I’ve used Steverman for many years and they’ve always been very good but recently I needed to update my smoking CO2 detectors on short notice they did a remarkable job. Highly recommend.
-
I have had James here multiple times. He has always been easy to reach, prompt, helpful and friendly. I always appreciate his work.
-
Always a pleasure working with Jim at Robinson Bros Electric. Punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. Have and will continue to refer this company to my friends, family and co-workers.
-
James has assisted our family electric needs on numerous & unexpected “emergency” occasions with “excellent service always!” We are very fortunate to have him on board!
-
Jim is great...always responsive, quick and reasonable. Helped me sort out many issues and needs in my multi-family in West Roxbury.
-
I hired Jim Robinson to replace our electrical service. He charged me for a permit but never got the work inspected. I now cannot get the rest of my kitchen project inspected because of this open permit. I called multiple times to get this resolved but have never recieved a return call from them. Now i have to cancel the open permit, hire another contractor to pull a new permit and pay again. Stay clear of these guys

They clearly do not care about their customers. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate, it was about a two week wait. He ended up cancelling on me at the last minute. I understand things happen, so I didn't really hold that against him. His next available date was a week and a half later. I thought that was a bit annoying. If you're gonna cancel on someone, you should make them a priority. I live less than 10 minutes from the business, he could have swung by for an estimate any time. Anyway, I rescheduled for the next week. He never showed up. Never contacted me with an apology or explanation. The guy is a jerk and doesn't deserve anyone's business.
-
I have used Robinson Brothers Electric many times and have been extremely pleased with the quality of his work and his professionalism. I have also recommended him to friends and they have become his customers because they were so pleased with his work also

Jim is professional and understanding. He has come twice and I have been very satisfied with his work. He is busy, so it takes time for him to come. But I recommend his services .

Frequently asked questions
-
Is GigoPro free to use?
Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing electricians is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.
-
How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?
Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, actively operating, and actually performs the work it claims. For regulated trades like electrical work, we look for proper licensing, and we automatically hide inactive listings.
-
How do I choose the right electrician?
Start with ratings and recent reviews, then confirm the company is licensed and insured for your specific type of work. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes, not just the bottom line.
-
Can I list my business on GigoPro?
Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.
-
How often is the directory updated?
Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. For example, this page is reviewed and updated monthly.
-
Do I need a permit for electrical work?
Most significant electrical work — new circuits, panel upgrades, rewiring, and solar installations — requires a permit and inspection in most jurisdictions. A licensed electrician handles the permit process and schedules the inspection. Ask about permits before you book.
-
How do I know if my panel needs an upgrade?
Common signs include breakers that trip often, adding major loads (EV charger, solar, heat pump, new kitchen), or still having a fuse box or a 100-amp panel. A licensed electrician can assess your panel and load capacity in a visit.
-
Are electricians on GigoPro licensed and insured?
Electrical work is regulated in every state. Ask each electrician for their license number and proof of insurance before work begins. Professional companies expect these questions and answer them without hesitation.
-
How much does electrical service cost?
Costs vary by job type, region, and complexity — there is no honest single number. Reputable electricians give written estimates after assessing the job, and comparing two or three of them is the best way to understand what your work should cost.
-
Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?
Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the electrician and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs help the next homeowners in your city choose well — and keep listed professionals at their best.
