We are extremely happy with the work that Land Design Associates did on our backyard project. This project included hardscape and softscape areas and our backyard has been beautifully transformed. From forming initial ideas to making changes (some big, some small) during the project, Rebecca, Anthony, Oscar and Gerson were a pleasure to work with. The additional crew working on our project were consistently on time, respectful, and very nice. We would not hesitate to work with Land Design again and we highly recommend them!

We live in Franklin and this summer decided to get some yard design done to update our front and backyards.
LDA helped make our outdoor space so much more beautiful this summer. We had overgrown bushes in the front and needed some garden design in the backyard too.
Nick and his team made sure to take all our ideas into consideration and were very accommodating with every change as we proceeded with the design and plantings.
We highly recommend them to anybody who is looking for a great experience.

We had a great experience working with Jim, Robyn, and the team at Land Design Associates. They really took the time to understand our priorities through the design process, and the installation / planting team was really courteous, thorough, and knowledgeable. We will definitely use them in the future for additional work on a patio and built-in grill. We love sitting in our yard now and enjoying all the beautiful flowers!

I had a great working experience with Land Design Associates and would definitely recommend them to someone looking to do a backyard project. LDA set themselves apart at the outset because of their great customer service and their professional design / build approach. We met a few times on-site at the beginning of the project to define the project scope and goals and to identify what exactly we were trying to achieve. I want to give credit to Steve, Anthony, and to the foreman Hector, all of whom were organized, responsive, and really went above and beyond to put a personal touch on our project. We have had very good experiences with Land Design Associates at our Newton home. We used them for design and installation of rear patio with steps, retaining wall, front and rear plants and lawn installation. From the design phase to selection to installation we had very positive experiences with all their staff. We especially appreciated the feeling that we were working together - especially that they listened well and were amenable to changes as we went. They also went above and beyond to make sure any issues after their work were quickly dealt with.

We had a wonderful experience with the crew at Land Design Associates. When we moved into our new house, Jim helped us design the landscaping, including a brick patio, always listening to our suggestions and offering his insight and expertise. Antonio and his crew then did a fabulous job on the work - they were incredibly fast and efficient yet always careful and responsive. We've been enjoying spending every day outside on our patio and yard and frequently get compliments from neighbors and passersby. Any time we've had questions Antonio has gotten back to us immediately, and even though we're at least 40 minutes from the LDA offices, someone was always ready to come by if we needed anything. Highly recommended!!

Steve Roach and his team at Land Design are a pleasure to work with. We've worked with them for over three years on various projects, including patio and hardscaping, landscaping, and drainage work. Land Design was perfect from start to finish! Especially working with Rebecca Little. She was extremely knowledgeable of what and where to plant in our new front and back yards. Her expertise and dedication to learning about our lifestyle gave us a gorgeous new home we can enjoy year round!

Additionally, Rebecca truly personalized our project with a beautiful fence to keep our dog safe and a hardscape driveway and walk way that is truly out of a magazine. Not to mention a maintenance plan to make sure our house looks well-cared-for from irrigation and clean-up to professional planters that adorn our porch all four seasons.

Very professional, responsive, and capable. Rebecca was great to work with and gave us great designs and high quality drawings with lots of plant options. They were very flexible and worked with us to deliver different phases of the project based on weather and our own schedules. They were very fair in making cost adjustments for some small services that we did not end up needing from the original contract. We will definitely be using them to complete some other landscaping ideas we have very soon! A great example of how to do business!

We hired Land Design Associates to consult and ultimately design/build the landscape for a new home in Milton. The leadership team and project manager were very responsive from the start of the project through completion. We asked Jim’s team to design a comprehensive one acre plan and then divide that plan in stages that we could implement moving forward. Now that we have completed the first phase of the project, we are very satisfied with the quality of construction, perennials, shrubs, and evergreens chosen and continue to receive compliments from neighbors on the overall design and beauty. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and look forward to continuing the project!

We worked with Steve from Land Design Associates and were most impressed by his professionalism and follow through. We had repairs that needed to be made to our pool decking and all of our walkways. Bannos and the team power washed and repaired everything. Our hardscape looks as good as new!! We will for sure be using Land Design Associates again!! Thank you Steve!!

We had a great experience with Land Design Associates. We were looking to install a new backyard patio and upgrade our landscaping on our entire property and was looking for someone to help us with the design and installation. Our landscape designer, Rebecca was super professional listening to our envisioned use of our new backyard space, proposing ideas and incorporating our feedback in the final design. Land Design Associates construction crew were also super professional and efficient. The installation of our patio and landscaping went flawlessly and everything was started and completed on time. We are looking forward to working with the team at Land Design Associates for our future projects!

Worked with Rebecca from Land Design on our backyard pool project and she did an amazing job transforming our outdoor space into our dream backyard. From the very beginning during the design phase to the final walk through Rebecca was such a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive, extremely detailed oriented and she truly listened to what we wanted. She created a beautiful design that took account everything my husband and I wanted while keeping our budget in mind. She was very hands on, coordinated with contractors, reviewed the finish work and made sure the finish project was exactly what we wanted. I would 100% work with land design again and I would ask for Rebecca because she was truly wonderful to work with.

I have never been so happy to leave a review. We knew nothing when we started our search for a landscaper in Dedham. In walks Rebecca…from beginning to end, she has held our hands, offered suggestions, answered many questions, changed our plan multiple times all with patience, understanding and kindness. Rebecca and her team are well educated and knowledgeable about what plants, shrubs and trees would work well in our yard and compliment each other. We had a yard that was pitched incorrectly and they fixed that, as well as transplanting existing shrubs to save money and take advantage of utilizing them somewhere else in the yard. Rebecca was quick to return calls and just show up when she was in the area to check on the progress and make sure everything was going according to plan. I’m happy to give them our highest recommendation and would not hesitate to have them come back for future projects!

I hired Land Design Associates to do the landscaping of my home in Jamaica
Plain after building a new house on the property after a fire. The site was littered with construction material and debris from the fire. The old soil had to be removed with new topsoil added, and new planting beds created. Bushes had to be transplanted. They successfully transplanted a long row of old lilacs bushes that had been on the property for thirty years, and they are thriving in their new places. They built two round stone patios, designed and constructed some pea stone paths, and put up decorative fencing. From the very first meeting with the design consultant I was impressed with the professionalism. You could feel that there was a well coordinated group working together from the start. They were very efficient in the way that they set up meetings and stayed in touch. They were willing to work with my design and gave insightful, helpful suggestions. Each proposal was complete and detailed so that it was very clear what they would be doing each step of the project and the cost. Each new revision was ready within a matter of a day or two, but did not feel rushed. I felt like I was being taken care of by experienced people who knew their jobs, and how to anticipate problems that would come up. The workers who came and did the work were very respectful of the property. Cleaned up every night after themselves. The head of this group was easy to talk to, and had good ideas and useful suggestions as unexpected things came up. They were flexible enough to make some changes along the way. When the crew had to be taken away for two days for another project the project manager was apologetic and upfront about the reason for the delay. I am very happy with the results and would use them again. I highly recommend them. They are an experienced and well oiled group that makes the whole process go smoothly and efficiently. Steve Roach, with whom I worked is an excellent communicator, and kept me apprised of each step along the way.

Working with Land Design Associates was definitely a five-star experience! We worked with Steve from start to finish on our project and are incredibly happy with how everything came out. Steve worked with us through multiple design iterations until we landed at just the right landscape plan, gave us a very thorough cost estimate, and worked with us to figure out how to phase some of the work we want to do. We did most of the work to our home in Norwood in the first phase, which consisted of a beautiful paver patio, refinishing our existing deck, new landscape plantings throughout our yard, landscape lighting, and irrigation. We love how our project came out and can’t recommend Land Design Associates and Steve enough!

We recently worked with Land Design Associates to design and build our front walkway, backyard patio and plantings throughout at our home in Newton.  We had an excellent experience working with them from start to finish.  John returned my initial call very promptly and after our first meeting with Steve, the project manager, he and his team did not disappoint.  Steve is professional, responsive, responsible, communicative and thoughtful.  He remained in touch throughout the entire process; walked us through each design and revision, kept us up-to-date on timing of deliveries and when his team would be working at our home, and up front about pricing.  Each crew member was friendly, hardworking and incredibly talented.  We are so happy with the work they've done and highly recommend this wonderful group of people!

They designed the project with careful attention to detail and feedback, and then executed the project in shorter-than-expected time and higher-than-expected quality.
Project was in Franklin, MA--a backyard renovation, with a new (replacement) deck, new stone patio and walkway, gas firepit, backdoor bistro lighting, new plantings, new sod. I highly recommend them!

Had these guys out for a large yard cleanup up in Andover. They were fast reliable and affordable. Very happy with my choice to go with them and plan to again.
