Incredibly fast response to failed air conditioner during the last heat wave.
-
My A/C went out and they came out next day and got it fixed. I highly recommend!
-
They were quick to come and service my broken heating. They also quickly replaced my other heating system during a snow storm and were excellent

Nashoba Heating does expert installation and service. You can also always count on them in an emergency!

I got a very high estimate. I was told that this was worst case scenario since they didn't know exactly how much work it was going to be. They ensured that I would get charged for only the work performed. They sent 2 guys, spend a total of 4 hours. I got a bill for $2200, no breakdown between materials and labor. I know for a fact that the used minimal material, so that means these guys are charging over $300 per hour. I think you can find better options elsewhere where they actually tell you their hourly rate.

Nashoba Heating and cooling is always, quick, responsive and able to do whatever is needed quickly and efficiently. Al is always great, from installing the new system to maintaining and servicing the system as needed. This company is the real deal. Nothing but praises.

Nashoba did a great job when our heater stopped working. They needed to order a part for us and while we had to wait for it they lent us an extra part that they had. We won’t work with any other company because the service couldn’t get any better with Nashoba.

Note: This review is related to the customer service experience only. We have no issues with the quality of the work itself.
We purchased a new build that had our HVAC installed by Nashoba H&C. A few months after moving in, we wanted a humidifier so we contacted an Aprilaire supplier who did the work but could not do the plumbing. We hired someone locally to do the plumbing which was a mistake as the work was sub-par. This is where our first experience with Nashoba H&C started. I reached out asking if they could take a look and, upon arrival, was told immediately that any work that is not performed will null-void any labor warranties. Furthermore, I was told that I was lucky that I called when I did because I had only two more days to register the appliance, or I would have missed a 10-year warranty on parts! The main point here - absolutely no communication from Nashoba H&C that 1) appliances required registration within a certain timeframe 2) any work in or around the system would void out the warranty. Again, all good things to be told (in a much nicer way) beforehand.
A few months later, we wanted to move some exhaust piping as it was blowing into our firepit area. I contacted the developer who told me he saw no reason that we couldn't do it. I then called Nashoba H&C who told me that I would need to have a plumber do the work. So, I called a certified plumber (in the union) who did the work for me. Unfortunately, we started hearing noises a few days later so I called Nashoba H&C again. I was on conference calls at the time so I asked my wife to show them the issues. I won't mention what was said as I wasn't there but I will say that my wife was upset by his disrespectful comments. The next day, I called Nashoba H&C in an attempt to work through this issue and asked to speak with the GM or owner. The person who answered said he was a part-owner named 'Sam' and he knew who I was. I began telling him that it was Nashoba H&C that told me that I needed to hire a plumber which is when "Sam" immediately became defensive. His attitude was one of a child where he would cut you off and speaker over you to defend himself. I tried to remind him that I was a customer of his and to please hear me out of which "Sam" responded "wrong, you're not a customer anymore" and then hung up. I called 3x afterward but no one responded.
As our developer said, "I can't have vendors that help build my homes yell at my customers". Enough said. Thankfully, we are very happy with our new HVAC company who knows a thing or two about communication and professionalism.
One last point. There is a person there named Harriet who was truly great. She obviously understands how to speak to customers and I appreciate her efforts. -
At the peak of summer our cooling system bailed on us. So I decided to change the entire HVAC. Nashoba gave me the best quote, 10% lower than five others. Every other vendor mentioned they are not available for 15 to 30 days but Nashoba team gave me an appointment with I. 48 hours and installed in 6 hours. Very professional and elegant.
Harriet coordinated very well. Thank you all for your swift response. -
My heating system died Friday, 2/3/2013, the coldest day of the year, two hours after another company came in try to fix the noise but did not and when I called right away about heating system completely died and was told they won't be able to find part till Monday when office open. I called Nashoba heating on Saturday morning but their office closed with a number for emergency. So I called, a lady answered, asked a few questions, then she called around and found the motor in another town, sent a technician to get the part and one to my house to get ready. When they took apart the furnace, found that the wheel also broken and completely shattered so they went out again to get second part. After few hours, my heating system is back working quietly and no more noise. Thank you Harriet, Harry and Tailor for your professional and excellent work!

Nashoba Heating & Cooling is the company I wholeheartedly recommend for heating and cooling. Pete is the competent, friendly and considerate owner of the company. He gave me excellent advice and offered me a system that makes ecological as well as economic sense. The price for the system was very reasonable, and Pete was more than fair regarding price adaptation when I took a bit more time than originally planned for my decision, due to other priorities that had come in.
Pet and his team, including Harriet, were always approachable and followed up fast. Knowing to be in such good hands was a pleasure and easement, given the extent and cost of replacing two HVAC systems by two gas furnace & heat pump combinations.
The work was executed flawlessly by the team. One could see the joy and pride they all applied in their work. Also, things were well explained. The system works great and was installed carefully and with attention to details. The workplace was left in a cleaner state than I had prepared it. -
I just finished installation of 2 heat pumps and associated ducting in my (26 years old) house. Both my wife and I were dreading this project because of its anticipated scale, especially ducts installation, and its expected disruptions. The job was big, but the anticipated disruptions didn't really materialize. Credit for that goes to Pete and his crew. They did an excellent job. They were professional, efficient, clean and very careful when working in the house. They finished the job on time, always a big plus with such big project, and where very responsive throughout to any requests they could realistically accommodate. My kudos to Harriett at the office who made sure that all paperwork and permits were dealt with, and to Allan, who beside knowing everything there is to be known about these systems, was very patient in sharing some of that knowledge with a neophyte like me. I would recommend these guys to anyone thinking of installing such systems.

Nashoba Heating and Cooling did an awesome job replacing our furnace. Our upstairs furnace broke, a new furnace and smart thermostat were installed within 4 days, last week.
Harriet gave a fair estimate and coordinated the work very efficiently. She did make sure to register the new product with the manufacture as soon as the installation was completed and helped in submitting Mass Save and Trade-in Rebates promptly.
Excellent company and all starting from Harriet to the technicians Alan, Taylor, Steve and others were very pleasant to work with. -
Two experiences to share that led me to my rating.
1) originally misquoted me for the tune-up of an air conditioner unit and a heat pump. They blamed it on the tech being new and offered a $20 discount (minimal) for misquoting and not being able to fulfill the price. At this point, I had no choice but to accept the additional cost. servicing was fine. Didn't have any issues with my units all summer.
2) made an appointment many months in advance to have my 2x oil furnaces tune-ups. 10 mins prior to 8am, received a text that they wouldn't be able to come out and we would need to reschedule. We had moved multiple things around to be able to keep the appointment. Called to see next steps, but was pushed to the back of the line (earliest was November) and no further accommodation for the inconvenience of having to reschedule and move more things around. Ultimately ended up cancelling this appointment and going with someone else.
