Had a tree that needed to be removed ASAP. Pollard Tree Service came out to estimate the job within an hour and had the tree down an hour after that with no issues despite the difficult terrain.

The tree we had cut down was 75 feet tall and was leaning towards our home. It was a dangerous job to ask of someone but I am grateful they had the skill to do it. I am very happy with the outcome.

pollards tree service took down a huge tree in our backyard hauled it all away ground the stump filled in holes with black dirt seeded and fertilized. This was a very messy and dangerous tree next to our house. We decided it had to go. Pollards guys were friendly professional and didn’t damage anything

Like all contractors, these people tell you how "busy" they are. They were so busy, that they felled a large tree and RUINED my prized, younger Red Maple and a flagpole. They refused to clean up THAT mess since they were SO BUSY. I asked the owner to assess said HUGE tree, 5 months earlier. Since they didn't wan't to take it on in fall, 2023, owner acted like and stated, ""Oh, it's such a wonderful tree, I would wait." I told him that the crown and HUNDREDS of felled cones made me think otherwise. I was worried - SO CLOSE to my house. He acted like it might be a "water issue - keep hosing the trunk and ground." What a complete waste of water. it should have been felled then. Said main guy or partial owner pretends to be an arborist. Mabey he is. Finally, after hundreds or gallons of water, and hundreds of felled cones and new growth twigs, I realized that he was just lying to me and didn't want to do the deed. I had their company the year before to do tree and bush work and they charged plenty. Finally, in March, I called again and said, "Why? This tree needs to go!" So, he comes over, felled the huge tree, in one fell swoop - took minutes. That pine was insanely tall. He said that he would avoid the flag pole and ONLY would affect a few branches on my prized Red Maple. His quick takedown took out 1/2 of my Red Maple and put the flagpole at a 45 degree angle. He said, "I won't take town those but MJ Landworks (their back-up group) could. I said, "You said you wouldn't decimate the tree or the flagpole." He said, sorry, It just happened up to MJ to fix. He ran over to collect the $550. for the Jack Pine takedown, but what he damaged cost me another $1,200 from MJ Landworks, not even including the dirt coverage (which MJ skimped on, big time - they did good work but gave me a hard time on dirt fill. They did a good job but it was COSTLY, to say the least. I complained to BBB about Pollard and later, found out that, as a business, they no longer were registered with BBB. Gee, wonder why? Since the rapid takedown took out my prized (half was sheared) Red Maple and the flagpole, that Pollard refused to take responsibility for (a quick take down of a tree is totally different than a gradual one. In early March, with less business, I wasn't given a choice). As far as I'm concerned, Pollard (who has since withdrawn from BBB) owes me $1,200. Since they refused to remove my prized Red Maple (after damaging half of it - I have pictures) and bending my flagpole to a 45 degree angle, I should not have had to pay for the removal. I needed it. I was sick to my stomach. Still, Pollard left it to MJ Landworks to finish it off. I still want to vomit when I go to my front yard, thanks to Pollard's carelessness.Incidentally, I called Pollard because, even though I felt like I was OVERCHARGED, they removed bushes, ground down a medium sized trunk, (something another crooked tree company left, a year earlier) and took down a SMALL, dead tree - stump still there. That cost me 2 grand, with clean up. I knew, as a woman in need, I was being ripped off. Women in need have to pay up for contractor services while still getting ripped off with inferior services. All I am trying to do is preserve my historic 152 year old home, unique to the area, without the help of the local historical society. The Dutch care, put won't pay. Notoriously cheap. Houses like mine are disappearing or being altered. Owners of these unique, and few surviving houses are getting NO support from the Dutch municipalities. The West Michigan Dutch care little about their history if it involves money. They are notoriously cheap. Because of the $$, they don't care. They won't give up a cent. The cheapest people in the world, even though they are well off, are the Lakeshore, West Michigan Dutch. The museum will take anything, Holland WM Dutch related, if it is FREE. They can replace and rennovate all they care to. That is great. Still, ignoring unique architectural history, or handing swaths of old , historic houses over 2 Hope College, now gone. Pathetic

First, they answered the phone. That's more than I can say for most. They scheduled an appointment for an estimate, which was met on time. The work was scheduled and done on time by three guys who were personable and professional. A window screen was accidentally damaged, and quickly repaired. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Great service! He came out and understood our needs. He is kind and cut up the tree and branches in 16 in pieces so our kids could help pickup/clean up for firewood. Thank you so much!

Extremely fast getting us the quote upon request and then coming and completing the job. They left no trace that they or the trees and brush they removed had ever been there. There was no damaged gardens which is impressive considering the trees and shrubs were surrounded by flower gardens. They also had excellent communication through the service. Our neighbors also commented on how impressed they were with the service.
