If you are on the fence about using Main Drain go with them you will not regret your decision. I interviewed several companies and Main Drain was the only ones that were straight forward without a lot of fast talk. They quickly located leak under slab foundation told me what the process for repair was and executed my job with great professionalism. This repair was in my kitchen where I have ceramic tile floors they were sure to minimize damage to my floor and complete the repair. Can I also toot the horn for how clean this plumbing team is! I've used plumbers who make a huge mess and just leave it, they took time to block off work area to minimize the spread of the concreate dust in my kitchen which truly meant a lot. They found another leak in the process of repair and took care of that one as well. Extremely professional crew and owner. I highly recommend.

These guys were great! Repaired my line that was leaking from the kitchen to the basement and even changed out my old sink with a new one for a very reasonable price. Professional and reliable. I'm happy

Outstanding. Professional, call at 6pm. There at 6:45pm. Sean's crew answered my questions, addressed the issues, gave advise for further/future repairs. I will be calling the morning to set up my summer cleaning. And price was extremely fair. Was never about the money, just wanted it down correctly. Which it was.

I called on a Sunday- and even though the owner, Sean, was on vacation, he answered my call (Thank you, Sean!) and had Matt out here today! Very professional guys, here on time, very polite, and got the job done in no time! They will be my "go to" guys for ALL future plumbing needs!

Fifteen years ago, we spent thousands of dollars with another company to have a section of our pipe replaced, only to have it back up again in 3 months. Since that "repair" we have had continual problems and backups. Main Drain is the only company that has cleaned it out and have it last. We just had them out again for maintenance after 1 year because we have never gone this long without service and I was afraid it would back up again. They spend the time to do it right. I can not say enough good things about Main Drain. They do quality work and are honest people.

Cant say enough good things about Sean's customer service and quality work . I live in an area where tree roots become an issue every couple of years . Sean has been to my house 2 times previous to this visit and always came out the same day and made sure everything was done correctly and neat when he left . This time when I called the drains were backing up into the basement and it happen to be the day that all of Macomb county was under a flood warning and thought there is no way he will have time to come out today . I called him and as I thought he said he was extremely busy but asked what issue I was having and how bad it was . His response without hesitation was dont worry , I will 100% make it out today . Again I cant thank Sean enough for such amazing customer service and saving me from making an insurance claim . If you have any type of plumbing issues I would recommend you call Main Drain first !!! .

We have used Main Drain several times over the years as those who live in Berkley know, the numerous tree roots and older infrastructure cause issues. Every time, Sean and his team have been very professional. They are quick to respond and have gone above and beyond to fix things - even coming over on short notice after regular work hours.

Sean’s team are more than just professional, they are good people. They are easy to talk to and are willing to explain all the details of the problem, potential solutions, and how to prevent it from reoccurring. We have a finished basement where our kids routinely play so they took extra care in how they worked down there.

We would highly recommend them to anyone!!

This evening I was called over my Aunt's house in Berkley. She said she had a little water in her basement, so I went over the clean it up. Upon entering her basement u saw about 3inches of standing water across her basement and around 5inches at the drain. I tried to snake it out myself and couldn't get it. So I called Main Drain and they said they would be there in 15min and they were there exactly 15min later. There price was unbeatable and there service was hand down the best I've ever seen. They explained exactly what they were doin step by step and were done in under 30min. They were very professional and had the best equipment for the job. My Aunt already said she is a lifetime customer!!! They fellas for the awesome job on my Aunts house!!!

Sean and his team are respectful, professional, and get the job done. We've had a couple 911's and they took care of us straight away even though we're not geographically close to him. We've used their services for 7+ years and wouldn't think of using anyone else.

I was able to do business with Sean from Main Drain today for the first time. Sean was professional from the start, prompt and had great communication. There is no doubt I’ll be using Sean for any future issues!

Amazing customer service!! Fast, friendly, and their prices can NOT be beat! I called Main Drain around 6pm this evening for a clogged sewer pipe. Initially, they we're going to come out in the morning. Called back to say they would make it tonight. They just left. No ridiculous extra charge for a late night service. I cannot stress this enough, call these guys first. You will not be disappointed!

I wish my review could be as positive as the others. My sewer was backing up into my basement. Main Drain came out to clear up the drain. It was getting late by the time they partially cleared the problem. The owner promised they would come back the next day to finish the job. (However I am the idiot who gave them money for a job partially done. Call me over-excited that my family of 5 could shower without flooding our basement.)

I have texted and called back and forth with Sean since May 14 (today is May 29). He keeps promising to come or to send someone to help, and then nothing. My sewer is backing up again, I am out $125, and I still have to pay someone else to come back out to finish the job. So disappointed.

Apparently I am the only person with a bad experience. If you go with this company I hope your experience is better than mine.

UPDATE: Sean contacted me within a few hours of my review. His team came out and cleared up the problem later that day. I can confidently change this review from 1 star to 3 stars, given that the company did eventually respond and get the job done.

Initially responsiveness great. Replaced hot water heater relatively quickly. I had to leave prior to them finishing the job and paid them like another reviewer had done.

The pipe that they had “sweated” is leaking and has been since the day they left!! I called them immediately the next day. They will not return calls or texts (over a week now). I will have to have someone else come out to finish something that is super simple even though it’s what I paid for to begin with. Completely unacceptable.

Very honest business owner! Professional employees. He was upfront with his pricing and stuck to it. I called late in the day and they were very willing to come out that same night after another job...I had to call and ask them to come the next day because I was tired. The owner has compassion for his customers, treats you like family. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a plumber.

Highly recommend this company for plumbing repairs! I had a plumbing emergency in my home and it was repaired the same day I called! I have 2 bathrooms where both toilets were clogged and overflowed, plus the sewer backing up into my finished basement. Sean and Matt were able to fix a major problem with my plumbing quickly and efficiently. I can't say enough good things about this company. I will continue to use this company if I should have any future issues and recommend them to anyone I know. So happy with my results!

I needed a plumber this evening around 8 pm. After calling about 8 other plumbers I was beginning to feel very discouraged. They were all either rude or quoted really high prices. When I called Main Drain, it was like a breath of fresh air. The owner was so nice , quoted a great price and had a guy out to my home within the hour. Once he arrived, he was fast, knowledgeable and professional. I hope I don’t need another plumber anytime soon, but if I do, I will definitely call Main Drain again. Great customer service and wonderful prices.

I recently had a sewer backup issue and was recommended to use Main Drain. Sean and his team were very professional, courteous and cost competitive. They will be my "go to" guys for my plumbing needs for years to come. Highly recommended.

I have had Main Drain to my house twice and will never call anyone else! Very professional and excellent work! Sean and his team are the best! They show a sense of urgency and understanding to your situation!

When Sean and his team could not fix my issue immediately, he returned the next day with more equipment, took care of the problem and charged me for a simple clean out. Initially we thought the problem was a much bigger issue, he had an opportunity to take advantage but did not and that goes to show what kind of man he is. Honest and hard working. Highly recommend!

Edit: Upon Sean's response I went back and checked my facts and Sean was correct that he did not scope the line. I forgot that I had previously had the line scoped twice as a part of the inspection process of purchasing my home and I was mistaken that Sean's company had done one of them. However, the footage from this event was supplied to Sean and was felt to be sufficient to provide an estimate.

Also, it was always understood that the cement was to be my responsibility. The reason it took three months, is because it is recommended that cement not be poured in cold weather.

Original Review: I had my sewer line replaced from my house to the street in Berkley through Sean Adair and Main Drain Sewer & Repair in the Winter of 2014. They had 5 star ratings and were local, so I figured it was an easy choice. Their initial quote was $3200 for a sleeve. It ended up being $4500, after they had encountered an issue with where my sewer line drops to the city line (even after they scoped the line with a camera before their initial quote). In my opinion, they should have seen this issue if you had put a camera all the way down the pipe to the main line, like they said they did. I had to replace the cement on my own and Sean basically harassed me to get it done because the city was withholding a bond for the sidewalk being torn up. Not really my fault if he waited months to give me a quote from his concrete contractor, combined with the fact that you can't pour concrete in the winter if you want it done properly. Sean's cement guy quoted more than twice as much as a different local contractor. It was a terrible experience for a new homeowner. Would definitely NOT recommend.

Awesome service. They ran a little late, but communicated that clearly and were very responsive to both calls and texts. We called them because we thought a few of our drains were clogged, but it just had to do with how the water flowed over the drains. Rather than charge me for a service I didn’t need they just provided consultation and made some recommendations for the future. Will definitely be calling them for any future needs.
