruce handled dealing directly with the insurance company which was so helpful. We had a blood incident in an apartment and hallways at a multi-family property we own. Since there were other tenants living in the building it was important to get a cleanup ASAP. The police on scene referred us to Bio-One Boston. They were very responsive and gave me a realistic time frame when they could be there. After arriving, explaining the process and setting up, the three of them began the clean up. The team worked efficiently and the job was completed in a few hours. All areas were cleaned and sanitized as promised. Thank you Bio-One for being there and helping me deal with this stressful situation!

***In response to Bruce (the owners') response to this review, your depiction of the situation is not true. My dad was not ignoring anyone. He called your operations manager Dave in the early afternoon and asked for the final invoice. You were the one that ignored his request for the invoice all afternoon and evening and instead sent an aggressive email threatening legal action. Then finally an invoice was sent 6+ hours later (at 8:30PM). If anyone was ignoring someone, it was you ignoring my father. It was a simple request of a final invoice showing all the charges and line items. Considering it was a fluid situation and no one knew how many days or dumpsters would be needed to complete the work, there is no way you could have provided an accurate invoice at the start of the job. I understand you have to worry about customers not paying, but treating your customers like criminals when they ask for a final invoice is ridiculous. I also didn't even mention in the first review that on one of the work days you had all 3 of your employees go on a Home Depot supply run while my dad was spending over $3K a day for their services. That 1.5 hour Home Depot trip cost my dad about $600 alone. When my dad called concerned about this, you didn't see any issue. I'm going to drop this 2 star review down to 1 since you still don't see any issues with your customer service.

Initial Review: The 2 stars is mostly for the owner of the franchise. My dad only wanted an invoice of the charges he was being billed before he handed over a $29k check for extensive work that was done. I think that is a very reasonable request. However, the owner, Bruce, quickly responded to my dad with an aggressive email threatening legal action and mechanics liens on his property if he didn't get the check immediately. And spitefully removed a random $395 discount he said he previously had on the bill. Very surprised how aggressive he was with my dad over the simple request of an invoice. Eventually the invoice was sent to my father, and the bill was paid. But the customer service of the owner left a bad taste in my mouth. Dave, the operations manager, and the employees actually doing the work, were very respectful and pleasant to deal with.

they never showed up, called them twice and they didnt pick up and had no voicemail
