Great staff and great work. They were able to get me in asap for a repair. Was budgeting for a really large price tag but they came in under expectations and did great work

Called for an estimate. Since I’m considered a new customer, apparently they don’t have the time to provide one. I was told they aren’t providing estimates for any work requiring one. Whatever that means. I wanted to support a local, Ferndale business. Guess that’s not happening.

Had an electrician come out from a different company and they had no idea what the issue was. I called McChesney and they had the issue fixes within a couple hours and it was less $200. Will be using them again.

Such a great experience, excellent communication from the office and electrician, more than fair pricing. I will be a return customer for all my electrical repairs and needs. Top notch service and value.

These guys are great. I was getting the runaround from DTE on electricity issues coming into my house. McChesney diagnosed what they couldn't in 5 minutes. They armed me with pictures and a clear write up of what was happening. And my DTE runaround came to a dead stop.

Chris was extremely nice and interactive. Checked all of the work before moving on to the next problem and answered all of my questions and concerns. I will defiantly be setting up another appointment to have some fixtures replaced.

I had 2 outside receptacles installed and couldn't be happier w/ the work and price. I called them on a Thursday and they had someone out Monday morning. Electrician was very personable and upfront. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

I called McCheaney Electric with a non-emergency. On the day of the appointment the electrician walked through everything with me answered all my questions and fixed the issue. I didn't get the run around and I didn't get sold something I didn't need. I was very satisfied with the service and the price I was charged was fair. I highly recommend.

Shane just left our house, he was super helpful, resolved our issue quickly but took the time to explain all the issues to us. We have an older home, and electrical issues can become quite intimidating, but I trust McChesney Electric to get to the bottom of it. So far, the prices have been very reasonable. 👍

I had such a great experience with McChesney Electric. Chris came out to install some interior lights and he really went above and beyond. I'm just in the process of moving in to this house and he did a walk through and found some loose wires that had the potential to be a safety hazard so he took care of those too. Anything I need in the future, I now know who to call!

Absolutely amazing experience. Would highly recommend. A storm caused a tree to fall on my roof. Because the tree damaged the electrical riser attached to my house, DTE said it was my responsibility to fix. Worse yet, the damage posed a potential fire hazard requiring immediate attention. It was after 3 p.m., on a Friday, of a long holiday weekend. After a dozen failed attempts, I called McChesney. Jane who took my call said she would get someone out there asap. Within the hour, the owner, Bob McChesney came to inspect the damage and determine what was needed. His crew showed up shortly thereafter. They did a great job and were very professional. I will be a customer for life.

I called McChesney because I had an issue where half of my home didn't have power. The day they came they told me they would be there between 2 and 5. They showed up at 2:01. Awesome. They figured out the problem, did some work at a couple outlets, and were gone within a half hour. The hourly price was the cheapest I found, and they waived the trip fee because I live in Ferndale! I'll definitely call them again if I ever need to, and I'll definitely recommend them to friends!

Came about 15 minutes past the hour and was very friendly. Completed my two repairs in no time and actually helped me with one extra that popped into my head while he was there. Great service, comparable pricing - would definitely recommend and use again.
The tech I had was Chris and he was top notch! Even sent me a link for spare screws for the electrical panel so I didn’t have to try to figure it out on my own!

I have used McChesney for years for any electrical work in my home. The electricians they send always arrive on time, are professional, take extra time to explain the work they're doing, and clean up after the work is done. Prices are stated up front and very fair. I've had them out twice during the pandemic, and they wore masks and were conscious of safety measures. I can't recommend them enough.

Just moved to the area and used McChesney Electric to ground our 2 prong outlets and move one of our outlets to a new location. Chris was professional, friendly, timely, and knowledgeable - he helped me pair our smart outlet to my phone. There was a tiny bit of dry wall dust on the ground from installing the new outlet and he vacuumed it up himself without even being asked. Excellent service, will hire again when needed :)

We had some small repairs done by McChesney a few years ago. They were great! The electrician was very friendly and helpful. He was able to fix what we needed. However, I recently called them for another job and didn’t even make it past the secretary. She was short and rude. She basically told me they aren’t taking on any appointments that require an estimate. So what exactly are they even doing? The secretary was very off-putting. Too bad because I enjoyed working with them in the past. I will seek working with a different company for my future electrical needs.

The McChesney crew re-wired our entire house after a fire a few years ago and I have been meaning to write this review. Their electricians were skilled, knowledgeable, competent, and personable. Would definitely call on them for any future electrical issues and would refer them in a heartbeat to any family or friends having electrical issues. It's refreshing to see a company that cares about their customer base and cares about the quality of their work and their workforce.😊
