Tree reviews in Newaygo, Michigan

Prices were great, $10 for a yard of fill sand, and it was super clean. Awesome service too!

They were extremely professional fast and did a fantastic job. If there were more stars we would add them. Answered Amy questions you had. Great cleanup and really cared about customer service. Would recommend them to anyone !!!!!!!!

Prompt and courteous service, they did everything they said they would. I will not hesitate to use Alpine in the future!

Malcolm and his crew are amazing! Understanding, personable, and professional. Highly recommend this team for your tree cutting needs.

I heard about them through a nephew, Jeremy Vandenbosch.
To just recommend Malcolm, Tim, and thier team at Alpine Tree Service would be an injustice. The next step needs to be taken.
Inotherwords, if anyone had tree work, or excavating to be done, and dont call Alpine? They would be a fool. Thier team literally transformed our yard from an absolute mess, to one anyone would be proud. We had 20 or more huge oaks, maples etc, leaning towards our house and a landscapers nightmare hill on the side with uneven ground everywhere. When they were done, there was no mess, no cleanup for us to do. They raked, swept and took care of it as though it was something personal.
My wife and I are totally impressed and down the road we will be hiring them again for more projects. Very polite and professional. Big business work, at small town prices.
Thank you Alpine!!

My neighbor rents his house I own mine. No one came and spoke to me about cutting my trees that fell, from another neighbor yard, during a storm. We have been waiting on another neighbors insurance as her tree took out my trees. I was called lazy when I noticed them taking my Oak wood, but they never come talk to us about why we were waiting.

I hired this Alpine Tree Service out of Big Rapids to cut down several trees for us in Canadian Lakes and the job they did was less than satisfactory. My yard is all dug up and they did not fix their mess. Also, they were supposed to grind the stumps as part of the job but they only took it down just below the surface. I am doing landscaping and have discovered the issue but now they will not return my call to come out and fix their mistake.

This company is awesome. My property and house was hit by a storm in late August and over 100 trees came down on my property. It was a nightmare. The only good thing is that I found Alpine and they did such an amazing, professional and thorough job. Probably a half dozen of my neighbors had them do work for them as a result, since we all got hit by the same storm, and everyone is happy. Great people, amazing skills, wonderful crew

Malcolm and his crew were professional, courteous and very responsive to our difficult situation with tree removal after our storm damage ! Great value. Thank you for your great work, I would recommend you guys to anyone that needs tree work done !

Awesome company and great price. These guys bring out all the big guns. And take care of your needs all in 1 day. They had 3 guys in a tree at once. My tree was massive, hanging over a fence and 2 houses. Really awesome to watch these guys work. I'm never calling another tree service place besides Alpine again!!

Fair price, and the work was done well. The job was done thoroughly and the owner had good insights about what the trees did & didn't need. They cleaned up afterward very well - there was almost no evidence of them having been at the house (and this job included 6 removals & trimming of another 5-6 trees). My only point of frustration was that they were hard to pin down on a date to get the work done. But now that it's done, I'm pleased. Wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

This company was hired for tree services on behalf of my county. I had two giant black walnut trees in my front yard. One they just trimmed a few branches. They removed the other entirely. They were professional, fast, efficient, and fun to watch. They cleaned everything up as they went along. I was super impressed with this team! I’m hoping to hire them to trim an 80 ft sycamore tree in my backyard.

We are one of the many that have dead oaks trees that are close to GLE electric lines and had them removed..Both crews were awesome and did a great job..and very respectful of my property very friendly

Wow! I have been overwhelming impressed. Alpine was contracted to remove trees near electrical lines in our area (N. Branch Rd in Watervliet, MI) and they did the job on time, they contacted us by leaving a message on our door a week prior to the work and in person the day of the cutting. Each person was professional, polite, and definitely knew their job. They respected our property and left the area extremely clean . Thank you Alpine!

The owner of the company helped me out when my car was broke down. I did not do business with this company however I can attest for the character of the ownership. If you do business with this company you are doing business with good people.

Called them and came out same day and gave quote.
Came next morning and got tree off my garage for a fair price.
Couldn't ask for better service, Thanks again Harold.

I recently had Alpine trim and remove some trees for me. Harold managed this project perfectly. The crew went above and beyond to win our future business. Thank you team.

Malcom came out in the rain, spur of the moment to give us an estimate. Malcom and his crew went above and beyond, figuratively and literally. Could not be happier with trusting Malcom at our 5th generation woodsy cabin. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience with Alpine Tree Service. Crew was very respectful, professional and quick. They said none of the roses and other plants around the tree would have to be removed and would not be damaged and that was absolutely true. Will definitely hire them again when we remove other trees.

Great for Removal, Not for Tree Health
If you need a tree removed quickly and efficiently, this company is a solid choice. They're clearly skilled at taking down trees and handle the process well.

However, it's crucial to understand that they are a tree removal service, not arborists. This distinction is incredibly important, especially if you care about the long-term health of your trees. They lack the specialized knowledge and certification of arborists to understand proper tree biology, growth patterns, and the nuanced techniques required for healthy, corrective, or structural trimming. Improper cuts can severely damage a tree, leading to disease, weakened limbs, and even shorten its lifespan.

So, if your goal is to simply get a tree removed, they'll do a good job. But for any work related to the overall health, pruning, or care of your trees, you'll need to seek out a certified arborist instead.

No other tree service could remove the tall pine tree hanging over our roof . Alpine came in and did a great job of removing that huge pine and several other trees that needed to go . They ground the stumps and even cleaned the pine needles off the roof .
