Edson and his team at Krefta have been doing snow and ice removal (as well as other landscape maintenance work) for us at BINA Farm Center for two years. They are responsive, thorough and go above and beyond to make sure our needs are met and makes sure the humans and horses at BINA are safe. It's a bonus that Edson is such a nice person to deal with too.

Our commercial project took two years in the planning. After finalizing the architectural plans we went to bid, we requested bids from 12 landscape companies and Krefta Landscaping was in the top three to bid. In considering Krefta many factors went into play. Their bid was reasonable and on target to the project, they bid on what was asked for and not deviating from the design. Other contractors changed the specs and made it difficult to compare, (you know how hard it is to compare bids when they are different; we like comparing apples to apples).
The references we used checked out and we even found some high recommendations from them! We then did a site visit to the shop and were impressed of what an operation they have. Talk about boys and their toys, they have a lot of equipment and can handle just about anything. We accepted their bid and got on their schedule, which was another factor that we wanted to know, how long will it take? They came exactly on time and blew out our project exactly one week ahead of schedule. Yes we did have good weather in August which helped keep things moving. Even when we got a deluge of rain which filled the excavation site next to our finished basement they came in the rain within 1/2 hour with pumps and equipment to resolve the standing water, so within two hours after contacting them they resolved the situation. As we progressed with the project every problem was resolved ASAP and usually within the same day. This is how they work all the time. When a problem comes up it gets attended to and resolved!
The attention to detail was exceptional and all the workers were respectable to our professional cliental during the project. From the initial contact to the nifty-gritty of the project the whole team is a well-oiled machine. The owner, Edson, is a real craftsman that knows his stuff he guides his team to do it right the first time but if something isn't perfect he will make it right! We had to make our pathway a 5% grade or less which included steps and curbs, which is very tricky, he is a master of making it happen to meet the specs. We were finally inspected by the town building inspector and the proof is in the pudding; where the finished grade was measured to be 4.9%. Nice!
Start to finish they do an excellent job and you could be rest assured it will be done right! the first time.
We couldn't have chosen a better contractor to do this complex job.

Love our new patio! We extended our patio to add a hot tub. Edson has a vast experience and a good eye and provided great ideas, such as adding a wall for sitting, adding lights, stairs and even suggested potential furniture for our new addition. The work is very professional and the team work clean. At the end of the working day, all equipment is stored in a specific place. The team is hard working and you see changes every single day. We added additional work throughout the project and Edson was very easy to work with and the prices were reasonable. Our yard have been transformed. Even the grass seeding are coming in earlier than expected and we can't wait to enjoy our new patio and the new looking back yard.

Edson was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. His crew was was just as professional. The work they did was beautiful! We will be using Krefta Landscaping in the future for our landscaping needs.

We contacted Krefta Landscape to build a pergola for our yard. Everaldo and his men did a wonderful job from start to finish. Everaldo had to re do our patio when the kitchen island and Pergola were finished. Working with us closely, the patio line came out perfect. Jerry was meticulous with the pillars and stone work around them. Moses worked closely with all of them and our pergola came out amazing. Our only constructive comment would be for better communication from Edson. We often had to call/text to get things done in a timely manner. We know that he has many other jobs going on at once. Edson was always polite and courteous to us throughout the whole project.

I recently had a large portion of my driveway replaced by Kefta Landscaping using permeable pavers. The job included a retaining wall and removal of the old driveway and several large root systems that had broken up my parking area. Edson and his crew were very professional and completed my job on time and with minimal disruption following the well communicated plans. The team is very skilled with both the preparation of the site / use of heavy machinery as well as paver placement and layout. I appreciate the excellent work and the great communication!!!

Although we rarely write reviews, we feel compelled to do so after the amazing experience we recently had with Krefta Landscaping, Inc. in Billerica, MA. A couple of weeks ago we noticed a Krefta Landscaping truck at our neighbor’s house. We observed the hard-working crew and the beautiful improvement in our neighbor’s property. We contacted Edson Krefta, president of the company, who came out later in the week to give us a quote on a major property clean-up; including pruning trees, removing overgrown shrubs, extensive weeding, and mulching the existing landscape beds. Edson offered a reasonable price and excellent timeline, so we hired his company. They provided exceptional service and made substantial improvements to the overall esthetic design, adding their own creative flair. Edson and his crew are polite, industrious, and provide work of the highest quality. We have nothing but praise for Krefta Landscaping and recommend them without reservation! Krefka designed and installed beautiful new walkways and low-voltage ground lighting for our home. Their team also did great landscaping work to edge and mulch our shrubbery and flower beds and masonry work to repair the concrete around our foundation. Their crew is easy to work with and is professional and hard-working and they produce great results. We would work with them again.

Was a pleasure working with Edson and his crew. Although there were some delays (on our end) in getting our project started, Edson was quite patient and helpful. Great help on project design as well. And once we got started they worked steadily to get it done with minimal disruption. New patio and driveway look fantastic. Edson was very willing to work with us to get everything just right, and even did a bunch of small extra things that came up as the job progressed without additional charges. Highly recommended!

With a project of large magnitude, it is typical to expect some bumps along the way, but this was not the case with Kefta. This project started as the Covid Pandemic began to create shelter in place and most production facilities were starting to shut down. The Krefta team problem solved during each phase, working to ensure supplies were ordered and delivered in a timely fashion and work never came to a halt. It was amazing to see how much they could accomplish while our country was in crisis.

We hired Krefta Landscaping to do landscape work at our home in Belmont including significant grading and drainage, building a retaining wall, installing a patio, installing lighting and irrigation and planting a new lawn and trees. They did an excellent job, did it in the time they promised, and at the price agreed upon.

Edson Krefta is great to work with. His crew was here every day at 7:30 and didn't leave until after 6:00 on most days. They kept a very clean work site and did their best to minimize disruption to our lives while they worked. Edson is a hands on owner and was on site many days ensuring the job went smoothly. His suggestions and ideas worked really well and never felt as though he was trying to sell us on more work.

On the few occasions where issues arose, Edson did everything we could ask to make it right. He was very flexible with changes and only charged when there was significant extra cost.

We hired Krefta landscaping to build a couple of patios + retaining Wall, as well as to transplant several plants. I usually don’t post contractor reviews, but I felt obligated this time. Krefta is a top Landscaping contractor through and trough. From the timely initial visit and adequate estimate, to the great craftsmanship of the crew and the timely conclusion of the work (ahead of time). The patios look great!

Working with Edson and the Krefta team was terrific. We were introduced by some friends who had redone their back yard working with Krefta and had beautiful results. We were looking to do something different and weren’t sure if that was also in Krefta’s wheelhouse but set up a time to discuss.

Our consultation with Edson was great. He listened to the design ideas that we had for our yard and made very constructive suggestions (in some cases of additional things we could do and in other cases ways that we could do less and save money). We settled on a design, materials and project plan and pricing was competitive with the other quote we had received.

The crew that did the work did a great job and the project was completed within our ideal timeframe (even having experienced some weather-related challenges). The finished project looks fantastic and is precisely what we had hoped for.

Edson is so easy to work with, super professional, and his vision for what he had for our backyard went well beyond what I thought it would look like. He was also very willing to incorporate any changes we had along the way. His crew is awesome - they get there early and stay late if needed. His pricing is on par with what other companies charge - we had 3 other quotes and they were all around the same amount. You will not be disappointed!
