Marcus provided a fantastic and extremely fast service that we needed and was very accommodating. We were redoing our kitchen and discovered mold that was caused by leak from upstairs toilet. The mold spread to the basement and we needed this cleared ASAP as we had work planned. We called him in the afternoon, and he came the next day for inspection at 1 pm. On that same day he came back a few hours later, and worked until late at night around 10PM, and was able to get the job done. The quality of work was fantastic, the price was very fair considering scope of work. I would highly recommend his services.

We had water damage in our basement from a rainstorm that was turning a flooded carpet and contents that had been on the floor into mildew and mold. Marcus came out the day we called and started work once he had the deposit. He and his team did an excellent, detailed job. He stayed until after 9 pm one night to make sure we were cleaned up. I hired Marcus to do water damage mitigation and mold prevention in my house after a pipe burst. Marcus did not open any walls or ceilings, he just installed his equipment and let it run. He had his equipment here for three days, after which he told me that everything was dry and only cosmetic work was needed, to repaint walls and refinish the floors. Luckily, I was able to get an independent company come out and take moisture readings to check his work. They found that most of the walls and the floors were still wet. I watched as reading after reading showed "wet, wet, wet, wet." They advised that walls needed to be opened to be dried well because of the insulation inside that stayed wet with the surface drying that Marcus did. They also explained to me that if I leave things unopened, in the summer everything inside the walls will start getting moldy. In fact, one of the rooms already started smelling damp two days after the equipment was removed. Marcus was combative and rude when I communicated this to him and asked for a partial refund. I would strongly caution you not to work with his company. They won't do a good job and their response to a complaint is to dismiss it. As you see from his response below, even though the readings done today by an INDEPENDENT company showed the walls and floors are wet, Marcus will not take a customer concern seriously. I had no interest in him coming back since the work he has done was so lousy. I just do not want anyone else to pay the very high rates this company charges for the extremely poor quality of water damage mitigation that they offer.

I’ve used Marcus Leal’s service 3 times now (for 3 unrelated incidents) and have been extremely satisfied with his work and service. Some of the best qualities of his service:

1. Each time I called him it was an emergency, he answered my call immediately, and he took time out of his schedule to come to my home within a couple hours.
2. He’s extremely communicative, always responds to my texts within minutes, always notifies me when he’s on his way.
3. He offers competitive rates. I know this because one of the incidents was covered by insurance and the insurance adjuster’s estimates were slightly higher than Marcus’s quotes.
4. His work is high quality and he goes out of his way to ensure damage is mitigated and repairs are completed. He finds the solution that minimizes costs and needless demolition while still solving the problem.
5. He gets things done quickly. His repairs and contractor work were always started as soon as possible and completed much sooner than I expected.
6. He’s a nice guy. Very respectful, shared some pizza with my kids, went out of his way to help move furniture back and clean up after repairs and everything were done.
