Nice in person, but did not trim Hemlock like he told me he would and In our written estimate. Did not expect Hemlock to be trimmed to trunk just trimmed as in estimate.

Don't know how good they are, because even though their website clearly shows, with a map, that Rochester, MA is *well* within their service area, they refused to come out, saying, "Your not in our service area." It would take them all of...... 15 minutes to reach my house. Wow. Too far for them, I guess. Anyone else get the feeling that half of their 5 star reviews are just friends & relatives? They couldn't be bothered to drive 15 minutes...

Came out and gave a very good quote for what we wanted done. They came out a week later and removed the trees we requested, as well as additional trees we wanted removed. Highly skilled and professional. The office coordination was outstanding. (Disclosure: I am not a relative or friend)

They really helped us out after the recent nor'Easter. A huge tree was on our roof. They came the next day and removed it and trimmed branches so our electricity could be restored. They are bunch really great professional guys.

Highly recommend. We hired them to take down 10 huge pines and grind stumps. They were the most competitive quote and they were in and out in 3 hours. Pretty incredible team over there!

Great team work and on budget! They took down 9 trees in 2 hours, which included using a crane over the house for the trees in the backyard, trimming, chipping and hauling the trees away. And they left the yard cleaner then before they got here. A+ service! Highly recommended!

Great price, service, professional crew and teamwork! I had 19 pine trees over 100' high looming over my house in Pembroke that I feared would snap during the high winds we've been experiencing in April of 2016. I witnessed four trees fall in the woods one day and made the decision to have the ones that threatened my house removed. Called 5 companies to give quotes and South Shore Tree Removal Inc was by far the best deal! The owner Dave called me two days before they were scheduled to arrive to confirm the appointment and find out if I had any questions or concerns. Six man crew and equipment showed up on time and was very professional making sure to mark where the septic system was to prevent damage. Then the show began with a 110' crane, cables, chainsaws, and wood chippers the pine trees were quickly disappearing. Everything was hauled away and the yard was nice and clean with very little evidence they were even there! I would highly recommend hiring Dave and his team to remove your trees!

This was our second time with South Shore Tree and both times we have found them to be extremely professional, very fair in their pricing and to top it off when they are finished you would never know they were here.. the cleanup is perfect. Strongly recommend them.

These guys were by far the best price of all bids in the area. That's not even the best part. They were fast, efficient, and left the place spotless when they left. I had a large number of trees removed and they took all materials and logs with them on the same day. I highly recommend this company.

They took out 7 large oaks and a pine in close proximity to my house and I watched as they made it happen in 2 hours. Amazing process, great team of guys here. These guys are good. From initial communication setting up an estimate, to showing up on time at all interactions, to pricing, to the work crew themselves and their professionalism...they made a huge mess and then busted butt to leave my property, driveway, everything, better than they found it. Couldn't tell they'd been here other than the massive trees they removed for us. And their prices were better than ALL other quotes I'd received from every other local tree company.

South Shore Tree Removal for life!

To begin with the positive. The company provided great service, highly skilled, and efficient! We were very happy with the work they did! However, we were not happy with the lack of transparency!

Our estimate cost included a police detail that we were told would only be needed for the morning approximately 8am-12 noon. When South Shore Tree arrived to begin the job, there was no police detail present. I inquired about this right before the work began and was told that the police department could not accommodate the detail, which is totally understandable. I then asked, "well since they couldn't do it will that come off the price?" The answer was, "No". Which to me was quite odd, so we were STILL charged for the detail. Also to add to the lack of transparency, I called the police department and the detail was requested, but for a "whole day" 8am-3pm which translates to about ~438.00. The job was completed in 2 hours!

It is really unfortunate to learn that a company would do this to a first time customer and I'm quite sure it is happening on a regular basis. So beware you'll be charged an additional few hundred dollars for nothing! It's wrong and really takes away from a company who did do a really great job!

Dave and his guys did a fantastic job Had at least 9 estimates from all the big name companies. Most other guys were either 5 months booked out, or inexperienced or too expensive. My property is very technical why alot of guys didn't have a clue or wouldn't call you back.
Dave knew what to do on the first inspection Got here within a few weeks. They took down 7+ trees within 3 hours. Most trees were 100'+ 3' diameter mega pines. These guys left no mess in the yard at all. Very clean. Had other smaller outfits here before and they would make a mess as they had to come back to pick up piles of debris.
You want a company like Dave that has a nice crane, well operated crew that comunicate with radios and are safe! Highly recommended these guys they were done way before lunchtime. And best price of all my estimates to boot.
