Tree reviews in Detroit, Michigan

Didn't hire them (yet), but watched them remove a large tree at a neighbor's house. Professional, fast, careful, and they cleaned up everything. You couldn't tell they'd been there. All their trucks looked new, no rust buckets. Asked for a quote while they were here, which felt fair. When I can afford the job, they'll be who I hire to do my six large trees that badly need trimming.

John and his team were very efficient completing a big project. They were professional, experienced and very well coordinated. They did an excellent job. Everything was cleaned up nicely and we are very pleased with the work they did. Highly recommended

We lost a pear tree in one of the MANY terrible storms this summer. They responded quickly to my messages, communicated via text which I prefer, came out to the house within 24 hours and completed the tree removal including stump. Nice cleanup, on time, professional, fair price, great communication = AWESOME!!

They cut the trees did a good job. But left ruts all over my yard, said we will come out and fix it never did. I called several times and got yeah we will be there can’t Eve walk in my yard without fear of falling.in a hole or rutte . Need to get a truck load of ditlrt to fix this. Not worth it

I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. I asked them to leave the stump low and flat when they removed my large maple so I could use it to decorate. It came out better than expected. They even took the time to put my garden gnomes up that had blown over in the wind a few days before. They spent time explaining exactly what they were doing, and did a great job cleaning up before they left. Will definitely use them again.

They were awesome, super professional, they really know what they’re doing and took all the care to leave my house the way it was as much as possible. Also had the best price out of 3 quotes I got. Thank you!

Jose and his team were wonderful from the quote to the actual job - professional, on-time, insured, quick, cleaned up, etc. We had two other companies also come out and give quotes. Jose was the only one to show up when he said he would to give the quote, explained the job thoroughly, gave suggestions/educated us on the process then provided us with a fair quote for the job. Day of the job, they were in and out in under 2 hours (removed 2 shaggy pine trees, stumps and a 3rd old stump left behind by prior owner). I would highly recommend/refer Jose and Tri-County Tree & All Firewood for any tree removal services you may need.

Jose and his guys were extremely professional. Took down a three story tree feet from my house. The job was quick and the work quality! would highly recommend them. My neighbors were even impressed and got them to come over and take care of some of their trees.

I called them to get a free estimate for a tree removal. They made us sign a the quote estimate and did not tell us that if you cancel their service that they will charge you 15%. It's in small writing at the bottom. I found their price was the highest. I told them how you can sleep at night.. Please do not use them... They did not do nothing to think they will get almost $800.

John Lopez and his team were extremely efficient and provided no excuses like Champion Tree of Warren and another company that said they couldn't do the job after some B.S. excuses. Lawn Rangers completely ghosted after giving a quote. I do NOT recommend these companies. Tri-County was efficient, responsive, and got the job done in two hours! Superb! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend Tri County for your tree work. Very professional crew, easy to work with. Explained everything they were going to do. Cleaned up and did not leave a mess in the street like some other companies have done when trimming trees.

I can't give these guys enough stars. Removed a large spruce that fell on the fence during storm.
Arrived the morning after we called. $2100 less than other quote. Less than 1/3 the cost.
They worked very quickly and efficiently. Done in 1 hour - leaving everything nice and tidy.
Definitely give your business to Tr-county.

3 calls later and still no response from this company. When I called this morning no one picked up and the mailbox was full. Each time I called they said they would get back to me and have not.
Update: I contacted this company today because the original reason I had them out a year ago was to trim a tree that was hanging over my neighbors driveway. Although they did a good job originally (reason for 3 stars) I specifically asked how long before I would have to have it done again because it didn’t seem like enough was cut. I was assured it would last 3-5 years. Well, the tree has grown back already only a year later. When I told them this today I was asked to provide a photo, which I did. No response from them. I will keep calling but I am extremely dissatisfied that they didn’t even respond. I paid a lot of money and I don’t feel like they did what I needed done and asked for! In fact, when I told them today it’s already hanging over my neighbors driveway I was told that’s my neighbors problem. No kidding…that’s not the point! I paid for them to do a job they assured me would last 3-5 years and it hasn’t.
Edit to respond to owner below who decided (after 5 months) to claim they replied to BBB. First off, not sure why owners wouldn’t take my many phone calls and try to resolve 5 months ago! Secondly, here’s the response I received from BBB;

Jose and the crew were very professional. They arrived on time and did all the work as expected in a timely and effective manner. They were very polite and did not leave until we were completely satisfied with the job. I definitely recommend this company and will be doing work with them again in the future.

I am so pleased with the service I received from this company. They were always so polite and professional on the phone and always returned my calls. The crew that came out to trim my pear tree did a phenomenal job! They took down at least ten feet and shaped it beautifully. They were on time and very professional. Cleaned everything up before they left. I would definitely recommend them!

I called for an estimate on Tuesday. Had other estimates also. Jose showed up on time, made suggestions that made sense to me, while others asked," so what is it you want?". While others told me what they could not do, Jose told me how it needed to be done. While others said" that fence post has to come out and there will be grade damage". Jose said if I have to climb it so be it. Concerned with the prices of the other estimates I braced for the worst as he was not taking down any fencing or talking of grade damage. His estimate seemed very fair. I called to see how soon we could get this done, most said two to three weeks, Jose said see you tomorrow between 1 and 2, confirmed in the morning, and then called to let me know the 2 jobs he had booked in the morning went faster then expected and would be a half hour ahead of schedule. They showed up, were fast, efficient, and did an excellent clean up. Had no problem with me adding work as we went, and his price still fell in line with what others would charge for the minimal work.I have several homes, and now would not bother calling anyone else for tree work.My 100 year old oak tree looks both refreshed and I feel safe sitting under it. Thanks again to Jose and his crew.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They delivered wood to my next door neighbors house and the truck driver was so inept, he backed up Over My Walkway and cracked 2 cement squares. I made a claim to their office and they just ignored me. I called Police but they said civil matter. They are CROOKS.

They came out quick with a very fair estimate and approximate date of service. Called a few days before service with date and time. Crew of 6 showed up eager to get started. Had 2 overgrown lilac bushes taken down and stumps were removed along with a huge random tree that grew behind garage into fence line. Branches damaged garage, it pushed on power lines to house. There were three big trucks and everyone immediately started working they knew what they were doing they took care of it and within less than 90 minutes everything was taken care of cleaned up the street cleaned up. Very professional and polite crew. Very straight forward with job and explanation on what was happening. I highly recommend them.

This is the second time we have used their services. They are very professional and incredibly fast. Two huge spruce trees cut, stumps ground, and yard cleaned up completed in less than 45 minutes. Fidel and his crew were fascinating to watch; they were so coordinated and swift. They even looked like they were having fun! Pricing was very fair and far below other quotes we got. Thanks again for you great service.

Easy simple process for getting firewood delivered. My only complaint is I was not made aware that only cash is accepted. Other than that very happy with service and will have cash ready for next time.

Although their price was the highest quote of the 3 companies that came out and provided quotes, I went with this company because they accommodated me by accepting a credit card. Also, Their customer service was solid until the job actually took place.

With that said, when the crew came out, their foreman mentioned immediately I got a great deal and asked questions about the job being bid too low. Before starting, we went over the job again and the instructions were simple. Trim the tree branches hanging over the house. Their foreman had a laser pointer and pointed out the branches he’d be trimming. Everything was clearly communicated between both parties.

45 minutes in, I received a knock on my door from the foreman asking for more money or he couldn’t finish the tree trimming. He insisted that he needed more money to finish the final branches and chose to leave the branches he wanted me to pay extra for. The clearly communicated job was only completed to about 80%.

Integrity is impacted even more so because they failed to disclose damages. Although they weren’t expensive mistakes, they smashed my hose reel beyond repair, broke a paver on my walking path, and left massive ruts in my front yard from parking their F650 bucket truck on my lawn.

The crew was set up and gone within roughly, ONE hour and I paid $875.

I do not recommend choosing this company for your tree trimming needs because of my experience with their questionable integrity.
