3 year old furnace not working. They've been out twice now and it's still not working. Charging way too much for doing nothing.

I hired him 3 weeks ago.to fix my pipes around my toilet And he did a lousy job. It leaking like crazy again I will not hire him again

These guys strung us along for months about a quote for my small shower and they never got back with me but every time I called kept saying "oh we will call back in a couple days or the owner was on vacation etc etc. it's fine I'll give someone else my money lol

My furnace went out in the middle of the night just a few days ago. I called them in the morning time but it was before they opened with the intention of leaving a message. A woman answered the phone and asked one of the technicians if he could come look at my furnace before he started his work day. He was at my house within the half hour and got my furnace up and running within minutes. He even took the time to explain to me what went wrong and how to check for it in the future. I'm a single mom of three and this is our first home, it meant a lot to me. Thank you.

This place is a joke! I'd rather freeze then ever deal with these incompetent people. I've never had such terrible customer service in all of my life. My parents furnace went out and they (shoemakers) came out earlier in the day to "fix" it (mind you, it was 2 days after the initial call). Later that evening their furnace decided to over heat their house! They called my husband who is also an HVAC technician with Citizen Gas to come and help figure out why the house was so hot. After he looked at it and safely shut the furnace down so the blower motor didn't catch fire... I called consumers to have them honor their service plan only to be directed to their so called contractor... Shoemakers. Their idea of a service tech calls and speaks to my husband who told him exactly what he needed and the brand needed or a back up if they didn't have that part in stock. HE DID HIS JOB FOR HIM by diagnosing the problem saving him a ton of time! I was then told later by consumers when we hadn't heard anything that the service idiot from Shoemakers would not be out as he filed an "act of violence" against my husband!!! What is that you ask??? It's the great unknown is what it is but apparently when that is filed, the service tech does NOT need to come out and consumers has the right to put a hold on your account and guess what folks... you go without heat!!!! When the idiot service tech finally calls my parents back over an hour later... he tells them that is an uncommon part that he doesn't have it in stock. If their house is at 77 degrees they should be fine until the morning. HELLLLLLOOOOOO it was 24 degrees outside, the temp in the house went up to 90 degrees and fell to 77 in an hour. Do the math... Its going to consistently go down through out the night!!! HE then tells them he'll be out in the morning to fix the furnace... Didn't he just say he'd have to order the part?? OH let me fill you in on one more tidbit of info... this all took place on New Years Eve about 9:30... HOW is he going to order a part on January 1 and have it first thing in the morning to me to fix my furnace??? YEAH can we say LAZY!!!! I will NEVER ever recommend this place to anyone and my parents will surely cancel their so called service contract with consumers if they contract with incompetent people like this. They'll buy Citizen's service contract for 1/2 the price they were paying to have MORE of their appliances covered AND get service in a very reasonable amount of time and probably by nicer more caring people!

Furnace went out and found that the control board was bad. Out of ten local HVAC companies the woman at the front desk of Shoemakers was the only one to research and find the newly updated version of the control board and verify it was in stock and quickly called me back. I went to the store and purchased the part right away. I was able to swap out the board in 15 minutes and thank goodness we now have heat. I am over whelmingly thankful for great customer service and quick response. I will say that I had the capabilities to replace the part but do not recommend working on electrical or furnace repairs unless certified in HVAC. They will be my first and only call next time. I apologize not getting her name but I am very thankful she answered the phone.

These guys are the best. AC went out, Kevin and the team came out and gave advice/options. No hard selling, just advice that fit our situation...team was professional and got the job done in one day.
