I couldn’t be more impressed with the professionalism and results from Metro Detroit hydro jet. From the moment I called, their team was responsive, knowledgeable, and honest about what to expect. They arrived right on time with top-of-the-line equipment and took the time to explain every step of the process.
The hydro jetting itself was incredibly effective — our main line hadn’t drained this smoothly in years! They removed years of buildup in no time, and unlike other companies that just do a quick snake, these guys actually cleaned the pipes thoroughly. You can tell they truly care about doing the job right the first time.
Pricing was fair, service was efficient, and the technicians left everything spotless. It’s rare to find a company that combines skill, technology, and great customer care like this one.
If you’re dealing with slow drains, recurring clogs, or just want your system maintained properly, don’t hesitate — call them. You’ll be glad you did! -
I don't know if this is the right location, but the phone number on my invoice and the number listed for this location on Roto Rooter's website match. I had a sewage backup in my two basement floor drains and utility sink. Roto Rooter came out and attempted to snake and jet the sewer lateral. The technician was not able to fully clear the line so his foreman came out to camera the lateral. They said that a portion of the cast iron sewer under my basement floor had a "blockage" that was making it difficult for them to get through and that once the lateral left my house, they ran into another "impassable blockage". They told me I would need my basement floor dug up and a portion of the cast iron removed and replaced, and that I would need my yard dug up where the "blockage" was to have that portion of sewer removed and replaced as well. They quoted me $13,608 for this work, and charged me a total of $1,052.71 for the work they did. I had a second contractor come out and perform the same snaking and camera, and they said there was no damage anywhere in any of the pipe and they were able to clear the "impassable blockage", which was some roots. The second contractor charged me $330 for the same amount of work.

Don't ever use this company. They over charge you and then try to fix something break it and then make you call them again because it's still leaking. To charge you again. Don't ever waste your money. You call there to talk to someone and get the run around and they never call you back. Don't waste your money call anyone else

This company did a great disservice to my family this last week. I have two small children, one with a very rare disease and elderly animals. My family was left in the cold far too long after having paid in full for the job.
My gas was disconnected due to a leak on Wednesday. On Thursday your company was hired to fix the leak. The 24/7/365 have your back in an emergency company.
I was told the job was completed and it was paid for in full. I had to drain my special needs sons SSI account to pay for these repairs as we were without heat in well below freezing temperatures.
My local energy company returned to restore the gas and said it was still leaking.
I called you guys back and informed you the job was not done. They said they would send someone the NEXT DAY! UNACCEPTABLE I told them, the tech assured me he'd come back tonight of there was an issue. They eventually got him back to my house that evening.
He couldn't figure it out. He requested from his home office an additional set of hands and eyes for the job. During his conversation with his home office, the home office wanted to know how much the job paid. It must not have been enough because when he returned the next day he wasn't sent with any help.
I had to assist him with parts of the job. My personal tools and household chemicals were used, not theirs. I had to leave my kids (4&5) upstairs in a freezing house while I assisted the tech.
I wouldn't have minded lending a hand for something small. But after they refused to send him help and they had already collected 100% of the payment? Did I receive an employee discount for my time and parts and labor? Nope.
Tech left again Friday night with no idea what was wrong. He tells me he'll return tomorrow. (Saturday).
I called him this morning and he tells me they are keeping him back today but they will be in contact with me to send someone else to look at it. They didn't call.
A short time later, my wife called them and they told her they WOULD NOT be out today, but instead first thing Sunday morning.
At that point I tried to call them. However I called the wrong Roto Rooter branch as the company who is the BIGGEST plumbing company in the U.S. doesn't have a system that connects. These people insisted I had no business with Roto-Rooter and didn't service my area. They made no attempt to locate the proper branch.
Once I did find the proper branch I called them and insisted they come back out today as they advertise 24/375 in an emergency they'll be there. This qualifys as an emergency when I have no heat and we've been in a cold snap.
They FINALLY sent another tech out Mid afternoon Saturday. He was able to easily catch what was overlooked. This could have been done two days earlier had this company supported their employee and given him requested help. What a nightmare to deal with these people
The tech overlooked putting something back together. That's a human error and doesn't bother me. Things happen.
How unprofessional to leave not only your customer hanging but the tech as well. He was trying his hardest and we all miss things, but you guys dropped the ball BIG TIME and put my family in direct danger. -
Great experience with them! Kaleb came out very fast and fixed our problem! He was very efficient and polite! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
