Jason and team did a great job this summer cutting/trimming and an excellent job with fall clean up. Very reasonably priced.

This company keeps trying to bill me even though I have never hired them. Last year they tried to bill me for lawn cutting they could not have provided because our yard was torn up. On top of it, I never hired them the year before. Total crooks from what I have experienced.

Our community contracted with DeLong for snow removal. In 30+ years of working with snow removal companies DeLong is the worst. The destruction of landscaping caused by their plow trucks is unacceptable. I paid for snow removal to be done by hand on my driveway and they never got it right. Not only that, but they used their plow trucks to push snow up my driveway and piling it in my yard, which caused my grass to die. Repairs in the spring were promised but never done. DeLong also sub-contracts some/all of the work and has no control over the workers. Run don't walk away from this company!

DeLong Landscaping fixed our back yard in Aug. 2022. We had drainage issues and would have standing water much of the spring. There were times we could not mow the back yard until May or June because it was just too wet. We had areas that were all moss because it was just too wet for too long.

Jason and his crew graded & removed low spots, installed multiple French Drains, added a mulch garden in the back, added stone landscaping around our above ground pool, planted sod, planted a few Arborvitae and some landscape grasses around an electrical box.

Now we have had a lot of rain in the spring of 2023 and there is no standing water and we can easily access the back yard not long after it stops raining. We have even been able to mow the lawn multiple times and it is still April. It is so nice to be able to actually use our back yard.

I definitely recommend DeLong Landscaping.

Rude drivers. When asked to turn off a truck that was sitting and idling next door to my home for over 15 mins, the driver replied he could do whatever he wants. Super inconsiderate, I was on an overseas work phone call and did not appreciate the interruption or the attitude. Lawn mower noise, weed wacker noise, snow blower noise I understand, sitting and idiling in the middle of a fall day is completely unnecessary and thoughtless.

Nice reminder to NEVER do business with a company whose employees state they can do whatever they want.

We keep getting invoices for services that we did not request or receive. Called and emailed several times with no response

Annoying

We hired Modern Tree & Landscape for a landscaping project at our home in Birmingham. couldn’t be happier with the results. Michael came out for the for the original conciliation he listened to what we want and made some amazing suggestions. About a week later he sent out a landscape design to help us visualize the project. The team that came out to install the Arborvitaes hydrangeas and some perennials were professional, hardworking, and paid attention to every detail.

If you’re looking for a reliable landscaping company, I highly recommend Modern Tree & Landscape. Our yard looks incredible and we’ve already had several neighbors ask who did the work!

We have used Mike and his team for several years now, both for landscape design and now annual maintenance. He just wrapped our 2026 service and the yard looks amazing. New mulch, aeration, new spaded edges, all shrubs and plants trimmed up and general spring clean up. Very fair pricing as well. Cannot recommend enough!

Big thanks to Modern Tree and Landscape and owner Michael for the professional replacement of a few dead mature boxwoods throughout several different hedges at our home. The new shrubs matched in extremely well, the work was clean and efficient, and the entire process was easy from start to finish. Really appreciate the attention to detail and quality work.
