This company has nothing but very unprofessional people working for them. They were laying asphalt at the nursing home I work for and they were rude to so many people who work here. They even had the nerve to honk and go around one of our residents is a wheel chair getting out of an ambulance! Seriously! ... I would never hire them for myself after what we saw.....

I purchased 40 square yards of compost (August 2015) and including delivery charges, paid $1,242.50. When it was delivered I was taken aback by its color - it was grey (instead of the dark rich black humus that characterizes compost). It was also sandy, gritty, and had many small pebbles. So I sent in a sample to the UMASS Soil and Plant Tissue Testing Laboratory. The results are as follows:
    *ph of 6.0
*on the lower end of Phosphorous, Potassium, and below the optimal range for Calcium
*a little bit too much Copper, and way to much iron
    *4.2% Soil Organic Matter
*Soil textural analysis: 70.7% sand, 20.8% silt, 8.5% clay

The purpose of compost in farming is to add nutrients to the soil. The "compost" they sold me has even less nutrients than the barren top soil on my property. Also, a soil science expert at the lab assured me that there was no way that this could be compost. Compost, she says, "at a minimum has at least at 20% soil organic matter content, and yours was only 4%."

If I had trusted Reis's assurances and spread their compost on my field, it could have completely destroyed my first year of farming. I asked for my money back. I showed them the results. They refused everything. They refused to get their compost tested. They refused to reimburse me for the soil test I paid for. They refused to give me my money back. I just lost over a grand, and they don't have a clue about what they are doing.

My neighbor had his commercial parking lot paved by Reis Asphalt and highly recommended this company. Our driveway was on a much smaller scale but it looks really nice. They fixed the pitch problem that existed with the old driveway. Hiring Reis was an easy decision for us.

How do you explain this, called this company at 9am asking for 60 yards of loam delivered to Fall River, the girl told me not a problem just waiting on a truck then we will deliver it on the next load, waited for 3 hours and called her back for her to tell me "I am trying to get a driver" i told her i thought you told me you were gonna load the truck, her answer was "i will get you atleast one load today" again waited for another couple of hours, had to call back because i never received a call back, now she tells me she cannot do it. No apologizes, no remorse, pretty much just screw you. Don't use this company because your job will never get done waiting for their materials.

If you are looking for a phenomenal family run company--look no further!
Reis Asphalt and Landscaping is extremely reliable, professional, state-of-the-art, and very well priced. If you value attention to detail, you will be very impressed by Reis! Derek Reis is way beyond fantastic--I love his sincere personality, kindness, honesty and wealth of knowledge. How would you like to deal with a company where the job is paid for and Derek returns to enhance the property further to satisfy "his perfect vision!" Needless to say, if you want perfection, I highly recommend Reis!

I have actually had Reis Asphalt work for me....if you want your paving perfect: use these guys. the job was to tear out and then repave my large driveway and parking area at the end of September. They were prompt, worked safely/ respectfully....they were professional and were extremely friendly (we have small children who were all over watching them work). Derek really surpassed my expectations for the contract. They were very competitive...not the least expensive but when you see how much better my driveway is when compared to others recently re-done in my area...you would hire them too. It makes my neighbors green with envy. They even took the time to stop there workers to let my toddler inspect their machines. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. I plan on using them again. Very nice local family business.

Reis recently installed our new driveway. They were courteous, efficient, and did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.

I mistakenly went there. Awful!! if I could give them a zero star rating I would. Totally ripped me off. GENERAL PUBLIC BEWARE!!!
I needed about half a ton of 3/4 rock to help my son fix a drain problem. There was no body there to help me load it in my truck. I told the woman in the office that I was in a bit of a desperate situation.
I mentioned that I had some five gallon buckets in my truck and ask I could simply fill a few of them up myself. She charged me $37 for 7 five gallon buckets. About 1/10 of a ton. Later I realized they sell it for $42 ton. I'm not a contractor or landscaper so I was not familiar with the cost of material by the ton.
(( I drove 30 minutes to get there. I would have bought an entire ton for $42 but couldn't because they didn't have somebody to help me. Instead they took advantage of my ignorance and desperation and basically ripped my son off.
I called back the next morning because he was still about 4 buckets short. I explained that he just had a baby and realty couldn't afford another $30 and ask if I could simple grab a few more since he paid for almost a full ton. The woman in the office rudely told me that if he needs more than he would have to pay another $30. Another four buckets would have maybe equal 1/4 of a ton.
Don't buy their family value sale pitch!! I wouldn't recommend you buy there period!!!!!!!!!!!!
