The supply desk personnel laugh at customers who ask for an electrician recommendation. Go here if that's how you want to be treated. The lady answering phones and the salesman, Kevin, are willing to be helpful. The supply desk . . . drunk?

I am a small contractor and went there to buy a range cord they tried charging me $76 for a $32 cord for the local people be careful because they are probably the only local supply house in your area trying to take advantage of you

I really can't say a bad word about my experience with Caniff. The customer service was top notch and the sales staff went the extra mile to meet my needs. Everyone I dealt with at Caniff was friendly yet professional. They will definately get my business in the future!!

I went there for my electrician to keep him going. The business is clean, uncluttered and the help was friendly and not condescending when your request is put in layman's terms. Can't speak to pricing but nothing raised my brow and I'm a man of modest means. 😁

No response to my voice mail... several times

They did an estimate for me. Unfortunately, they weren't available to take on my project, since they are downsizing.

We've been using Roy's Electric for our home and studio in Hamtramck for years. Always thorough, honest and easy to work with.

Replaced outdated main breaker box with new one up to code. Installed new GFI outlets throughout kitchen and bath for remodel. New wiring for more outlets, appliances and under cabinet LED lighting. New outdoor outlets.

Marty is a genuinely honest, good, and kind person. He will be straightforward with you and you can trust him. He will NOT rip you off. Do not let a general contractor handle your electrical work as they will charge you 3 times what Marty charges to pad their commission! Marty is a fabulous master electrician and he works hard and gets the job done. He is knowledgable about the latest lighting solutions and offers good advice. It was a pleasure working with Marty

Roy did the job (of replacing 6 main fuse panels with breaker panels), he billed us and got paid, but it turned out he never pulled the permit like Detroit requires, so now we can't pass an electrical inspection. I got a hold of him once in about 2014 after we failed our inspection because of this, and he said he'd talk to the city and he didn't think he needed one. But he never got back to us and has never answered the phone or returned messages since. I need to pass elec inspections to stay licensed. I posted this once before, and Roy's lied and said I was never their customer and they have no records of me, and then got my review deleted. So this time I'm including pics of some of my receipts.
