02/25/25 - Shower pan is leaking now. Will need to demo the shower and reinstall, great job Matt. And you never came back to fix the punch list as promised.

Anthony and his crew did a nice job with our kitchen renovation. They were also very responsive when there was a small issue that required follow-up. Thanks Anthony and team. Would recommend!

I was having my front door replaced and there was water damage and wood rot below the door that needed repair before the new door could go in.
Tolman was recommended through a local Facebook page. I reached out and Matt Tolman came out to give an estimate at the first time that I was available.
I was sent a quote later that day with a price to expect unless they found worse damage.
He worked with me and the company that I bought the door from and was able to get me scheduled sooner than expected.
Great work, left area clean and ready for the installation.
Every time I had questions or needed to reach them I was answered so quickly and they were very professional.
If I had known about them sooner and knew it would be this good of service I would have had them do the door install as well.
I will contact them for future projects.

Matt is a great guy, if you are looking for a remodel on your home he is your guy to go to. hands down the best in the state

Great overall experience with Tolman on a complicated renovation of a historic home. Could not offer a stronger recommendation for Gary as a detailed finish carpenter and overall project manager. His attention to detail ensured that the renovation would be an overall success.

The finished product is absolutely stunning. There are aspects of my project that even I could not envision to be as beautiful as they came out. I would have given 5 stars, except it is important to mention that throughout the entire process, the workers they hired were very messy on site. I was promised daily clean up of site, but had to remind them often. The contract written out was very basic and did not include specifics which lead to some confusion later in the process, but that was correctible. I am still very happy with the outcome of the project. The staff both in office and on site were always very polite and kind. Thank you for completing the largest project I have ever been through, walking me through it as much as I needed to be, and for an addition that I will enjoy for many many years.

Matt and his crew were wonderful. This was our first experience with any significant damage to our home and they made the process of demolition snd restoration go smoothly. Costs were reasonable and the workers polite and neat.

These guys are awesome!!! They get my highest recommendation! They have done a number of projects for me over the course of 3+ years including building a screened-in porch, installing a glass shower door, remodeling a bathroom, and replacing a skylight. Everyone I’ve had contact with is a pleasure. Tolman tells you when they are going to show and they are there until the project is finished. They work efficiently to get the job done. Their work is the highest quality of anybody I’ve worked with. If plans change, as they always do on home projects, they let you know. Their craftsmen make creative aesthetic suggestions; on my latest project they made a design choice that vastly improved the finished look. I cannot say enough good things about this team. I’ve enjoyed working with them and will seek them out again for any future projects.

Fantastic company to work with! We are new to the area and finally purchased our forever home after 21 years of military service. We hired this company to do a variety things in our home without knowing them at all or without any recommendations. They were quick to begin work, easy to work with, accommodating, family friendly, and just a pleasure to do business with. Working with Tolman Home Solutions has been very easy. Started on date of our contract. Everyone has been professional, thorough and quick. Still in the middle of our remodal. When the project is done will follow up with a complete review.

Matt and his team were very professional. They came out quickly and did the work with great results! Insulation was installed in the basement and you could feel a huge difference within the first day. The work was done exactly as he described and planned from the consultation. We will definitely use his services for other projects around our home and would recommend to anyone in the area!

We had 2 exterior doors and 2 decks replaced. Gary, Frank and the guys did a fantastic job! Gary is a true craftsman...really knows his stuff. Matt answered right away and showed up on time. His estimate was right on and there were no surprises. The guys stayed til the job was done. Polite men...happy to have them around.

We had a new front porch installed and had nothing but compliments for weeks afterwards. A most excellent job! They also installed insulation into our house and it is a warm home now in the winter. What a difference! Excellent job here in Barre! I would highly recommend these guys for any kind of home improvement that you may be thinking of doing!

I heard about this company from the web. They are also known in this area very well. From the minute I contacted them I had a lot of questions and requests. I own a 1800s home and I have a lot of work to do on it. It’s also my first home. I was simultaneously doing a large amount electrical work. We had a problem with town permits and the project was scheduled for spring. But my roof started leaking and they were able to quickly get it done. It looks very good. I have to say this is a company that if there’s anything more you need or want just ask and they accommodate. They also never make an anxious homeowner feel annoying . They are a truly caring and professional business. I can’t wait to finish more work this spring and look at some other projects. Thank you Mike, Matt Lauren and Ted!

Called Mathew because I needed some work done in my house asap and he came out right away to look at what needed to be done. Find out a a beam literally holding up my kitchen wall was rotted out... He and his team got it done in a short couple of days and now my wall looks straighter and all the rot is gone. A huge thank you to Mathew and his team for being so kind, understanding, professional. I will be giving him a call for my future repairs!
