Chris, Ben, Traven and Team Lotus did an excellent job installing 2 drain pipes from the front of our home out to the lawn, as well as installing a limestone retaining and decorative wall and mulch to finish the look. The drains have been very effective at moving water away from our home and the clean look is great while we decide the landscaping/final plants. Would highly recommend Lotus for others in the Ann Arbor area

I have been more than pleased with the entire project from the beginning. Lauren designed a fabulous change to our front yard. Scott was an exceptional carpenter building the deck and Matt and Zeke worked very hard choosing and planting the best plants. Everyone was very professional and responsive to any and all of my questions. Five stars plus! FYI……deck building not on the list of services and should be!

Used their system to request an arborist to come out. Got an automated reply stating I'd be contacted in a few days. A week went by without hearing anything. I replied to the email, they asked if June 4th at noon would be fine I replied yes. No one showed up. I replied to the email again and never heard back.

We just love our small blue flagstone nook in our back yard. Lotus Garden designed and installed a simple small flagstone project for us in an unused and “hard to grow anything in” spot! We use this cool little space all the time now to relax in the shade. A great job and fantastic people to work with!!!

I’ve used Lotus for two landscaping projects and both went great. From design to execution they are top notch. I love the way they incorporated more natural materials to meet my yard’s aesthetic. The crews are highly skilled and pay great attention to details (you can even tell they carefully chose rock patterns and placements). My outside has truly transformed to a place I want to have people enjoy with me.

We recently had our patio and pond area rebuilt, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The quality of work is outstanding — every detail was given thoughtful attention, and the final outcome looks even better than we had envisioned.

The team was incredibly flexible throughout the entire process. They were patient as adjustments needed to be made along the way and took the time to explain options and help us make decisions without ever making us feel rushed.

I had a great experience working with Lotus. When Lauren and I met initially to talk plans she really listened to what I wanted. Her drawings brought my dream rock garden to life. When the start date neared, Ben, my project manager, came out with Lauren to talk things over. I appreciated that. My main crew was Reed and Tyler. They were awesome…hard working and personable. If I requested a slight variation with the plans, they were amenable and willing to please. Reed communicated when they would be here and when they wouldn’t. Photos were taken and Ben was able to see the progress on a daily basis. Ben also stopped on site to check in a couple of times! The other crew that came on occasion worked hard as well. It was a great team effort. I am attaching a photo that was taken just after my fire pit was completed! I couldn’t have been more excited at that moment!!! It is awesome!

We had several trees planted by them. Watch out for the trees planted in Red Clay ! They used four of these from Kentucky, or somewhere, and they looked great for a bit over a year then slowly started to die. They are not acclimated to Michigan. We already replaced one on our own dime and are looking at having to either take our or replace the others. They offered $500 to compensate for over $3000 worth of trees - never use this place!

Warren came to perform my HVAC routine maintenance. He was punctual, polite, engaging, knowledgeable, and very communicative. He collaborated on a creative idea for my drain and offered parts support. He also recommended a plumbing fix and obtained cost estimates in real time. He went above and beyond. Haley continues to deliver high quality service. Thanks to all who support this for customers.

Matt solved the issue in just a few minutes. He was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Haley Mechanical provided great service at a fair price with no pressure or upselling. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Mark G txted and called to let me know he was 20 minutes out. He arrived during the first hour of the window of time in which I was told to expect him. From the start he was friendly, gracious, patient and kind with my dogs, and very thorough.

He spent about 2 hours going over the AC unit, both the interior and exterior portions. He also did some peripheral inspection of the furnace and water heater. He did both a visual inspection of all of the parts, as well as a lot of diagnostic testing of the electrical components and analysis of air in the intake and outflow pipes. I know this because he was kind enough to let me tag along and watch what he was up to.

Along the way he explained everything, gave me maintenance tips, and offered advice about how long certain things should last and what I might consider doing, and what might not be worth the expense given the age of the system.

I appreciated him explaining things to me because this is the first home with central air that I have owned, and in the months since we bought the house I had realized how ignorant of the system’s working I am. Also, because we bought the home in the winter, it wasn’t possible for the home inspector to properly evaluate the AC, because it was too cold to switch it on.

For what struck me as a very reasonable fee of $150, Mark not only evaluated and cleaned the AC system, and to some extent the furnace, he also educated me on how this portion of my house operates. Within a couple of hours after our meeting he sent an email with attached docs letting me know the pricing of various replacement options if I decide to go that route. I have a lot more peace of mind now, and for that I am grateful. Many thanks to Mark, and to Haley for making the scheduling easy!

I wanted to add a generator cut-over switch for my natural-gas-fueled heating system so that we could still get heat during power outages by powering the furnace system from a battery backup or a generator. On Dec. 17, 2025 Haley Mechanical sent out a technician, Dustin, to look at what I wanted to do. He understood immediately what I wanted, and he was in and out in under 10 minutes. A few hours later I got the quote for the work. It was a little higher than I had hoped, but I decided to accept the quote, because I was confident that the work would be done correctly.

Because of the holidays, it took a little while to get the work scheduled, but finally on Jan. 15, 2026, another technician named Kaydin came out to install the switch. Again, he knew exactly what to do, and installed the new hardware without difficulty. The whole operation took about two hours.

Kaydin also helped me test the cut-over switch, which we did by turning off the furnace power, connecting an extension cord between my Jackery battery backup system and the cut-over switch. When we flipped the switch from "LINE" to "GEN", the furnace immediately turned on, fired up the boiler, and within a few minutes the system was successfully pumping hot water to all of the radiators in the house. The Jackery indicated that the power draw was between 60 and 70 watts, so I figure that the Jackery could power the furnace for roughly 14 hours, even without re-charging it with the solar panels. So, I was completely satisfied that this cut-over switch gave me the heat security that I wanted. I have attached a picture of the switch and how it is connected to my furnace's power.

I especially appreciated how Kaydin handled the bitterly cold weather that we had that day. I had asked him to bring his equipment in and out through the garage, but to also make sure to close the garage door whenever he was done moving things to prevent heat loss through an open garage. I heard him open and then close the door multiple times, and so our home stayed nice and warm despite the frigid weather.

Colin did exceptional work and we are very pleased with the pendent lighting installation in the kitchen. He was thorough and did a good cleanup job after the work. Colin also provided a quick quote for additional work we needed done which allowed us to go ahead and order parts.
We got the extra light we ordered in and immediately called Haley to schedule Colin for the install. That was done promptly Colin came and within 45 minutes we had the new hall light installed. Excellent and timely work . Thank you!
