I recently had the pleasure of working with Brad and Greg from Hopkins Electric, two professional and skilled brothers who tackled the immense task of rewiring our old house.

Our home was filled with an intricate network of hidden and outdated knob and tube wiring. Brad and Greg, like the Indiana Joneses of electricians, boldly stepped into the fray, undaunted by the challenge of rewiring the entire house. Armed with Romex and a can-do attitude, they worked quickly and conscientiously to complete the project (and they minimized the number of holes they had to cut in our walls).

Throughout the project they were consistently communicative. They made sure my wife and I were informed about their progress and any changes in plans. Their presence in our home felt comfortable and non-intrusive, and they had no problem with our crazy pup :)

If you're in West Michigan and have an old house that needs some electrical TLC, I wholeheartedly recommend Hopkins Electric!

If you need electrical work done in West Michigan, I highly recommend Hopkins Electric! They replaced a globe light with 6 LED wafer lights in my downstairs area in about 2 hours! They did great work at a fair price. They even helped problem solve and changed their plan on the fly when what I originally wanted to do wouldn’t work due to the ducts. They were friendly and professional!

I flipped the switch on in the basement and 4 of the 6 can lights instantly went out. I knew something wasn't right. I called Service Professor since I didn't really know who to call. The man who came out told me I needed new wiring and lights. Also the fuse panel needed replacing. He said we should have the outlets redone as they were "arcing" instead of having a solid connection. He also recommended that I get a new grounding rod as the one I have is plastic. That was all to the tune of over $9,000. I looked through Google looking for another company for a second opinion. I came upon Hopkins and I liked that they were a Christian company so I called them. Brad and Greg came out and fixed the connection to the lights in the basement and the one outlet that wasn't wired right. The fuse panel looked great to them and the grounding rod was just fine as it goes 8 feet into the ground, was grounded properly and just had the plastic over it, I'm assuming for safety, I didn't need all the work that Service Professor said I needed. I spent $150. Everything works great now. These guys are honest, friendly, very professional and very reasonable. I have been telling a lot of people about Hopkins even if they aren't needing an electrician at this moment. I definitely give them 5 stars and HIGH recommendation.

Hopkins Electric came and removed the old canned ceiling lights in our basement and put in beautiful LED ceiling lights. They didn't damage the ceiling either. Looks great! When Service Professor was here in May to evaluate our electrical problem (see previous post) I was told they couldn't guarantee the ceiling wouldn't get damaged and said that Service Professor isn't responsible for any damage that may occur. The Hopkins guys did a great job at a very reasonable price. Another 5 stars for them!

Brad and Greg did a fantastic job replacing our service, meter, new panel, several new circuits, and replacing all existing receptacles and switches. They scheduled our work quickly and communicated promptly and in detail to work out the scope of the project ahead of time. They showed up on time, worked hard, coordinated with inspection and utilities, and completed on schedule while ensuring everything was checked and working properly. Our project involved some tight spaces and lots of dealing with existing wiring. Brad and Greg brought everything up to proper working order. We would highly recommend them for any project.

Hopkins Electric is our only go to for all of our electric service needs! Greg and Brad wire up all of the swimming pools I build and wire up my hot tubs. They also help me with my store's needs as well. Never had any worries and their pricing is spot on. Two truly professional Sparky's! I love them!!!

Outstanding Service! We had Hopkins Electric run a line with a timer to a post in our yard for a new above ground pool. They were fast, super kind, and competitively priced against other quotes we received. When they found out our pool didn't have something that's required for our township (and Watson's pool didn't have them), they went above and beyond to find that part and brought it out right away. We also had them add a 30 amp plug for our RV. Would use again without hesitation for every time we have electrical needs!

I am beyond happy with my whole experience. I had the team at Hopkins Electric install a new meter box onto my house. They worked hand to hand with consumers to make it an effortless experence for me. They where quick and very thorough. I was treated like family and you can tell that they love helping people and that they love what they do. I would recommend them everyday of the week.

Brad and Greg do good work. They communicate well and are respectful. I would definitely call them again anytime I need an electrician. It is always nice to have a company to call when needed and feel confident about the choice.

Hopkins Electric did a fantastic job! We had a few electrical projects that we needed done, one of which was a little trickier and they came up with a few creative solutions for us and got the job done. Very friendly, responsive, professional and FAST! They even let us add an additional last minute project to the mix. They do great work! 10/10 would recommend.
