Absolutely satisfied with the quality of work that Matt and his team provided for our family cottage! They installed a paver patio, a stone walkway and a large asphalt parking area. We had drainage problems on both sides of our cottage when there was heavy rain. Matt graded the area and installed drainage away from the house and solved our problem. Any future landscape needs we might have we will be calling Spaans Landscape Management.

Great Company. Matt is easy to work with and comes with a family orientated spirit. Employees are knowledgeable and are not afraid to ask questions to help make the project exactly what you want. Employees dress professionally. Equipment is newer and seems well maintained as well.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Matt. We were trying to get a retaining wall up before we put in a fence and he got us right in the line up. I felt like he was very thorough when he came out to discuss the project and he was great at communicating when he was planning to start and finish. His work was precise, well thought out, and timely. I would recommend Matt to anyone in the Grand Rapids area and look forward to using him again on our next project.

Wow! I hired Spaans to re-landscape my commercial building and from start to finish it was just excellent. Here’s what Matt and his team did well and why I would hire him again and recommend to everyone
1. Responded quickly to my initial email
2. Upfront explained that he would love the work but couldn’t start for 4 months
3. Came out when he promised to look at the project
4. Provided detailed quote quickly after visit
5. When the project came in a little higher than I had budgeted, he gave me ideas of where to trim to get the project in line with my numbers
6. Followed up when I flaked on making a decision
7. Asked for a reasonable deposit
8. Emailed to ask if he could start the job a month early because of an opening
9. Emailed when weather delayed the project by one day
10. Showed up on time as promised with all the equipment and got right to work
11. When they accidentally damaged a sprinkler head, he called my sprinkler service to arrange it to be fixed without even bothering me about it
12. Cleaned up everything perfectly
13. Made sure that I was 100% happy with the end result

I’ve had such trouble with contractors promising to do all the above but Matt and his team actually DID it.

We are so happy that we had Matt and his crew do our landscaping project. We had a great experience with his crew. We had an area that had runoff problems and was very unsightly, and they came up with a very nice solution. In addition, they were just a bunch of very nice guys, and they worked very fast. We especially appreciated the collaborative approach which Matt used during the work to finalize many of the project details. At the completion of the work, they did a nice clean up job. They even left us with extra grass seed and straw. We highly recommend them.

Matt and his crew just completed a landscapping project for us. He discussed the project with us, providing a drawing/picture of what the project would like including an estimate. I don't know what has happened to him because I used him several times in the past and never had a problem.

He has done great work for big names like Converse, Gap, Nike, Firestone and many more. All the work I've seen done by Ochodnicky Electric has been great work. I would recommend this company.

Tried to call him about an emergency on a Sunday and flat out refused to help without a call from the Park where my mother lives despite a person in the house being on oxygen. Made the statement "I am sure you mom is a good person, but I have done work in that area but never got paid, and I don't want that to happen again." Basically accused my mother of calling to have work done but then won't pay him. Not a person I will ever deal with or recommend.

Jack and his employees provided outstanding service after I had purchased a house with a bad electrical set up from the previous owner. When I first called, Jack was extremely knowledgeable on the phone and laid out my options for me. He sent out some of his guys to diagnose the problem officially the same day and everything was taken care of within a couple of days. Needless to say, I am very happy with the outcome. I would recommend this company and definitely will be using them again for any future electrical problems.

AJ from Estep was awesome. We called on Friday night after 6pm during holiday season. He was at our house in under an hour. Super kind and professional. Accurately diagnosed the problem and was fixed it right away. He was extremely reasonable with his prices and went way above and beyond. We will be contacting him for help for all our future work.
