Came out and gave me a quote then never showed up even called them 3 times then 5 months later they call and asked if I still wanted service. Of course I already went with someone else.

Early spring I hired this company to take a tree down, gave full payment of a homemade trailer in which he agreed to in return to come back to provide additional services for the ramainder balance owned on trailer. While waiting to be paid rehired him to do an emergency cutting in exchange for a 1996 Dump truck in as is condition, owner agreed to do tree cutting with a $2000 balance owed to me. Was paid $1000 and signing the title was dodged all summer long, as of this review some four month later, no rail made and balance $1000 still owed. Now im force to seek legal action.

Whatever you do, do not hire this company! They absolutely destroyed my property and took down a magnolia tree that they should not have taken down. They quoted me $800 for the removal of a diseased tree in front, two trees, one on each side of the house, a small self planted tree in back, two other trees in the back, and clear out self planting trees from a healthy tree by our back patio. Mind you, this quote came 8 hours after they were supposed to be at my house. They showed without an appointment three days later to do the work. After 45 minutes, they said they were done and wanted $1000 because they said they had to remove more roots than expected in the back. When my wife went outside, she noticed they didn't cut either tree on the side of the house and cut down our prized magnolia tree which was not supposed to be touched and had a bird's nest in it. From what I can tell, they only used a chainsaw to cut these trees. No stumps were removed, even in the back where they said they had. One tree on the side, which he was supposed to remove, he said he "trimmed." To say what he did was a hack job would be an understatement. It looked like he simply broke branches and the tree (which was supposed to be removed), was not shaped at all. He said he would come back at 5:00 to see what he was supposed to have done and no showed. At 6:00, I called Home Advisor and registered a complaint because he did more damage to my property than work. Worse, when I was on the phone with Home Advisor and I advised him that he would not be receiving payment, he told me on a recorded line with Home Advisor that he would be dumping all of the trees back in my front yard. I had to advise him that I would call the city if he even considered doing that. Now I need to hire another company to fix his shoddy work and potentially sue this company for the loss of the magnolia.

Brent Nugent and his crew were absolutely fantastic! They took down several trees including very close to our home and ground down the stumps. Everyone on his crew were excellent to work with. He and his team went above and beyond including cleaning up everything. Brent also advised us regarding our other trees and their health and maintenance. Brent is an arborist. I highly recommend this professional service! John

An absolutely outstanding job. I had a dead pine tree in the front yard that was giving me a lot of agony fear of it falling. They came out and brought it down at a very affordable price as well as my next door neighbors tree.They were very thorough and did more than I expected. The clean up job made it look like they were never there. I called many tree services but there pricing was the best. Call on Brent Nugent and his guys for all of your tree service needs.

Brian was very efficient, gave me a bid right away that was very reasonable, the work was for 2 large trees removals and a row of arborvitae to be trimmed. The job was done in just over two hours including clean up. Very polite crew. I highly recommend them.

Brent Nugent and his team (courteous and very polite) exceeded my expectations. They trimmed my son's yard and cut a very large damaged tree in my yard. All of the trimming they did was more than I expected them to do. My son's yard looks great now. Brent was straight up about the price and stuck to the quote. I thought the job they did was worth way more than the quote. Highly recommended.

The crew was out working in my neighbors yard and I went to ask about an estimate to take down a sick tree. The owner was here the next day and the crew was onsite 4 days later. This was 3 days a head of what was promised. Could not ask for better service.

Good: Cut the tree down quick and efficiently. Cost effective.

Bad: they absolutely destroyed my yard. Ruts and holes. They pushed back my cut down date because of the rain multiple times but The day the came it rained in the morning and caused their trucks to sink into my yard. Not really sure how that makes sense to me. They also didn't give me a heads up they were coming that day as promised. Luckily we were home when they came.

Don’t always believe what you read when it comes to negative reviews! ! With that being said my husband and I hired Brent and his crew to drop a large pine in our front yard! Excellent turn around time and clean up! When Brent heard we heat with wood during the winter months he and his crew delivered large logs from another job that the home owners did not want free of charge to us! We are still burning this wood 2 years later! YES he gave us enough wood to cut that has past us that long! I do refer this company to friends and family even strangers and will continue to do so! We will be hiring them again soon for another tree that needs to be cut down! Brent and his crew also took care of a tree for my mom whom was recently widowed…he gave her a very fair price and clean up was excellent!

I can’t say enough good things about Cress Tree Service. I needed some limbs trimmed for my well to be dug out , they came out that day to do an estimate and we’re back two days later to do the tree trimming so I could get my well work done ASAP. Owner is very nice and the work is fairly priced. Highly recommend this company!

Great communication and the guys working were so respectful and professional! They came in and had the job done in about two days . I thought it was going to be a week of total chaos and was pleasantly surprised when everything was cleaned and tidy when the left! 100% would recommend!

My neighbor and I both had very large maple trees that due to age were becoming a risk to our homes. I set out to find a company to come fell both trees.

We ended up going with Cress Tree Service.

They did an amazing job and at the best price of all the estimates I received. They took the time to understand what we needed and how to manage the wood and debris from the process. We set a date and they showed up on time and got all the work done despite a couple call ins (day after Labor Day, go figure).

In my opinion, they went above and beyond my expectations as I wanted all the wood and resulting wood chips from the tree across the street as well. I assumed it would be my responsibility to figure out how to transport the logs and mulch, but they took care of it without even being asked!

For me, getting great service at a reasonable price is all I’m looking for when I have to hire out a job. Cress tree service met that expectation and more!
