For our big electrical project, we chose the quote we received from Grant, owner of D & E Electric LLC, of Portland, MI., Grant deserves at least 10 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Grant is a kind, friendly, and nice man with exemplary skills and knowledge of his trade. Grant went over and above with his top notch professionalism and expertise in providing an electric replacement service upgrade. Grant began the major electric project (job) at 7:20 a.m., to do prep work inside before Portland Tri County Electric arrived at 9:15 a.m., to disconnect the power at the utility pole. Then, Grant went outside to begin the tedious work of replacement and reinstallation upgrade of the electrical service that faulted during severe high wind damage in Spring of this year, to the main power service line for the home. Grant allotted time for up to a possible full day+ work. However, Grant was able to complete his work (the job) before 2 p.m.! The Ionia County Electrical Inspector arrived and inspected Grant's work and presented him with a green tag of approval. TriCounty Electric of Portland was called to return to reconnect the power at the utility pole, and power was reconnected before 3p.m. This was an outstanding coordinted project! We highly recommend Grant of D & E Electric of Portland, MI., for all of your electrical needs. He is A+ Thank you Grant! Respectfully submitted, Michael & Gail Gesselman. Ionia, MI.

Grant and Chase recently completed some work on our home. We were impressed with the service and flexibility of the work done, and they cleaned up after completing the job as well.

Our house is "used" and, thus, subject to issues as we update it. Most issues we can resolve, but sometimes, we need an expert. Today, that expert was Grant from D&E of Portland. We've worked with Grant a number of times over the years with different houses, and as long as he is around, he is our go-to. Cannot say enough good things about him and refer him to others every chance we get. THANK YOU GRANT!

Frequently asked questions
-
Is GigoPro free to use?
Yes. Browsing businesses, reading reviews, and comparing electricians is free for everyone. Business owners can create a basic listing at no cost.
-
How do you verify businesses on GigoPro?
Every profile goes through moderation before it appears in search. We check that the business is real, actively operating, and actually performs the work it claims. For regulated trades like electrical work, we look for proper licensing, and we automatically hide inactive listings.
-
How do I choose the right electrician?
Start with ratings and recent reviews, then confirm the company is licensed and insured for your specific type of work. Contact two or three providers, ask for written estimates, and compare what each quote includes, not just the bottom line.
-
Can I list my business on GigoPro?
Yes. Create a free business profile to reach local customers searching for your category. You can update services, photos, and contact details anytime, and customers can book you directly from your profile.
-
How often is the directory updated?
Business owners update their own profiles. Our team also refreshes hub pages and removes inactive listings to keep search results current. For example, this page is reviewed and updated monthly.
-
Do I need a permit for electrical work?
Most significant electrical work — new circuits, panel upgrades, rewiring, and solar installations — requires a permit and inspection in most jurisdictions. A licensed electrician handles the permit process and schedules the inspection. Ask about permits before you book.
-
How do I know if my panel needs an upgrade?
Common signs include breakers that trip often, adding major loads (EV charger, solar, heat pump, new kitchen), or still having a fuse box or a 100-amp panel. A licensed electrician can assess your panel and load capacity in a visit.
-
Are electricians on GigoPro licensed and insured?
Electrical work is regulated in every state. Ask each electrician for their license number and proof of insurance before work begins. Professional companies expect these questions and answer them without hesitation.
-
How much does electrical service cost?
Costs vary by job type, region, and complexity — there is no honest single number. Reputable electricians give written estimates after assessing the job, and comparing two or three of them is the best way to understand what your work should cost.
-
Can I leave a review after booking through GigoPro?
Yes. After your job is done, you can rate the electrician and describe your experience. Verified reviews from recent jobs help the next homeowners in your city choose well — and keep listed professionals at their best.
