First off, they never showed up on the first attempt. Rescheduled and they showed up an hour late. Lastly, they stole from me as well.

Spent almost $200 on the 6 hour deep clean. They barely finished one bathroom and I'm not exaggerating. My kitchen was never touched, my floors were not cleaned, the house was not vacuumed, and you walked in the home after and couldn't tell a single difference. Quite disappointing. On a positive, the team was nice

Usually I like to post good reviews about service providers whenever I can. Unfortunately, that is not Dusty's Cleaning. I bought a coupon from Living Social, $150 allegedly worth $300 for 6 hours of "deep cleaning," plus cleaning either the refrigerator or the oven; i.e., 2 women for 3 hours. I chose the oven. The two women arrived on time. That's the high point of the visit. They proceeded to spend most of the next 3 1/2 hours cleaning the upstairs bathrooms (2 1/2) and my bedroom, which consisted of dusting furniture, vacuuming a rug, and sweeping my laminate floor. In the bathrooms they cleaned the toilets, sinks, tubs (no mildew removal), and most of the mirrors, although they didn't empty the trash baskets and or clean the tile floor. But for all the time they took, my bedroom was barely touched. They swept under dressers that were high and easy to sweep under, but made no effort to sweep under my couch and the entertainment center, where the floor underneath was very dusty and full of litter (I have cats). They only vacuumed the rug where it was easy to reach. I had to point this out to Pamela, who took the vacuum back upstairs and asked me if I had any trash bags, because Dusty only gave them one small bag, like a Meijer grocery bag. Took another 25 minutes to vacuum/sweep the floor, and of course by then nothing on the first floor was touched.

Meanwhile, the other woman was cleaning my double ovens with a cleaner that had to be very toxic - I gagged when I walked into the room. I was worried about her lungs. My ovens were very dirty from recent holiday cooking, and when she finished, I was happy. The oven floors had all of the debris removed and looked great. Pamela handed me a checklist of items they had supposedly done that were never even touched (counters, kitchen table, cupboards), which she wanted me to initial. I had to put NO beside a number of items she claimed they had done, and add a comment where it said that I was satisfied with the service. I was disappointed at how little they accomplished and told them that when Molly Maid came, they always vacuumed downstairs. The woman who cleaned the oven cheerfully agreed to do that. I was glad for that, although the entire first floor was untouched (only the oven and microwave in the kitchen). Pamela went and sat in the car.

The next morning, my son looked in the oven and said, "I think there is still oven cleaner in here." I looked more closely and sure enough, the sides of both ovens are covered with that toxic spray she used to clean the oven. So great, the next time I cook, I can kill off my guests, thanks to Dusty's Cleaning. Of course not, I will have to spend hours undoing what Dusty's cleaners did.

I used Molly Maid for several years, but stopped this year when they kept having new people who were kind of rough handling things. But to their credit, in 2 1/4 hours they got the upstairs and the main floor cleaned, the downstairs vacuumed, and ALL the trash baskets emptied. I had really hoped Dusty's would be my next cleaning service. But instead, they gave me a new respect for Molly Maid, where at least the girls seem to have some type of training. I really felt like these young girls were just handed cleaning materials and told to get on the road. They came at 3:30 p.m. and didn't leave until after 7 p.m., and told me they had another job after mine. That's a grueling schedule.

In all, my advice is to save your money and not buy the Living Social coupon for Dusty's Cleaning. They were a huge disappointment, and actually left my home with a serious health hazard. The claim that you are getting $300 worth of cleaning for $150 is baloney. Molly Maid did a better job, in a shorter time, for $135. Guess I'll be calling them back.

Dusty's cleaning did a great job! I am a local realtor and hired them to clean a large home on Grosse Ile; they exceeded my expectations...I will definitely use them again!

You know, I had been using Dusty's for over a year and the relationship was always touch and go, ever since she made the unknowingly offensive comment about the history of blacks and their affordability of living in Midtown. However, she apologized and we continued to use their services. Subsequently, as her employees (at times high schools students) turned over, her ability to provide the services that attracted us declined (to the point we repeatedly had to discuss things missed to have payments adjusted). We were restricted to when the ladies could come, because "she didn't feel it was safe for the girls"...mind you, we live off the cobblestone road near Canfield in Midtown (I run at night). As a result, her times were always while we were at work. Typically we had to leave door unlocked with alarm set and the girls would call for us to disarm. One day, while at work rounding on patients (as I am a physician), the ladies called ONCE to notify they were outside. I checked maybe 20 minutes after the call and saw the text. I called back and no answer, later to find out they left. If they really wanted in, why did they call once? Dusty later notified that they wouldn't be able to service us any longer. This is perfectly fine, as we had an alternate cleaning Service that was much more flexible any way, and we always felt we were not their favorite home to Service (form your own interpretation as to why). Overall, I would say that if Dusty accompanies the ladies to your home then you get a good service. If they are unaccompanied, often many things are missed (like mirrors, which should be standard).

I hired Dusty's Cleaning to come in to help for spring cleaning and they did an amazing job. I will definitely use again in fact considering hiring to have come in at least once a month. Thank you for doing an amazing job, and I will refer to other friends and family :-)
