Eulalio and his crew are simply the best - the best in caring about the work they do, about listening to our requests and about completing jobs in a timely and efficient manner. They are knowledgable, personable and we are happy to give them an excellent review. Our gardens thrive under their care.

I am a garden designer/fine gardener by profession, and I have leaned on Eulalio and his team for several larger projects that were just beyond my scope. They are consummately professional, very detail oriented, and work fast. Since the buck stops with me on any of my large projects with clients, I am very picky when a comes to contracting work. But if I need a competent and knowledgeable team to help me, I’ll use Friends of Gardens in a heartbeat.

I can’t say enough good things about Eulalio and Friends of Gardens. From the jump, Eulalio was so patient and thoughtful in helping me figure out what to put in my garden, and he really considered things I would have missed like light exposure etc. He also worked with me to come up with a plan within my budget which I was so appreciative of. And when it finally came time to do the work - WOW! It looks incredible. The crew was in and out in a day, and I couldn’t believe how quickly they transformed my backyard. I will be a customer for years to come!!!

The team did an excellent job planting everything. We did about 30 plants and everything was installed perfectly on a hot summer day. Everyone was on time, worked extremely hard and were very professional and friendly. Couldn't be happier with the result!

Friends of Gardens trimmed back shrubs and trees from around our house last summer so it could be painted. They worked with our schedule, were flexible and did a great job. It was a pleasure to work with them. I highly recommend their work.

Eulalio and his team are meticulous and take the time necessary to keep our property looking wonderful. Friends of Gardens worked with our landscape architect to develop a plan for our front yard that would be appropriate for our hill and the sun profile and then procured and planted the plants and coordinated with the irrigation company for their installation. The are very skilled at caring for the plants and maintaining the areas. We look forward to continuing to work with them!

Eulalio is extremely honest, pleasant, trustworthy and knowledgeable. He has a creative mind and an artistic eye, and combined with his deep knowledge of plants, shrubs and flowers, he has created gardens at my house that bring frequent compliments from passersby.

Eulalio and his team are fantastic! We've been working with them for 2+ years now: starting with a beautiful garden design that they created, through implementation of "the plan" (with lots of helpful adjustments along the way), and now on to regular, professional maintenance. Through all of this we have been continually impressed with the vision and creativity, grounded in a deep knowledge of plants and local growing conditions, and a gentle attentiveness that is very reassuring. I called Yard and A Half for fall clean up, tree work and advice on ongoing maintenance of the yards and woods at our new house. They were experts, understanding the best approach to maximize the native plants, explained the various plants' flowering cadences and gave solid advice on how to care for the "lawn" that seems to pretty wild at this point. Their service was fast and thorough. It was a pleasure to work with them to get my yard cleaned up and it is heartening to know that it is an employee-owned company treating their employees well. Their employee retention is remarkable with many people having worked there for 20 or 30 years. It felt good to support a company doing the right thing and they were affordable and quality. What's not to love.

The person who I dealt with was Mario Pineda. He is such a professional, patient person and very attentive with any concerns that I might have had. Always called me or emailed me with any questions that I had. A yard and a Half have such a great group of people who work for them and extremely professional and hard working crew!

Geovani Aguilar and his team at A Yard and a Half just created and built the most beautiful water feature for my yard. They finished today, and I could *not* be happier! My pictures don't even begin to show its beauty.

Geovani and his crew were fantastic to work with. They included me in all the decisions -- what shape to make the feature, whether to make a waterfall or have a gentle burble, how to arrange the rocks, what plants to put around it. So I really feel like we came up with something *mine*, rather than something that someone put into my yard. He worked around my schedule, answered my many questions, and was super diligent about leaving everything spotless afterwards.

Oh, and the prices were about a third of what I had gotten quoted by another company. Fully insured, and true professionals. I would gladly recommend Geovani's work to all!

I have used A Yard and a Half Landscaping for multiple jobs, and I cannot speak highly enough of their excellent workmanship, friendly service, and fast turnaround. Initially, they partnered with my landscape designer to regrade my yard and build custom patios with ornamental boulders – transforming an eyesore into a beautiful space for entertaining. They also installed a paver driveway at a great price, backed by a warranty they’ve already honored when an edge settled slightly.

Most recently, they tackled invasive bamboo from a neighbor’s yard that had spread into and across my yard, dislodging pavers from one of the patios and damaging a retaining wall. Almost immediately after I called, they sent a crew to uncover, chase, and remove dozens of massive roots – some three feet deep, up to 30 feet long, and thicker than my forearm—painstakingly working by hand in the cold around existing trees and plants. They rebuilt the patio and retaining wall, cleaned everything up, and left the area looking like new. As a bonus, they even worked with my neighbor to get the bamboo removed from his side of the fence, saving me a difficult conversation.
